Aspenwald Tent or RV Site 5
Great site for 2 families!
We stayed in site 5 - easily fit two families with larger tents! Site was beautiful & quiet. Kids enjoyed exploring! Would certainly recommend THIS site. Not sure if I would love staying at the other sites as they were either hardest to get to or closer to other campers.

Site 7 - Tent
Site 7 is beautiful, tucked away from the road, nice and quiet, lots of shade. The driving instructions are spot on and John is an excellent host. I'd highly recommend site 7

Aspenwald Tent Site 3
Beautiful Location, but not for me.
This was my first time using Hipcamp so I didn't really have any expectations. I am a car camper, so having to haul my camp gear 30 to 40 yards to my site, was a new experience for me. I will read the description more thoroughly next time. :) Campsites 1-3 are quite close together in spite of the Aspen trees that are scattered throughout the sites. When the location is described as large acreage, I guess I expected the sites to be more spread out. This type of site is not for me. I wanted peace and quiet. That was not going to happen for the 2 days that I booked. Two families and a large group that arrived a day later was enough for me to vacate a day early. I found a nice quiet campsite in the nearby Pike National Forest and spent my second night there. That was just what I needed! Bottom line, if you don't mind being close to your fellow campers this location will not be an issue for you. Consider Site 5, 6 or 7 (I saw the last 2 sites when I drove past the parking area, but don't remember seeing them on the App. Those sites should provide a little more privacy.

We LOVED this site. It was huge! So great to have some tents and a whole kitchen setup and not be cramped. We loved our stay - the host thought of so many amazing details
