We loved Arapaho valley campsite! Our glamping tent was perfect for our needs and had many helpful items (towels, basic set of kitchenware, extra blankets, etc). The site itself has a beautiful view, free activities like fishing and canoe and was quiet in the evenings. We would definitely come back and highly recommend!

Great camping spot!

We loved visiting Arapahoe Valley Ranch! We stayed in the glamping tent. The tent was very clean and comfortable. The bathrooms were always clean. The staff really made the experience wonderful they were all fantastic. The views were incredible. I highly recommend this camping spot. We really hope to come back one day!

This is our second time here. We had a wonderful time! The staff is friendly, the facilities are great (especially the lodge and fire pit), and it’s a beautiful place!

We have been going to AVR for years and loved it! They have recently put A LOT of $ into renovations and improvements…and it looks great, and prices have gotten a bit much, but still a beautiful campground…but, as with growth something usually declines and the customer service definitely has. Our interaction may be due to a wedding that was to take place, that had staff stressed BUT…no excuse. We stay in the same spot every year, love it! We pack especially for the spot and book it months in advance (this year booked it on Jan. 2nd…for a late July weekend). When we arrived we were surprised that our spot was taken! We were told that they changed the numbering of the sites and the new # of the site we booked was taken! Wow, ok, but even worse we were then told that they had booked us into a completely different loop…and to pile on it was a loop that was packed with loud kids, which a very kind guest who overheard the convo let us know and suggested we avoid that loop. The check in girl called the manager who seemed to not really care. We were told we could take any empty spot, fortunately the loop we loved had a spot right next to the site they gave away. We were told that AVR was having problems with Hipcamp and that we really should book through AVR. We were also told that we should have paid extra for a “don’t change” reservation…which I never heard of. We had already driven 2.5 hrs so decided to stay. Asked for a noon checkout and was denied “because of the wedding.” Sad.

RV07 RV Site

What a beautiful place has all the amenities you need, we stayed in RV site and we had a blast. Arapaho Bay is such a view and the kids had so much fun. Staff was very nice. Will definitely recommend to everyone.

Enjoyed, but road limits return

The park and campsites were all nice and what to expect from a National Park. There was hiking, biking, lakes, rivers. For an avid fisherman had a nice time. The only downside or caution was the road onto and back out. It was the worst washboard gravel/clay road that beat the heck out of our motor home for 7 miles in and then back out. We also had added excitement of two teenage bears liked to visit every night searching for food. But with drought conditions and limited food totally understandable.

River Lookout Camping Site - 18ft

We had so much fun at AVR! Our site overlooks the river and Osprey nest and the view was spectacular! We couldn’t be more thrilled with the accommodations. Saturday night they played a movie with popcorn and we enjoyed playing bags and giant connect-4. The saloon was a plus for the adults! We spent much of our days playing and fishing in the river and hope to take advantage of the paddle boards and whatnot on their lake next time. The playground was great for the kids and the duck parade was adorable. We will certainly be back next summer!!

Camping Site 25

Highly recommend! 10 out of 10! We camped in spot 25 (site 7 at the campground) and it was in the far back away from everything. This is what we wanted. Although, we were the furthest away from the vault toilets, we were closer to the river so we could fish. We booked it after the holidays so there was no one there. Even if there was, there’s enough space between the campsites. Key things to note. Getting there, you will need to drive about 6 miles on a dirt road. Our AWD SUV was fine for the drive. You will check in at the store. The store has some random snacks and things you may want or need, like ice or pancake mix. As part of your stay, you have use of the canoes and bikes. The lake was pretty low, so we weren’t able to paddle board but that’s ok. There were even fresh duck and chicken eggs for free! 4pm is the duck parade! The store is attached to the lodge which is a great place to hang out. There’s a pool table, deep seated cushioned chairs for lounging, some board games, fresh coffee for everyone at 8am. There’s Wi-Fi at the lodge if you need it. Outside the lodge, there’s a fresh spring water spigot so you can refill your water jugs. We did see a bear across the river and a moose swimming the lake where we took the canoe out. Next time, we’re getting a cabin! I did enjoy our tent camping, but the cabins looked great to stay in. Can’t wait!

Basecamp Camping Site - 45ft

The property is nice enough. I did not get the site I booked and the one I got was not tent friendly. I booked site 18 but ended up with site 12. It was basically a long, rocky driveway. The picnic table was virtually unusable because of the sloped angle it was set at. I know this is out of the property owners control, but be advised, the dirt road to get to the property is Very rough, basically a washboard gravel road. The property was very quiet and the shower area i used was nice.

The kids and I loved it here! We used the free fishing poles and canoes on the gorgeous pond. The girls loved the park and free popcorn. We found some fun kid friendly hikes as well. Great place to go with the kids.

Amazing location and no light pollution. We have stayed here for many years but this is the first time under the new ownership. They are doing an amazing job with the property as well as the upgrades. Can’t wait to return again later this summer.

This place was so beautiful! There were lots of options to stay in an RV or a TP cabin, etc. They had lots of activities to do, including canoeing and paddle boarding! It was a great experience and we will be back!

AVR is a private and peaceful space to camp with many amenities.

AVR is a private and peaceful space to camp with many amenities and proximity to the national forest and the Granby entrance to RMNP. Monarch Lake and its many trails are within walking distance. Be prepared for a very bumpy and dusty 8 miles on the last stretch of washboarded dirt road to get there.

We had an amazing stay at Arapaho Valley Ranch.

We had an amazing stay at Arapaho Valley Ranch and after we left, wished we stay longer. The ranch had amazing views and walking distances to many trails and lake. The amenities such as the bathroom and shower was spotless and plenty of hand and shower towels. With a 32ft RV, we had no issue getting down to the ranch and leaving. I would definitely come back and recommend this place to anyone!

I originally booked site 9 because it had full hookups.

I originally booked site 9 because it had full hookups, unfortunately the sewer hookup is on the other side of the site (right side of the camper) so I wasn’t able to use it. This site is right in the middle of everything I was willing to sacrifice some privacy for the sewer hookup but that didn’t work out. Luckily some other sites were available so we moved to site 17, the site was private but came with more connection issues. The water hook up was at the front of the site on the right side as well. I ended up parking the camper temporarily to fill the fresh tank and then backed into the site. Other than the odd connection locations I really liked the place. Nights were quiet and peaceful, and the views were amazing. I was bummed the red dog saloon wasn’t open during our trip though.
