We are a family-owned 100-acre ranch in the Roaring Fork Valley. We offer four units. Our L’il pond yurt, the “Out of Africa” tent, the “Stargazer” family tent, and our “Cozy Cowgirl” cabin. All of our these are furnished in rustic chic. We are your “Base Glamp” for exploring Maroon Bells, Hanging Lake, the Carbondale Creative District, Redstone Castle, and hot springs galore. When you are on the ranch you are far from the crowds and are able to kiss our friendly Alpacas, ride our horses, learn about Zebus, and collect eggs from our chickens. We have wonderful trails through the woods onto open lands for hiking. Our guests love to take a farm tour,or experience Alpaca Yoga and then head out for all of the adventures in the valley. After your big day you can take a hot shower in our luxurious bathroom tent, come to the barn and chat with other guests and then grill some of our farm-raised pork or beef and enjoy a glass of wine and the awesome sunset colors on Mt. There is plenty of space with abundant views and beautiful sunsets. You can leave your teepee on your mountain bike and bike directly to the premier 18 road mountain biking trails. We had a great time staying on Meghan’s land. We rolled in late for our stay, but had no trouble with the clear instructions she provided. The yurt is truly a treat, coming stocked with camping stove supplies so we were able to cook some light meals. I also really enjoyed the wood-burning stove to keep warm. We also treated ourselves to some camel milk fudge and camel yarn. We stopped here for our trip to Great Sand Dunes, and Meghan recommended we stopped at Sand Dunes Recreation hot springs in Hooper nearby. It was just what we needed! Incredible place for a desert getaway.

A quaint full fledged farm experience in a charming yurt. It really is just as good as a high-end hotel but all the right kinds of disconnects. No screens, WiFi is there but you’ll forget about connecting. Horses greet you. The moon rises over the prairie and makes a picturesque evening.

Huge space, but dark inside. Bring candles or additional lanterns. Cooler provides which is great. Cookware also provided along w/ some cooking oil (likely a previous guest) Remote-ish location. You can hear trickle of stream and cars from road, but at night there are few cars. Area around yurt could use some landscaping to make it more appealing.

Queen size memory foam mattress and pillows, linen and throw blankets, fold out cots for the kiddos are available (no bedding supplied for cots).

Weekend Trip to Old Moon Acres Tipi Haven

Everything was nice and clean, which I have come to release expectation around, when camping. I took my daughter and her three friends for her birthday and we played and sang and ate and it was great. The original listing said there was a lake, but the owners were really wonderful in explaining that the previous owners perhaps thought they were supposed to list what was near by, rather than what was on the property. They offered to bring out the irrigation cannon for the girls to play in the water and they absolutely loved it! Hot cranky teens are no fun, so I was extra grateful for this. The portapotty's were super clean and didn't smell like chemicals, someone helped us find fire wood and it was peaceful and lovely through and through. I would recommend this to anyone , especially if you're tired of the desert and want to lay in the hammocks among the trees by a little creek.

This was a fantastic spot! We stayed with two adults, a six year old, and two dogs and had plenty of room. Bruce has provided everything you could need. It was so nice to camp without having to pack all the supplies and set up when arriving. It was very quiet and we had a great time! We would love to come back!

This is a distinctive and special place. I enjoyed the lovely creek, unique yurt, and distance from yet proximity to the amenities of town (Ward Mountain Exchange and Marrocco’s restaurant). It’s a bonus to have t Brainard Lake recreation area just 20-minute or so drive away. Be prepared to get out of the yurt on hot afternoons. It cools down nicely once the sun lowers.

I had such a great weekend glamping here! The tent was super cozy and had everything we needed—plenty of supplies, thoughtful touches, and a peaceful vibe that made it easy to relax and unplug. My boyfriend and I loved the overall experience and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet getaway in nature. Just a heads up: the property is at the very end of a long, bumpy dirt road, and it took us over 30 minutes of slow driving to get there. It’s definitely manageable with the right vehicle, but something to keep in mind when planning your trip. All in all, a beautiful spot with everything you need for a great outdoor escape. Also very pet friendly. We’d stay again!
