Within a 60-minute drive from the Moraine Park Discovery Center.
Located perfectly between Boulder, Nederland, and Rocky Mountain National Park, and very close to other stunning hikes, this spot is a great landing pad to have easy access to some of the most beautiful places in the Rockies as well as offering it's own breathtaking scenery. This land is the sacred land of the Arapaho tribe. Chief Niwot and his tribe spent winters here. It is a very special place. The property is a mile long so there is plenty of space with the tent sites being 1/2 mile from the yurt and separate entries for each. There are currently 3 tents sites available, a bell tent, and a yurt. Please read the entire description for your specific site before booking.

This is the perfect location on 42 beautiful acres surrounded by National Forest, 20 minutes from Boulder, 45 from Rocky Mountain National Park, and very close to Brainard Lake recreation area, Rainbow Lakes Trail, and Switzerland Trail. A beautiful creek runs through the camping area and you can also listen to the tranquil sounds of the Aspen trees. Have dinner in Boulder one night and spend the day in Rocky Mountain National Park the next. (Don't forget your timed reservation permit.) This primitive tent camp site is about 50 yards from where you will park so more ideal for people who like to travel light. This site shares an entrance with two other camp sites that use the same bridge for access. The other sites are about 25-50 yards away with plenty of trees in between the sites and there is a yurt about 1/4 mile west down the trail. There are no artificial lights, no power, and no signal. There is room at this site for one four person tent. Please message me in advance if you would like to have more than one tent or a larger tent.

Enchanted Canyon is a  beautiful Pine and Aspen filled site with a creek meandering through and the canyon walls rising beautifully on all sides. Situated 25 minutes from downtown Boulder, 45 minutes from Rocky Mountain National Park, 10 minutes from Brainard Lake Recreation area, 20 minutes from Nederland and just generally surrounded on all sides by a plethora of amazing hikes and situations. This is the sacred land of the Arapaho. This site is for tent camping. It's big enough for plenty of stuff but the parking is in a pullout off the road and you will have to walk across a short bridge to the campsite. Two other campsites have this same entrance but the nearest other site is about 50 yards away and both sites are surrounded by trees giving them a lot of privacy. The "bathroom" is a privacy tent with a Luggable Loo inside and biogel bags. There is no signal at the site and there is no artificial light. Pictures of photo IDs for adults must be received within 24 hours of booking as well as confirmation that the rules have been read. River's Edge

River's Edge is beautifully nestled in the Canyon and is surrounded on 3 sides by water so you will be soothed to sleep by the babbling creek right outside your door. This site is better suited to experienced campers and can only accommodate a small 2 or possibly 4 person tent. This site is the furthest down of the 3 tent sites here and requires you walk with your stuff through a rocky area about 100 yards to the site so you will need to pack light for this one. There is no signal and no power.

Connect with sacred nature in this beautiful authentic 26 ft Mongolian Ger (if it were square it would be nearly 600 sq ft) on 42 gorgeous private acres surrounded by the Roosevelt National Forest with a meandering creek just outside. The space is ideally situated 20 minutes from Boulder, 20 minutes from Nederland, 45 minutes from the main entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park (even closer to other entrances) and 15 minutes from Brainard Lake Recreation Area. There are other campers on the property 1/2 mile down the creek (please do not disturb the campers there). Parking is in a pullout off the road and two small creeks are crossed to access the yurt which is about 50 yards from the parking space. There is a camp stove, large pan, dutch oven, tea pot , utensils , plates and bowls for 4 people, 3 camp chairs, a kitchen table with 3 chairs, a picnic table and a cooler. There is one full size bed and one full size futon on the floor that is propped up so it can be used for sitting and can be pulled flat to be used as a bed. Please return the futon to it's original position if you pull it flat .There is no power and there is no signal out here but there is a lantern and string lights.. The toilet is an OGO with Reliance Biogel bags (you can google these to see what they are) in a space just outside the Ger. There is a fire pit east of the Ger. There are places on the property that still need clean up from the previous owner and there is a place nearby in the National Forest where someone was illegally building so steer clear of there if it bothers you (it's not near the Ger). This is a traditional Mongolian Ger so the walls are made of wool and sometimes you can smell the wool. You can leave the door open to air it out if you would like, with the two smaller doors closed in the times of year when there are bugs. The platform needs some work due to being built by a bad contractor and the will be rebuilt in the fall. The space is a work in progress. Please DO NOT book unless you are prepared to be responsible for yourself, nature, and this traditional Mongolian Ger in the Rocky Mountains and you are ok with all of the details described here. To prevent cancellation of your booking you will need to provide a picture of your photo ID 24 hours prior to your stay

Nice site. A couple of notes for us. It was closer to the road than we anticipated. Still able to enjoy the outdoors but you do hear when cars go by on the road. Certainly didn’t disrupt any sleep or anything. This site was in the middle of two other sites and all food had to be kept in the car…so had to pass very close to other campers and they close to us anytime a trip to the car was needed. A wheelbarrow was provided to transport gear to/from site. Happy to have that as it would have been a lot more trips without it. Just not really ideal for car campers. First time using a luggable loo. Happy to have the “toilet” available but disposal of that pack after the weekend was over was a bit of a chore for us. Illegal dumping etc, etc. Absolutely no cell service so if you’re on call or monitoring a family situation you need to plan accordingly. Host was very communicative and thorough. It’s a nice place to get away overall.

Shawn was great. She was friendly, communicated, and clearly takes care of the sites. We stayed at rivers edge. It was small, quaint, and just what we wanted! Access is straight forward and it's location between Ward and Gold Hill was convenient. Well rebook in the future, for sure!

River’s edge is beautiful! The trees and stream made us feel like we were tucked away in our own little world, and there was enough space from the other sites that we couldn’t hear the other campers. Shawn was great, super responsive and answered all of our questions leading up to the trip. We loved camping here and were sad to leave. Can’t recommend it enough!

We had a decent stay. We booked it for proximity to Brainard Lake and it worked out and the creek side was nice overall, but the River's Edge campground is quite far from the car so definitely pack light if you are staying at that site. It took us 3 trips to move everything from the car using the 1 wheel barrel they provide (even though there are 3 campsites- we all had to share 1 wheel barrel). I also thought it was a small spot for the price point (it only fit 1 tent and 1 hammock for us). It's definitely buggy on a hot day too. overall 5/10 campspot- but I only stayed at Rivers Edge- the ones closer to the road may be better. I also feel like for the price point they should provide an outhouse or porter potty (though it was advertised there would be no bathroomt) but I thought it's a bit of a rip off to not have any bathroom, be far from the car and have a small spot for $35 a night.

We had a fantastic stay at this Hipcamp site. The location strikes a great balance between feeling tucked away in nature while still being incredibly easy to access from the road. The campsite sits near a lovely stream, and the surrounding aspen grove creates a peaceful, beautiful setting—especially in the morning and evening light. The fire pit was excellent and made for a perfect spot to relax after a day outdoors. Getting here from Boulder was straightforward, making it an easy weekend escape without a long drive. The host was outstanding with communication throughout the process, and the directions were clear and accurate, so finding the site was completely stress-free. Overall, a beautiful, convenient, and well-maintained campsite that we’d happily visit again.

The site was pretty, I do wish each site was more clearly labeled, we weren’t sure we were in the right site until we went back down to service and combed through the photos and matched our fire pit with the pictures lol, and fair warning there are ticks out there. One person in our group ended up with two ticks and their dog ended up with one. Be sure to use a lot of bug spray, and use it on your pets too, and check meticulously for ticks when you leave.

I had a great experience tent camping at Enchanted Canyon. The host, Shawn, was fantastic - friendly, responsive, and provided excellent directions that made the site easy to find and access. The property itself is beautiful, peaceful, and surprisingly secluded. It feels much farther away from Boulder than it actually is, making it a perfect escape without a long drive. The campsite was quiet, relaxing, and exactly what I was looking for. I'd definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a convenient but peaceful camping experience. Highly recommended!

It was fantastic. 20 minutes outside of north Boulder. So convenient and you truly feel like you are IN the woods. It was clean. The creek was so peaceful for sleeping/naps throughout the day. We will be back. P.S. I left a big Sony speaker there… and I cannot figure out how to message you directly… can you please reach out? Hopefully you found it and someone didn’t claim it! 🙏🏼

This campsite a hidden gem. The location is very convenient if you want a closer destination that doesn’t take long to get to. The campsite was beautiful, tucked away in nature, surrounded by trees and flowing water, and secluded enough. The campsite was also set up nicely, with a flat and clear tent area and a great fire pit. The directions were easy to follow and extremely helpful. The host was great with communication and instructions.

My partner and I had a wonderful time during our two night stay. The ger is magical. Lots of space inside. The indoor wood-stove was so nice to use when it got a little chilly at night. We loved how much respect Shawn has for the ger and the land. This is a really beautiful spot.

Overall it was an alright experience, not as secluded as we thought it might be. We could see and hear the other campers nearby. The Riversedge location was near the creek and surrounded by three sides, it didn’t not leave much room for walking about/setting up the tent. Parking is tight and right against a fairly busy road with lots of motorist and cyclists. It is close by the Brainard Lake if you’re looking for some hiking options that are well maintained.

Beautiful camp site. Shawn was super helpful the entire time! We found a beautiful spot up a hill from the actual camp spot to hold my wedding ceremony! The sky was gorgeous and we have plenty of room to explore and be comfortable. My only complaint is the hill leading to the bridge was pretty steep. I would 100% come back! Thank you so much for the opportunity.

This spot was a calming location. It was my first time camping solo since my friend had to work last minute. Felt super safe and had nice neighbors with plenty of space in between sites. Only thing is I wish the road wasn’t so close to the sites, as you can hear traffic.
