Welcome to our charming 2-acre meadow nestled in East Boulder. Just minutes from town - near bike trails, shops and restaurants. A great pitstop on your way to or from the mountains - or base camp for the adventures in Front Range. We aren't fancy, but we are convenient, cozy and safe. Gate code will be provided 48 hours before arrival.
We have spots in the wide open meadow for Tents, Motorhomes, Vans, Trailers, and Rooftop setups. The grounds are a bit sloped but we've got leveling boards (please leave them behind).
We've got Boulder's best eggs (help yourself up at the coop), a few walking paths through tall wild grasses, a campfire ring, solar shower, small sink, gas grill, and a lovely porta-jon that’s cleaned weekly.
We can handle RVs up to 45 feet - truck and trailer. It’s a big field, but a narrow, winding and steep gravel ramp to get in and out.
We have a community fire pit with free burn wood, though the big logs are few and far between; your own firewood is recommended - as well as an ax or saw. If it's windy, please skip the fire... the BFD is very strict about this!!
We have well water feeding a solar shower (only hot when the sun shines) and sink (non potable unless you have a filter).
Well behaved dogs under voice control are welcome off-leash. If you find your dog to be problematic, please keep them on-leash. We have a sweet, old dog who is always off-leash. The chickens free range during the day, so please mind your dog. There is a 3-figure dead or injured chicken fee.

A-Lodge Boulder is a 30 room lodge just 2 miles above downtown Boulder, Colorado. We are located in a wilderness area of Boulder Canyon, right at the junction with Fourmile Canyon. We have three #vanlife sites and four tentsites for offer on Hipcamp.
We have a BRAND NEW barrel sauna, hot tub, grills, seasonal pool (Memorial Day to Labor Day), meeting space, outdoor beer garden, bathrooms and showers for campers and a wonderful trail to Betasso Preserve right from your campsite. The Fourmile Creek runs through our property along our large lawn area. Great views and you might see bear, deer, elk, moose, foxes, or even a mountain lion!
Walk-in sites are just a short hike, about 100 feet, on an unmanicured trail to our platforms. We provide the platform for your tent as well as access to all of our lodge's amenities; front desk, lobby, bar & beer garden, fire pits, grills, bathrooms, shower, outdoor common areas, free wifi, etc.
A-Lodge has a 7-day non-refundable cancellation policy. If you cancel within 7 days of your arrival, 50% of the total is non-refundable.

We do provide free WIFI that will help send a text, make a call or check an email, but that is about it. The free WIFI works best near the camp store and some of the closer RV sites. It does not work at all at the tent sites. “Red Rocks Paradise” is unique and unlike anything else you'll find in the area. As soon as you park your car, a beautiful pathway lit with solar torches will lead you toward the guest sites. The sites are set back at the far end of our 3-acre property, next to a small creek bordering open space.
Colorado has a high-desert climate, so the landscape changes with the seasons. Expect lush green surroundings in spring and more golden and brown tones later in summer, especially during dry years. Photos on our listing represent different seasons.
Just a few steps from the guest sites, you'll find our shared bathhouse with a clean portable toilet, hot shower, hand sink, and shared refrigerator where you can keep food and refreshments cool. The bathhouse is made almost entirely from reclaimed materials, adding a unique touch to your camping or glamping experience. To minimize our environmental impact, we also use a greywater system.
We, Sabin & Randy, are artists and artisans who live and work on-site, and we're excited to share this special property with you!
Our 3-acre property is both our home and our working creative space. It is an evolving property, and you may pass working, storage, landscaping, or project areas on your way to the guest sites. These areas are separate from the camping and glamping spaces.
The guest areas are located toward the back of the property, next to the creek and open space, where we've created peaceful, comfortable spaces to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings and Hogback views.
We're continually landscaping, improving, and transforming the property into the sustainable retreat we envision. Our property isn't a traditional commercial campground. It's a creative, evolving place with its own character, surrounded by nature. If you enjoy unique, artistic places with a story behind them, we think you'll feel right at home here.
Our primary focus is your comfort and enjoyment, and we're always happy to help if you need anything during your stay.
Nearby convenience: While we don't have laundry facilities on the property, Hampden West Laundromat & Dry Cleaners is conveniently located about 10 minutes away and offers machines for your laundry needs. There's also a Boba Tea shop right next door where you can enjoy a drink while you wait.

Paul’s land is super lovely! My husband, daughter and I came to experience the alpine desert and do some stargazing and it did not disappoint. We’re also super active and my husband was able to run their one mile loop around the property. There’s a bathroom and shower + an adorable book nook with games, books, and so much more. Paul is also super knowledgeable about the area and if you’re looking for a hike or place to experience definitely take the opportunity to speak with him. Would love to stay again!

Online presentation through HipCamp doesn't give an accurate feeling of what it's really like there. Hipcamp really underestimates how cool it actually is. It's a total college kid attraction and clientele (it SEEMS) but it's still cooler than the online presentation made it feel. It feels like a magical Ewok village for adults combined with a 1960s/70s summer camp, and the main lodge itself is a really well designed, modern-cozy-lodgy, kind of romantic feeling. We had NO idea based on the hip camp photos that it was more than a basic main house to go pee in, with some lodging SOMEwhere on the property, and some kind of dismal dislocated tent sites. It is however too expensive for the tent sites though. Considering there's no maintenance required for clean up. Their pricing should be more like $28 a night, not 40-50. We felt even Hipcamp's price was too high for the tent sites for what they are.

I would stay here again and again. It was very chill and welcoming and very clean - the campsites, the bathrooms, etc. I loved that they have a little store there and that they trusted that people would pay. It was awesome to have showers, have laundry there on site if needed, wifi by the office so I could send a quick text. I loved being right by the water in site 12. I can't wait to come back.

This place was amazing! We were in tent spot 9, right on the creek. Be prepared for loud water white noise and sometimes road noise (honestly barely noticed the road). The bathrooms are a short walk away. Check-in after hours was super easy and they were extremely responsive. There's a nice playground and dog park for pets and kiddos.
