Wake up to the fresh aroma of hops, enjoys beers made with the hops grown next to your sleeping bag, have a campfire with an incredible view of the San Juan Mountains and open night sky, take a tour and learn about the unique world of hops, walk around an 18-foot tall, 32-acre hop trellis, and adventure in all that the Western Slope of Colorado has to offer.
This is a perfect basecamp for adventure! The attractions are endless: Exploring Black Canyon NP, Curecanti NRA, and Gunnison Gorge NCA; fly fishing in gold metal waters; hunting; hiking, climbing, and traversing the Via Ferrata in the San Juan Mountains; rafting, kayaking, or SUPing on three different rivers, including a wave park right in town, as well as on reservoirs and lakes; relaxing in mineral-rich hot springs; shopping for unique souvenirs and gifts; and enjoying the activities, restaurants, and shopping of nearby Ouray and Telluride!Camp spots are nestled among hop lines along the trellis perimeter with incredible views of the San Juan Mountains. Each spot has a 28ft x 15ft parking area and an adjacent 28ft x 15ft area to set up your camp. This ample space also allows for privacy with other guests. ADA hot showers, flush toilets, and potable water are a short walk away, but there are no hooks up at the sites. There is a communal fire pit. You do need to supply your own wood.
There is also a 'beer barn' that sells local beer made with hops from the farm, along with NA options and merchandise. You can connect with the host to set up an hour long farm tour, learning all about how hops are grown, harvested, and processed, about the hop trellis an irrigation system, and marketing hops within the brewing industry. You can even add beer samples to the tour! You do need to book the tour a week in advance to guarantee a day and time. Check out our website for pricing and more info.
Please note that this is a working commercial farm. You may see employees working in the field, tractors passing by at any hour, or a host of other actives. We ask that you do not interrupt any of these people or get in the way of any equipment. If you have questions about the farm, please sign up for a tour.
We do have two friendly farm dogs who will most likely welcome you upon arrival! The black and white one is Grits, and the brindle one is Faya.
If we are booked out, please message to learn about more camping options at the farm!
