We moved here in 1997 The home has had major remodels done on it. The lake is an old gravel pit to make road base for local road construction. The buoys in the lake are scuba projects from the local college CMU, and hold lots of fish. Other nesting platforms are for our local Geese and they hatch out in April-June. We airbnb 2 rooms in our home as a shared facility and have airbnbs in Northern Ca and Baja. Our home is off limits for campers as we need to respect the space for our other airbnb guests. But in an emergence please call, cell service works fine. port-a potty is gone for the winter November-March. port-a potty is gone for the winter November-March.

Site 3 TENT, most private site, WOW
I loved car camping on Mike’s land! The site was private, the views were great, and I loved the nearby town of Palisade. Highly recommend!

Site 4 RV-Tents, great sunset veiws
I loved the small number of sites and the VIEWS! I woke up to the sun rising over the Grand Mesa and watched the sun set west of the Colorado National Monument. It was a perfect location for me as I was in town with my new little camper for parent's weekend at CMU. It may well be my new home away from home!

Last minute beauty!
We found this place last minute while on a road trip through Colorado. We were pleasantly surprised by this campsite. The views were amazing and the e porta potty was clean!! It’s close enough to ride bikes into town to the brewery and distillery ! We are already planning our trip back in the spring.

Rude hosts!
We arrived to the property and found no other campers around. Having booked site 1, we followed the directions in the listing and parked and set up camp at the first site. After awhile, the host drove by and was extremely rude. She treated us as if we didn’t belong there. She rudely told us we were in the wrong spot and instead of realizing there were no other campers that night and letting us stay, made us move one site over (30 feet apart). The sites were very poorly labeled and not visible unless you went within a foot of the picnic table at each site. Our encounter with her soured the entire stay. She seemed absolutely miserable about the fact she had to host hip campers. We paid for 3 bundles of firewood at our site so we wouldn’t need to chop wood. There were no bundles of wood available and when we inquired about them they blew us off. There were only massive logs with a small plastic hatchet that couldn’t split them. I would not recommend this place because the hosts do not have hospitality skills or care about their hip campers!
