We moved here in 1997 The home has had major remodels done on it. The lake is an old gravel pit to make road base for local road construction. The buoys in the lake are scuba projects from the local college CMU, and hold lots of fish. Other nesting platforms are for our local Geese and they hatch out in April-June. We airbnb 2 rooms in our home as a shared facility and have airbnbs in Northern Ca and Baja. Our home is off limits for campers as we need to respect the space for our other airbnb guests. But in an emergence please call, cell service works fine. port-a potty is gone for the winter November-April. port-a potty is clean and works great, May- Oct. If you are here in the winter you may use the trees or Mavericks gas station in 1.5 miles away. The first two pets are included at no additional cost. For any additional pets beyond the first two, there is a fee of $10 per pet, per night. Please make sure to add the Pet fee extra accordingly.

Tent site #3, is medium size and has the best tent camping privacy. It has some shade, and good views. there are stairs that sites #T1-2-3 all use for the dock and boats Great tree swing. Perfect for a car and tents or a Van. Use the water toys at the beach or docks. Avoid the toys at the private home Please be safe in the water and with Fire. All kids get to use their life jackets in or around the water. This is not a trailer sit as backing into it is tight. The noise needs to stop at 9 pm Please pick up your dog poo:)

Tent site #1, is small and has the first good shade trees Its perfect for a car and tent or a Van It shares a big campfire ring with tent site #2, There are stairs that sites #1-2-3 all use for a dock with boats- please share and always return and snap boats onto the docks. All kids and non-swimmers must wear PFDs There is a Great tree swing there for everyone Use the water toys at the beach or docks. Avoid the private home and their toys. Limit your noise after 9 pm Please be fire and water-safe, kids need to wear their life jackets in or around the water.

Use boats around the lake and avoid boats and toys around the private house.

We got moved to RV spot #1 from our original spot a few days before our stay which wasn't an issue. The lake was beautiful and clean, and we were well stocked on wood. We didnt have any neighbors so it was nice and quiet with little sound from distant traffic.

Beautiful view of the lake. Mike was attentive and responsive as well. There was some good birding in the morning, too! There is some road noise at the lake but not too loud.

Overall a nice spot. Be advised that in the fall people may be duck hunting on the pond 50 yards south of the rv sites. Waking up to shotgun blasts at 7am was not what I expected when booking this site. It really put a damper on the stay.

Sweet spot by the lake to camp for the night! We had a lovely campfire and appreciated the full set up ready to roll as we got in late and were tired from the drive!! It was a wonderful way to unwind and enjoy the night before getting a good sleep for our drive the next day. The next morning we had the place almost entirely to ourselves, and my dog especially loved exploring!

This spot is amazing! The lake is gorgeous and peaceful. The CO river is a very nearby as is the town of Palisade. only a few campsites and spread out well so you have plenty of space and quiet. Mike is extremely helpful if ou want him to be. We will definitely be back.

I have camped most of my 53 years on this planet. Some of the most inhospitable places you can think of. From deserts to mountains forested hills. In all my years I have NEVER dealt with the amount of ants as I tried to here. Ants are a part of the environment that one must contend with when spendingtime outdoors, but this was beyond what one should expect. I set up in my designated spot and immediately my tent was covered. Wherever I went, as soon as I stopped walking, I immediately had ants crawling up my legs. I couldn't stay and as I was packing, I had to continually move around and stomp my feet to try and keep them off of me. If you're visiting in a camper or camping in the winter, this might work for you. For me though, the ants were just to much so I packed up and moved on.

Spacious quiet site by a pretty pond. Very nice host. Unfortunately I left in the middle of the night as I had overlooked the fact there was no electric at the site and could not sleep without CPAP and AC.

Great spot and easy to find! Just a warning that there are a lot of ants (which of course is beyond the hosts’s control) so be ready to be on bug patrol a bit! Otherwise, absolute perfection.

Such a nice stay on this land. There were no other campers, so it was amazing to have the place to myself. It's a small area for the tent campers so I would have felt really close to people. Really clean porta-potty and lovely spots to sit and hangout around. A beautiful lake with lovely frogs and turtles! Buggy around sunset but not too bad besides that. I really enjoyed my time, very peaceful, simple. Life on a lake is a dream! Thank you Mike!

This spot was perfect! Right on a small lake with lots of watercraft available to use. We loved spending the whole day in the water! Mike the host was awesome and very accommodating. We'll definitely be back.

It was great!! We needed a last minute place to stay in the GJ area, and this place was perfect. There were swings, kayaks, tables, fire pits, and plenty of space to set up a couple of tents. 10/10 would return again!

Lovely private lake, Mike was super nice and very responsive. Shared his delicious peaches. The lake was refreshing and we had the place to ourselves. It was HOT. And smokey. Regardless, we were able to unwind and cool down.

What a beautiful and peaceful spot. Bull frogs welcomed us, and we fell asleep to the occasional plop of a diving Kermit. Spots felt private, but we had the place to ourselves. All the sites were stocked and very well cared for. Would love to come enjoy the pond for a longer stay.

Mike was quick to respond with directions and details about the site. Views were amazing especially the sunsets! Enjoyed using the kayaks provided on the lake. Site #RV-4 was nice with tall reeds on the lake edge for privacy, and they even had firewood at the site to use. Location was close to town, and we felt secure being on private property. Would definitely recommend and stay again!!
