This is the 2nd time at this Hipcamp spot. It is very quiet and no traffic. It is full sun but because of the orientation of the parking spot, I was able to get part shade in the morning and evening. They have recently planted a couple of trees for future shade. It is on the edge of BLM public land and great for dog walking.

It was a lovely location. The kids had lots of room to play soccer and there was plenty of room for the trailer. We had a peaceful night there. I would go again if I was ever in the area.

The property was serene, very private and beautiful views. Pics portray it well. Their house is at end of street and next to High line canal, a good place to bring your pups. Lovely rural neighborhood so close to downtown. They even allowed us to stay a little later so we could get in a ride at the lunch loops prior to checking out.

A Quiet Little Space with a View

A quiet little place all to ourselves. It is in the open, so it can get very windy, but the views are fantastic! I recommend this place if you are not into the crowded campsites. Thank you Kelly & Chris!

This is a great, quiet, private spot. It’s about a 30 minute bike ride to downtown, mostly on roads with a bike lane. I would definitely stay here again.

Pretty darn close to perfection!

Clean gravel spot. Fairly flat. Nice little patio with picnic table. Killer views. Super quiet other than the birds are letting you know that spring is here!! Directions were perfect if you pay attention. I passed it cuz I was being a looky loo. lol. This was way superior to being at a regular campground. Would definitely stay there again.

Great Colorado hosts

Had a great peaceful and quiet three day stay at Kelly & Chris ranch. The dogs loved the long walks on the trail.
They’re site easily accommodate our 40 ft Class A motorhome. If your visiting Grand Junction and Palisade Colorado this is a great place to stay.

Absolutely loved this little gem! Very accessible to town and private. They have created a nice patio space/picnic table with views of Mt. Garfield. I highly recommend for anyone who needs to hook up to electric but does not want to stay in one of the crowded RV parks. Will be staying here again!

We very much enjoyed our time on Kelly and Chris’ property. A large plot backing to BLM property was until recently part of a huge ranch with remnants that testify to an era past. The ban on fires other than propane was not a problem as the beautiful county park with grills was only 6 miles away. We had privacy, electricity and water. Help was immediately available when our electric adapter was a bit stiff. Although my first glance at the map had me worried due to proximity to airport, we had no noise at all. The neighborhood is quickly transitioning to executive estates and feels safe but the property continues to yield historic artifacts to make morning walks interesting. Highly recommend to road warriors. Some might find the absence of trees and green near the parking pad sad but the evening view has no obstacles. The hosts were wonderful and welcoming and absent except for when we texted.

This site appears to be a fairly new site as of 9/2023 and still being worked on. It is easy to get into, set up, and out of. As the spot is further developed I'm sure it will only get nicer.
Kelly and Chris were accommodating hosts and a pleasure to talk to.

We really enjoyed staying at the Mt Garfield site! The views were gorgeous!
Our 28' trailer and truck fit great, the pad site is really nice, level and easy pull-through spot. 30AMP electrical means we could use the AC on the trailer and the location is close to town but feels like you are away from it all. We walked the dogs along the canal road and they had a blast too.
