Welcome to our property! This is a very scenic property, that is rich with history. The Virginia Dale Stage Station is about three miles away and the overland trail has several branches going through here. We are also a fifth generation cattle ranch. We are in Wyoming, on Highway 287 between Fort Collins, CO. and Laramie, Wyoming. We are still building out our property with a General store, and Western Themed Town coming soon. We have campsites for RV’s or Tents. We have an amazing 1000 acres to have your own hiking, wildlife, birdwatching, adventure. We have great hiking and wildlife viewing, marmots, pronghorn, antelope, deer, elk, and an occasional moose. Birds of every feather gather here so bring your binoculars. Hikes include balancing boulders and rock formations. Wonderful stargazing, our stars are so bright it seems like you can reach up and touch them. We are a working ranch and do have livestock. Don’t mess with the bull!Firewood, for $7.00 per bag delivered to your campsite. The bags make a great trash bag when empty! Do not bring your own firewood, as we don’t want more pine beetles and noxious weeds. Due to the high volume of people coming in separate vehicles, after two vehicles per site, its $10.00 per vehicle extra per night. We have portable outhouses available.

We are making this campground more for families and family reunions, or friends that want to be together yet have your own space. It’s high with trees and rocks, beautiful views and amazing starry nights. Camp sites 1 2 3 4 are fairly close together for a family or to circle the wagons. Very nice close hike to a creek. Camp site's 5 and 6 are secluded. They would be best for someone who is self contained, as they don’t have an outhouse nearby. Sites 7 8 9 have some seclusion. Site's 10 11 12 13 14 15 are perfect for families, where you can all be together but separate. We are a work in progress but we will try to accommodate anything you may need. Please talk to us! We have firewood $7.00 per bag delivered to your campsite. Do not bring your own firewood. We don’t want more pine beetles and noxious weeds. More than 2 vehicles per site $10.00 per vehicle per night. A vehicle pulling a trailer counts as 1. A motor home pulling a car or trailer counts as 1. We look forward to hosting you!

Welcome to Serenity in the Foothills. Located an hour west of Denver, this 3600 acre ranch features 12 spaced out campsites that offer quite a bit of privacy. There are tons of trails/ roads to hike and bike around on, as well as many amazing views. Resort Valley Ranch was combined from around 15 homesteads by the Corbin family. You will see lots of relics and evidence related to those homesteads across our property! Please do not disturb any artifacts or relics on our property, we are very conservation minded with the history as well as the natural beauty of the area. Come enjoy this hidden private jewel in the pines of Jefferson County, Colorado!

Rustic Creek Ranch

The 160 acre ranch was homesteaded by my grandfather about 100 years ago. He was an engineer.
The plan was to use this property as summer grazing for his cattle. The cows were wintered at the other ranch about 10 miles away, which was homesteaded by my great grandfather.
Because my grandfather could survey, he made sure the property lines zigzaged up the valley so the small creek was in the middle to provide water for the animals. He chose well. It is a beautiful, quiet place with elk, deer and wild turkeys. There are tons of wild flowers in the summer.
Columbines, the Colorado state flower, wild roses, paintbrushes and lots of wild chokecherries. With nice views of nearby mountains, open pastures, evergreen forests and aspen groves, it looks like it did 100 years ago. Plus, there are a couple of ponds for your dogs to cool off in. Since the first cattle, the ranch has also been home to goats, chickens, horses, and now alpacas and llamas. And of course the Great Pyrenees ranch dogs.
I had a house built a few years ago and live on the property full time. The ranch is surrounded by Pike National Forest with the Colorado Trail connecting the property in a number of places. Some of the highest ranked mountain bike trails are nearby. There are lots of places on and off the property to hike, mountain bike and ride your horse. Little Scraggy Camp

The Little Scraggy Camp is located on 95 acres of an historic 160-acre ranch that was homesteaded by our family in the 1890’s, and is on the National Register of Historic Places. This totally off-grid ranch is surrounded by Pike National Forest, yet has easy access from a paved road. We offer several accommodations and glamping sites, as well as sites for moderate sized RVs, travel trailers, tents, and hammocks. Additionally, we have sites for small groups (up to 14 people) and large groups (35-200 people).
Potable drinking water is available from onsite 270-gallon water tanks. Portable toilets are only a short walk away from sites.
Friendly dogs are welcome to enjoy your campsite off leash, but please clean up after your dog. If your pet has any aggressive tendencies, it must be leashed.
Recently added is a 4 hole disc golf putting course for you to practice your shots or try your hand, with 4 sets of discs provided. We also have a cornhole toss game at both the glamping/rv camp area and tent/rv area.
We are an ideal basecamp for the casual or dedicated trail enthusiast. The ranch itself has several trails and easy trail loops to explore within and just outside of the ranch’s fence lines, with direct access to the 9.5-mile Little Scraggy Trail and Segment #3 of the Colorado Trail. Just 3.5 miles away is the Little Scraggy Trailhead, where you will find easy access for biking, hiking, or horseback riding on the many other trails of the Buffalo Creek area. Additionally, we have an extensive network of hiking and horse trails that avoid conflicts with mountain bikers.
You might prefer rock climbing Little Scraggy or fishing the gold-medal waters of the South Platte River canyon below Cheesman Dam and the waters near Deckers. For a day trip, Wellington Lake is only 30 minutes away for no-wake water sports. Many people enjoy kayaking on the North Fork of the South Platte downstream from nearby Buffalo Creek.
This is a working ranch where we raise and train horses and ponies. Our particular interest is in carriage driving, and we offer driving experiences upon request.
Our site called Mountain Horse Camp, provides 3 individual porta-panel horse corrals.

With Denver, Estes Park, and Boulder all within 45 miles, Loveland is a basecamp for your northern Colorado adventures in and near the Rocky Mountains. Spend time in Loveland to explore the sculpture parks, biking trails, and local lakes. If your stay includes a camping trip, you’ll find full-hookup RV parks, as well as rustic campgrounds. Boyd Lake State Park is close to town, offering basic RV and tent sites along the shores of a 1700-acre lake. A number of Larimer County park campgrounds are found along Carter Lake, a jeweled reservoir surrounded by rolling foothills, or the smaller Flatiron Reservoir.

Highway 34 runs through the Big Thompson River Canyon between Loveland and Estes Park, providing epic views of the rollicking river as the foothills turn into snowy peaks at one of the eastern entrances to Rocky Mountain National Park. If you don’t need hookups, the campgrounds in Rocky Mountain National Park boast scenic panoramas and easy access to alpine adventures.
Fort Collins
Loveland’s big brother to the north, Fort Collins, is another adventurous northern Colorado basecamp packed with local brewpubs and restaurants. Enjoy a literal taste of the Rockies after time hiking, biking, fishing, and exploring the natural landscapes. After cutting a scenic canyon through Roosevelt National Forest, the Cache la Poudre River tumbles through Fort Collins, providing a focal point for scenic drives and outdoor adventures along Colorado’s only designated “Wild & Scenic River.” Venture over to Horsetooth Reservoir to find county park campgrounds.
Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests and Pawnee National Grasslands
The Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests covers 1.5 million acres of scenic landscapes in north central Colorado. Over 50 public camping areas can be found, with some at elevations topping 10,000 feet. Some are more suitable for tent camping, while others welcome motorhomes and RVs. Check each campground’s site to see if amenities like electricity, running water, and dump stations are available, as some have limited services, while offering rustic camping in a pristine environment.
When to Go
The weather varies greatly by season and by elevation across the greater Loveland region. Summer brings comfortable temperatures for hiking, paddling, and biking—you may even be warm enough to hit a swim beach. Don’t head out without grabbing some extra layers, however, as temperatures may become brisk after dark, especially in the mountains. Winter often brings an abundance of snow, providing a fresh landscape for skiing, snowboarding, and sledding. Freezing temperatures and dodgy road conditions may make it less-than-ideal for camping, but many an intrepid camper has found sublime serenity in the off season.
