Beautiful sunrises greet you in the morning, and breathtaking sunsets over the Front Range say goodnight at the end of the day.
We are located on 35 acres just east of Denver International Airport. The views of the airport, along with airplanes flying in and out, provide an interesting contrast against the mountain backdrop.
The property is farmland, although we practice no-till farming and do our best to minimize our impact on local wildlife. A diverse population of birds calls the property home, with burrowing owls being our favorite. You may also spot the occasional antelope or deer.
At night, you'll hear the coyote packs that live in the area. While we've never had any incidents, we still recommend keeping pets indoors at night.
Meanwhile, enjoy the stars, as there is very little light pollution and the sky is clear most nights. Mornings and evenings are the most beautiful, but it can get quite hot during the middle of the day since there is no shade at the campsites. Shade tents and umbrellas are recommended, weather and wind permitting.
We are located on the eastern plains, where the wind can sometimes become a nuisance. Although windstorms usually don't last more than a few hours, there is often a steady breeze throughout much of the day.

Your glamping site “Hug a Bear” is romantically lit at night time and artistically decorated. The tent is waterproof and covered by a carport. The artwork (by Sabin, your host) covering the tent was exhibited at the McNichols Civic Center Building Downtown Denver a few years ago. Now it is enveloping your restful night under the starry sky of Colorado. The space offers you a coffee maker, a water kettle, water dispenser, BBQ and electricity. You will enjoy the delightful back side view of the famous Hogback mountain.
Just a few steps away from your campsite you will find our bath house with a clean portable toilet, hot shower and hand sink. You also will find a fridge inside, where you can keep your refreshments and your food fresh and cool. It is entirely made from reclaimed materials and it adds glamor and luxury to your glamping experience! To minimize our environmental impact, we use a greywater system. The liquid soap provided is a diluted, biodegradable formula that nourishes our garden as it drains. While it may feel lighter than conventional soap, rest assured it's gentle on both your skin and the environment.
We do our best to provide many of the comforts of a home for your "glamping" experience but make sure you are prepared to stay in the great outdoors which includes bugs and it is still camping. If you are afraid of bugs or occasional spiders this might not be for you. We cannot control the changes that both weather and the surrounding environment may cause. Although we provided an extra blanket and the tent has mosquito nets, we encourage bringing bug spray, warm clothes, flash lights, extra drinking water and other items you might need to make your stay pleasant. Please be aware of the weather and plan to dress accordingly. The bed is equipped with a heated mattress bed.
Conveniently located just 10 minutes away, Hampden West Laundromat & Dry Cleaners offers brand new machines for all your laundry needs. As a bonus, you can enjoy a delicious tea from the excellent Boba Tea Shop right next door while you wait.

Welcome to our charming 2-acre meadow nestled in East Boulder. Just minutes from town - near bike trails, shops and restaurants. A great pitstop on your way to or from the mountains - or base camp for the adventures in Front Range. We aren't fancy, but we are convenient, cozy and safe. Gate code will be provided 48 hours before arrival.
We have spots in the wide open meadow for Tents, Motorhomes, Vans, Trailers, and Rooftop setups. The grounds are a bit sloped but we've got leveling boards (please leave them behind).
We've got Boulder's best eggs, a few walking paths through tall wild grasses, a campfire ring, solar shower, small sink, gas grill, and a lovely porta-jon that’s cleaned weekly.
We can handle RVs up to 45 feet - truck and trailer. It’s a big field, but a narrow, winding and steep gravel ramp to get in and out.
We have a community fire pit with free burn wood, though the big logs are few and far between; your own firewood is recommended - as well as an ax or saw. If it's windy, please skip the fire... the BFD is very strict about this!!
We have well water feeding a solar shower (only hot when the sun shines) and sink (non potable unless you have a filter).
We have a wading / dog pool continually refreshed from the creek. It’s a saving grace in the summertime. 8/9/26- creek is currently dried up.
Please help yourself to eggs up at the coop - look for the Venmo QR. The chickens free range during the day, so please MIND YOUR DOG.

I loved how secluded we felt and the privacy we had, and the site was absolutely fantastic. A good amounts of flat areas for tents, space for hammocks, and lots of area to hang out and make meals. We had a wonderful stay at this campsite! The privacy was unbeatable — we were at the end of the road, and no one came past us the entire time. Walking in, we didn't see another soul further down the path, which made it feel like we had the place to ourselves.
Shade was reasonable throughout our visit, and we were treated to frequent hummingbird visits, which was a delightful surprise. Our kids loved that a disc golf course was just steps away — we only got through a couple of holes, but it was such a treat to be this secluded and still have something fun so close by.
For anyone considering a future stay, site 8 looked extremely level — we're planning to try it next time!
Overall, a peaceful, private spot with just the right mix of seclusion and nearby fun. Highly recommend.

The hosts, the camp site, the backstory and the homey feel of this property has been the standout of my camping trip. Very blessed to have met these folks. The campsite is next to a pasture where horses and cattle roam and graze, a large shaded commons area for gathering or cooking kept things comfortable even in the summer heat. Absolutely beautiful land surrounding you with a view overlooking the flatirons and 14ers rising westward. Would definitely stay here again and support these hardworking farmers. Thanks Bonnie :)

I took my van there last minute Saturday night, and showed up around 3. The Nate me at front and showed me to my spot and we chatted a bit and he followed me on Instagram so I that was super cool. Since I do a van life vlog. Very gracious and nice. The spot was great. There are giant houses in the distance but they are far enough away that it still feels private. And the second site was far down too. It's basic right now, no electric or toilet but there is water. Nate says they are working on those upgrades soon so I can't wait to see how it progresses. I like that the site is close ish to town, and it's like 15 minutes from my actual house. The price is great too for what it is. I can't wait to see how they fix it up! Maybe a bit more privacy from the surrounding houses would be cool. Some bushes or trees or partition of some sort but don't trust my opinion. I will be back.

This was my first time car camping, and this was a great place to try it out. I felt very safe and enjoyed a beautiful, private, quiet spot. Great drive in - very scenic and even saw 2 moose. Jeff was friendly and helpful.

Where to go
Rocky Mountain National Park
With some of the most majestic mountain scenery, it’s no wonder National Geographic named Rocky Mountain National Park as one of its best trips in the world in 2014. Hipcampers can’t ask for a more picturesque setting for tent camping and RV sites, including full hookups. View wildlife around its 147 lakes and 355 miles of hiking trails, spotting elk, moose, and bighorn sheep along the way. Clear mountain skies, away from city lights, are exceptional for stargazing.
Cherry Creek State Park
A short drive outside of town, Cherry Creek State Park is minutes off the interstate but worlds away from the everyday. The close location makes it easily accessible for day-trippers and overnighters alike. Enjoy the convenience of hot showers and laundry facilities at Cherry Creek Campground, which features both RV park and walk-in tent camping options. There’s even wifi for posting adventures online. Rent a jet ski to race around Cherry Creek reservoir, or do some swimming, fishing, and cycling.
Chatfield State Park
Water activities are the name of the game at Chatfield State Park with boating, kayaking, canoeing, and paddleboarding around the expansive Chatfield Reservoir. Bring out the bait and tackle to catch trout and bass for supper. For Hipcampers who prefer land, bird-watch along Plum Creek, and explore the 26 miles of hiking and biking trails. There are even opportunities to fly a model airplane in these foothills southwest of Denver. All four campgrounds have picnic tables and are walking distance to the lake.
When to go
Summer camping near Denver is best for campers looking to avoid the cold and get in the best fishing. It also happens to be the busiest season, especially with families. Plus, there are occasional surprise thunderstorms thanks to a phenomenon called the “Denver Cyclone.” For a more tranquil camping experience, visit during the shoulder seasons. Spring is great for wildflower viewing, and the fall foliage in Colorado is breathtaking. The gold, orange, and red aspen leaves make for a stunning backdrop in a print-worthy photo souvenir.
