Learn more about this land: This site is on an 1889 Homestead property located West of Denver and East of Golden. The camping space is a 1/3 acre field adjacent to a barn and barn-yard with goats and chickens who love to interact with people. It is 15 minutes from Red Rocks park / amphitheater and walking/biking distance to two scenic lakes/parks (Sloans lake and Crown Hill). There are multiple neighborhood restaurants, bars and a beer garden also in walking and biking distance in the communities of Edgewater, Wheat Ridge, Lakewood and Denver. You can also walk across the street to a bus stop which will take you to East to downtown Denver, West to Golden, connects with the Light rail, airport and points in between.  Popular Sloans Lake park is 12 blocks away and quieter Crown Hill Lake/Park is about 20 blocks away. We have free WiFi, basic 15 amp electric service (no a/c or space heaters) and unlimited free fresh water on a fill-your-tank basis. Backing in is necessary for travel-trailer rigs. Max 20-foot trailer length. You will have to navigate a 90 degree back-in off the street through a 12 foot wide gate. Vans and self contained Class B or C rigs can head-in or back-in.

Paul was there to help us get set up. The location is easy access to downtown and the mountains, and biking trails. Paul was very helpful throughout our stay. And Jed, the goat, gets five stars!

This spot is a hidden homestead gem in the heart of the Denver-metro area. Paul is a wonderful host whose friendly and quick responses make you right at home. The goat (Jeb) is a top notch neighbor and loves when you share snacks. We would definitely visit again 😊

Comfortable, easy access for car camping, and a great location for proximity to downtown! A little noisy during the day, but it is too be expected in a neighborhood setting. Paul had good communication, though we never crossed paths during my stay - he was available via text when I needed him. Definitely recommend this spot for exploring the city.

Paul was super friendly and very helpful. His spot is absolutely beautiful and in the perfect area for what we needed. We also really enjoyed Jeb the friendly goat, he made our stay extra special! We will definitely be staying here again! Location is amazing!!

Paul’s place was perfect for our needs! We wanted to find a place in Denver so we could explore the area and be close to our daughter. It was exactly as advertised. We have a 19 foot trailer and were able to back in since the street you back in on is not real busy, but it is a tight turn for our trailer length.The goats were an added edition, but no goat yoga for me!

My travel plans were derailed, and the hosts were happy to accommodate my changing needs. Good communication, quiet, private spot that is super easy to access from downtown. I returned at night to camp here after spending my days at a conference downtown. It was also fun to wake up to the sun, munching goats, and friendly, cooing chickens! I would definitely stay here again, and I sincerely hope to. Highly recommended for those seeking a quiet place to return after a day in Denver, or as a gateway to day trips out in the mountains.

I’m so glad that I chose Paul’s hipcamp for my stay in Denver. The site is so convenient to get to everywhere I wanted to go, and it was a blast to return to a calm camp with goats and chickens when I was done!

I had a great stay here. Paul and his wife were very kind and greeted me upon arrival. I was able to back my 24ft motorhome in without issue. The apartments across the street have a row of parking spaces across from the gate, so it was helpful to be able use an empty spot to maneuver. There's plenty of delicious food within walking distance. Rise and Shine had some delicious biscuits. The Edgewater Beer Garden is very cute and also had a good menu. I biked to Tennyson Street which has restaurants and a bunch of cute boutiques. Target is very close as well. I went to a concert at the Fillmore in Denver which was only about a 20-25 minute Uber. It definitely gets hot this time of year but being able to park mostly in the shade was helpful. I would definitely stay again!

We really enjoyed our stay here. Jeb and Sarah, the goats were so fun to be around, and the fact that we were in a fenced yard with no dogs was an extra bonus. Our cats felt safe to be outside on their leashes, and their anxious Mom felt good about it too. Also, Paul's a great host. He even gave us some veggies from his CoOp haul the week we were there. The one thing to note is that this spot IS in an urban area. I wasn't paying close attention when I registered. On the positive - there's so much good food in the area, and if you need a laundrymat or any other services, it's all easy to find, and there's lots in walking distance. The apartment complex across the street is really the only downside to this spot. To be fair, we were there on 4th of July weekend. It may have been a little rowdier than usual.

Stayed with my trailer. A little difficult to pull in but easy to pull out. Neighbors have kids who are noisy during the day but it's so quiet at night and super convenient. But the goat kid neighbors are quiet and very friendly. Paul was a great host.
