We have some amazing hiking trails and Arapahoe National Forest in our backyard! Maxwell National Trailhead is 9 mins from the property with free parking and free entrance. Cub Creek Trail Head is also around the corner.
Evergreen Lake- 15 min car ride. Fishing, kayaking, picnic.
Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre- 30 min car ride. Summer concerts, and movie nights at the park.
Our property is at 10,000 feet in the foothills of the Rockies. The last mile is unpaved and has some steep inclines.
We receive quite a lot of snow (Oct-May). We require that guests use AWD/4WD vehicles and winter tires to safely access our dome during snow months. Please check weather conditions and follow Colorado traction laws.

The Tiny House:
The tiny house is a luxurious stay for hipcampers. It boasts a loft with queen size bed, and secondary loft with an additional mattress upon request. There is a full kitchen with fridge, gas stove/oven and sink. Enjoy a bath in the soaking tub or a quick shower in the bathroom, which also has a composting toilet (don't worry, it doesn't smell!) and sink. Relax on the couch or outside in your private sitting area that looks into the national forest. Electricity, wi-fi, and heat included. The tiny house can sleep 4, although may be better suited to 2 if you don't want to be rubbing elbows.
The Property:
The tiny house is parked nearby the main house on the property where we live. We are at the dead end of the road, and the property abuts National Forest with trails for miles and incredible views of nearby peaks. We have two dogs who you may hear occasionally, but who live in their own fenced yard attached to the main house. Though we live on the property, the tiny house is your own private space and we'll respect your privacy during your stay. Neighboring houses are visible from the property in one direction. The other direction all that can be seen is trees, mountains and sky. There is space to pitch a tent next to the tiny house for additional hipcampers.
Please note, we sit at about 8600' elevation which means in the summer you can enjoy a good 10-15 degree temperature drop from the flatlands. Ahhh.
In the winter, it will also typically be colder and snowier.
Be prepared for the altitude and be sure to hydrate (and consider drinking less alcohol than you normally tolerate) so you can remain healthy and enjoy your stay.

You’ll also meet our friendly resident goats 🐐 and dogs 🐕, who are part of daily life at camp. Wildlife sightings are common, including moose, bears, and elk.
Firewood is provided at no extra cost, and a communal BBQ area, with picnic tables are available.

Camp ACA is also a unique venue for small group events of up to 25 people, including family reunions, intimate weddings, retreats, workshops, offering a private, scenic setting surrounded by nature.
Our driveway is the gateway to Yankee Hill, the largest Off-Highway Vehicle (OHV) area in the Front Range, with endless opportunities for hiking, exploring, and responsible off-road recreation.

Enjoy a stay in “Marian’s Fishing Hut” located just outside the town of Bailey, Colorado in the beautiful Rocky Mountains. Just steps away from our micro cabin you can access infinite miles of hiking trails in the Colorado National Forest! Currently the fishing hut has potable water, electricity, TV, DVD player, remote controlled ceiling fan, mini refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, hot plate, basic kitchen essentials. The bed is a trundle that transforms into a cozy king with bedding to get a good nights sleep. For heating and cooling there is a light/fan in the center of the hut and we provide a space heater for when the nights get cold. Just a few steps outside of the hut is a beautiful (one of a kind) outhouse with lights, power outlets, and a heat lamp if need be. A little ways down from the hut you will find a table with antique wagon wheels and seating for enjoying a meal or just taking in the views .
The property is .57 acres in an L shape. It has many trees consisting of spruce, ponderosa, and aspens. The plot sits right at 9000 feet above sea level. There are great Mountain View’s and lots of Quiet. There is unlimited national forest access just a 2 min walk from the property, 3 private fishing ponds, and a very large and versatile shooting range nearby.

On the edge of Echo Valley Ranch, this area was named for a local opera singer whose voice could reportedly be heard throughout the valley and was described as magical. It’s also surprisingly quiet, with the breath of the forest and the quaking of the aspens often the only sounds—unless the elk are nearby.
We are surrounded on three sides by National Forest land. There is plenty of climbing nearby, hundreds of miles of hiking and biking trails, including Miller Gulch, and Lake Wellington is just a few miles away. We have a 14 shot disc golf course on the property.
While we are remote, we’re only 15 minutes from restaurants and stores in Bailey. Cell reception is limited in the area, so come prepared to unplug. If needed, cell service is available about half a mile away.

Ray's casita is remotely located in a beautiful setting of pine trees. The casita is new and is beautifully crafted with highlights of natural wood. It has a bathroom, shower, kitchen cabinets, refrigerator, microwave and hot plate.

I just had a great stay at Camp Echo! What a lovely peaceful spot in the woods. We had some elk bugling in the meadow next door last night. The owner, who goes by Ray, is so knowledgeable about the area and provided lots of ideas of activities, hikes, etc. I highly recommend this sweet little tiny house in the woods!

I had such an enjoyable experience here, I absolutely loved the space and Robert was an absolutely amazing host!!! Any single women who have hesitancies about being alone, you will be safe here!! This was an added bonus that made all the difference for me. Robert also has a wealth of knowledge/experience on the area and was such an asset in that area. We wanted a last minute get getaway and this place was perfect. About an hour from Golden, but far enough into the mountains that you feel like an adventurer.
Reading outside with our doggos as the sun set in the evening was the best part. The music of dogs barking and roosters crowing in the background was so much more peaceful than cars on the roads and sirens.

Awesome tiny cabin in the trees! Beautiful and quiet place, it had comfortable bed and sofa couch to sleep in. Cabin had all things necessary to cook food, plus great hot water for showers and a wonderful dry sauna with a view into the trees. Easy check in and out, the host was expedient with replies to questions as well. It was also very clean and tidy. It was also close enough to town to grab food but far enough away to never hear traffic. I highly recommend this well accommodated cabin. ❤️

We chose to stay at the cabin with the sauna. The cabin was absolutely beautiful and very cozy. Being there when it snowed really added to the experience and made it feel extra peaceful and special. Just be sure to drive carefully in snowy/icy weather. It was a great place to relax and enjoy the scenery. The host was very responsive and communicative, which we appreciated. Overall, a lovely cabin and a great stay.
