Felix Family Farm
1 site · RV, Tent10 acres · Rocky Ford, COThis property was built in 1900 and at that time Rocky Ford was one of the main hubs in Colorado. Over the years it had been used as an agriculture farm then a horse ranch and now we have turned it into a orchard with grapes, fruit trees, vegetable garden and a (2020/2021) hemp farm. Learn more about this land: A small farm surrounded by crop fields and orchards. We thank you all for supporting agri-tourism,  please relax and enjoy your evening spot under our massive old elm tree.  Sit on the swing while viewing the sunset, you'll be able to hear the birds playing in the nearby grape orchards. There is a leveled area of packed earth for tents. vehicles will  park on the graveled area. If you walk for exercise , 3 times around the large field is about a mile. Take a short drive down to the Arkansas River walking paths, the sound of moving water is always soothing when away from home. Or just stroll the property and wander through the grape and fruit tree orchards, feel free to pull a few off to enjoy. We are 420 friendly with three stores in town ..... so if you traveling U.S. Route 50 stop and enjoy Colorado's Arkansas Valley.  There are some really interesting historical sites just miles away.  We are happy to share our property with you...welcome to Rocky Ford, Colorado.

The Lodge
32 sites · Lodging, Tents101 acres · Kismet, KSThis property has been in the Wettstein Family for many years. I grew up on this property and have lived on it for 64 years.  My father (Wendell Wettstein) built the barn in 1948 to hold livestock in and also to have a dairy.  Linda and I have raised all our children on this place and now bring our grandchildren out to visit. We are a crop producing farm and run a pheasant hunting lodge during the hunting season.  This would be a place where you can come out to just relax for as long as you want to.

Saylestates
3 sites · RVs, Tents7 acres · Ordway, COI arrived in the States and in Colorado in particular almost 3 decades ago; this small rural western town became home.  I began planting orchards, shelter trees, acquiring animals, hosting trans-american cyclists and work exchange helpers. In 2008 most of it burned down in a county wild fire.... so it all started over again.... setting up a replacement house, rebuilding 6 barns, replanting 600 trees and restretching fencing. No critters were lost for which I am grateful. Nature can and will heal herself if allowed. There's a lot going on here again.

Purgatory Riverbottoms
8 sites · Tents5 acres · Trinidad, COIf camsites are full, contact me. There is tons of space. Upon arrival, come straight down Cottonwood Avenue past the private signs where the asphalt ends and straight to the Teepee. We are on a Peninsula with the river on one side and an irrigation creek down the other. We own 1/4 stretch along the river across from the riverwalk and downtown. The "Trinidad" lights shine down from atop Simpsons Rest which is a public area. It has an incredible view of Trinidad ans hidden caves and areas to explore as well. The area we own is Picketwire Valley. It was renamed Picketwire because the French couldn't pronounce Purgatory. The French retreated to Simpsons Rest are were surrounded by Indians and were starved etc. The large caves they hid in, have since covered over.

PikesPeakSunriseSetViews, Southeast
6 sites · Lodging, RVs, Tents40 acres · Yoder, COHey there, we're Dan and Susi, and we're excited to welcome you to our peaceful slice of Secluded Paradise on the Dancing Phoenix Farm! Originally from the city, we're now fully immersed in The Farm, located on gently rolling land in the Southeastern Plains of Colorado. Your campsite is located two minutes off Hwy 94, and we offer early check-in, late check-out. Our family lives on the property, and we're happy to help answer any questions. Check in with us by text an hour before your arrival (cell phone reception is not reliable out here). When you arrive, honk at the gate and we'll secure the pups and look forward to meeting you! ABOUT OUR CAMPGROUND Pitch your tent, park your RV/camper, bus or other ride on our pasture and enjoy the stunning wide-open view of Pikes Peak, as well as unobstructed sunrise and sunset views. Kids and leashed fur babies camp free. Your campsite is located approximately 35 minutes from Colorado Springs, and 2 minutes off Highway 94. You do not need 4wd to get to our place. This site has a picnic table for you to enjoy your meals outdoors. The views are stunning from this secluded spot, and there's a water spigot available nearby on the property. Your campsite is located in the wild and rustic, sometimes windy, Southeastern Plains of Colorado, and may not be for everyone. We can experience extreme weather in all seasons. If you're into photography, our thunder and hailstorms occur during Springtime, and you might experience some amazing and intense light and sound shows! When you stay with us, you will get the experience of camping on the Plains of Colorado - wild, raw, sometimes windy and rugged. It's an amazing experience to be had - with stunning views and a feeling of freedom that's hard to find in more civilized and populated locations. You may see or hear coyotes, falcons, pronghorn, bull snakes and rattlers, owls, creepy-crawlers and experience annoying mosquitos and flies during the hotter summer season. Our guests have mentioned they feel like they're on another planet when they're here... of course! We're traveling on the Fifth Dimension out here, so don't be surprised if you hear from the other side. We believe that stewardship of the land is everyone's responsibility, and we're excited to share it with you to enjoy! Stargazing on the site can't be beat, and you may even catch a UFO or alien... if you're aligned! This is NOT a party site. It's a quiet, secluded area where we can connect with nature and take a much needed break. We ask that you not remove anything from the property without chatting about it with us first. Please bring your own blankets and sleeping bags. It can get down to freezing at night, so be prepared for travel and camping in sometimes extreme winter cold. Please check out the local forecast before traveling. We will be happy to refund any weather-related cancellations. If you would like a complimentary cup of instant coffee or herbal tea brought to your site between 6-8 am, let us know what you'd like the night before and we'll send one over! We offer a cold brown-bag style breakfast/snack for $5, as well. Your choice of a couple fresh hard-boiled eggs with trail mix or homemade sourdough bread/butter. ABOUT THE AREA There are a couple small local mini grocery stores and a gas station about 20 minutes west, on Highway 94. There are also a handful of small country cafes in the area, as well as the city restaurants in the Springs. Enjoy nearby hiking trails in the area, as well as bicycling, motorcycle and 4-wheel drive trails. The Paint Mines Interpretive Park is located about 20 minutes away.
