PLEASE NOTE: We have 8 sites, if this does not meet your needs, look through our others. Important Updates: Campers are still welcome, however, we will not interact with you except at a distance or electronically. You should keep distance from anyone else who may be on the property. All campsites are 50-150 feet apart. Enchanted Oaks: is like a small park. I live on 7 acres in the country, just 25 min. from downtown Kansas City on the Kansas side and 25 miles from Lawrence, and the University of Kansas. The property has forest, trails, a 1.5 acre fishing pond, paddle boat, picnic table and shelter. For this site, walk across the footbridge to find your campsite among a small grove of walnut trees. Set your tent up and explore the trails or get your fishing gear ready. The community fire circle is just a short walk back across the bridge with the paddle boat ready to go. This site has a private fire circle. $8 firebundle if you wish to use any fire circle. Parking is about 150 ft. from your site. I have a wheel barrow you can use to transport your equipment, just ask. Come to the front deck and get the information sheet out of the box and get a porta pot to take back to your site. One tent and one vehicle for the base price. If you have a second tent or car, $5 per night for additional cars. Extra tent? Let me know- pricing depends on the number of people. As this is severe weather season we have an emergency shelter in case of tornados. Not to alarm but so you know there is a safe place to go - it's Kansas ! LOL

Live in KC and needed a getaway close to home with my husband. We wanted to camp but being a holiday weekend all state parks were booked. Found this on a whim and it was fantastic. Private camping location, fishing (no extra fees), swimming, Paddle boating, trails, and mostly secluded. Highway noice and a couple neighboring houses in the distance (if you were looking on one side of the entire property). Host was great, delivered firewood each night and was super friendly. He checked up on us and made sure we had all we needed. It was also nice we could have our dog off leash but had to keep him tethered a bit because he is a curious puppy but no patrol coming around at night making sure he was leashed at all times. We really enjoyed our stay.

The 5 dollar extra fee for a campfire. Very worth it. Fire delivered to us each night.Camp site 4. Enough space for a hammock and very shaded.Floating in the pond. Wear shoes but water is clean and just the right temp. Our pup Charlie enjoying not being tethered or leashed

Darrel, thank you so much for the wonderful stay! Campsite #4 was beyond beautiful! The night sounds were magical. Two things- we couldn’t get the fire started due to damp wood & you could hear very loud motorcycles from the road from 11-1am. Not a bad trade off for this beautiful experience! The sites are far away from each other which we haven’t ever experienced before. So nice! I’d say, definitely go ahead and book! And be sure to do some paddle boating in the morning on the pond! (And chat with Darrel, he’s amazing!)

Darrel was extremely personable and provided all that was stated in the site description. We were surprised with how many people were also camping near us, but everyone provided for a pleasant and private experience. Our site was right over the bridge and next to the pond which our two dogs enjoyed thoroughly. Darrel allows dogs to stay off leash which is a plus. We were provided with our own personal fire pit to allow for social distancing. We will definitely be returning.

We really enjoyed our stay at Enchanted Oaks. Our host, Darrel, was very attentive and helpful, but also respected our privacy. The property is very well maintained, gorgeous, and peaceful. Our kids loved the paddle boat and fishing on the pond! Our site was perfect for our family, quiet, but close to everything. Would highly recommend. We can’t wait to come back!

I had a wonderful time here. It was peaceful and beautiful. Lots of wild life to watch. Darrel was very sweet and made sure we had everything we needed. He also is very well traveled and gave us a lot of cool places to check out along our travels. His dog is also really sweet and welcoming.
