We showed up with 4 kids between the ages of 5 and 12, and he pulled no stops entertaining them, including walking his horse down to our campsite for the kids to pet. Weekend Trip to Blackthorn Retreat

Our third visit to Blackthorn and we love it more every time. Camping areas are spread out amongst the woods, and it’s really lovely in cool fall weather! We had a very windy weekend, but our site was nicely blocked from it, so we could just enjoy the sounds from the blowing trees. Great visit!

This place is phenomenal for all ages!! The horses, donkey and pup were so sweet and we absolutely loved them greeting us. We saw a cow run right past us on the land, which is beyond beautiful and so joyful to walk around. Our dogs had such a blast running. There are only 2 sites, both full hook up ,on the opposite side of the pond from the owners house and the historic house. So it feels very private! The land is wide open, the barn is a nice shelter when it rains. Would recommend for anyone! Kate is the best host, we have done this 4-5 years in a row now.

5 nights at C2T Ranch on the Saline River

Great place to stay and be away from it all. We had site #10 Wanda's place for 5 days and thoroughly enjoyed every minute. Water and Electric at the site and tons of room. The Campsites are extremely far apart and we could not see anyone at all from our site. Friendly owner/host Chad & Cynthia. Lots of walking trails, wildlife, great views. We will be back. FYI: T Mobile is almost non existant but with our starlink we had full internet and wifil calling worked great.

Chad and Cynthia have an absolutely gorgeous property and it’s clear a lot of thought went into the layout of the grounds and sites for camping. They were super accommodating and helpful!

1 night at Blackthorn Retreat

Dave’s land was wonderful. There’s lots of cool trails to explore that are well maintained. Our little corner was full of wildlife and right by the river. I can tell Dave puts alot of time and care into his space, and we are so grateful we got to explore it. Dave was a great host and I would recommend this spot to anyone!!
