Fall break campout
the lake and area around was beautiful, we enjoyed the camp spot we had and will possibly come again. My Grandson’s enjoyed the hay ride on Sunday before we left. The clubhouse was great and the little animals all around were so cute. The area was clean and peaceful ( with the exception of the trains passing through),
Though trains came fairly regularly, it did not keep us from enjoying our time. It was fun walking through the area and seeing all the horses, fish were jumping, so we should have gone fishing

Beautiful farm on a lake near town
Fred’s land is a beautiful retreat on the lake. We enjoyed the animals and the morning views. There is a fire pit available and a picnic table to use to enjoy sitting and eating outside. Unfortunately there was a very loud group nearby but thankfully Fred took care of it. I would stay there again. Try Mugshot coffee in town!

Camping with Animals
This was my first Hipcamp experience and it was amazing! From the moment I got there, a baby goat greeted me, and the views were stunning. Fred took me on a tour of the land, and I discovered all kinds of wonderful hiking areas. The horses were so Peaceful. I enjoyed the sunrise over the lake and the sunsets. There is a train that Runs nearby and after the first day, it just became a natural part of the land. I got to take my Grandson fishing for the first time and it was so much fun. I am actually a biker and I couldn’t believe that the Flint nature trailhead was within one minute of the campsite so I enjoyed exploring and that was just another Blessing and bonus part of this camping experience. I really appreciate That someone is willing to share their land and give a teacher a wonderful fall break. I will admit that I was sad to have to leave, but that just Means I will be going back. There are so many special touches to this place but the animals definitely set it apart from anywhere else I’ve ever camped.

Lakefront - Fisherman's Cove
The property was easy to find, clean, and just the getaway we needed. Fred and his wife were kind and attentive. The bathroom in the clubhouse was well maintained as was the portable toilet. The spot we chose was perfect for our family of 4.

Lakefront - North Lake Drive 1
Perfect Fall Respite!!!!
Perfect Fall Respite!!!! Fred upgraded me to Lake Meadows #1. It was the perfect spot to watch both the sun and moon set over the lake. It was very pastoral, just what I needed to get away from the city
Ponies and goats abound! If you fish, I guarantee there are some big fish in that lake/pond. I saw so many big fish jump out of the water to grab a snack!
The clubhouse has a good bathroom, clean & tidy. There's also a pool table and small seating areas inside & out.
Lake Meadows #1 has a fire pit, nice charcoal grill/smoker, picnic table, a small dock, a place to hitch your horses, and incredible views of the sunset over the lake, but also a view of the northeast starry sky. Yes, even while located under a group of trees.
My bundle of wood was enough to get me through my evening and morning. I highly recommend.

Lakefront - Tom's Meadow
Special Place
Fantastic trip. The entire group of caretakers are professional and caring people. They brought huge piles of wood and provided hot showers. There are wonderful animals everywhere: goats, pigs, cats, and dogs. The kids were enthralled with the experience. There is a blind horse that has a donkey that leads it around. It’s the kindest thing I’ve ever seen. The trains are loud but the place is one of the best in Kansas. The spots are huge and it’s far enough out of town to see the spiral of the Milky Way. This is a special, special place.
