Had we known there was such a place as the Geist Farm, we would never have wasted time camping at state parks or campgrounds. This place is as close to nature as you can ever find, without the nightly sounds of loud strangers around a campfire 20 yards away, slamming car doors in the middle of the night, car alarms at midnight, or sitting around an early morning campfire with dozens of other similar campfires in close proximity. There’s just one campsite here. It’s serene. It’s beautiful. They have mowed walking trails through the woods, have a well stocked pond of catfish (catch & release), a campfire area, plenty of room to set up your tarp shelter and tents, and a bathroom and shower not too far away. It’s as close to the perfect campsite as you can ever get. Most importantly, the Geists are kind consummate professionals. They make the perfect camping experience easy. Give their camping home-away-from-home a try. You will not regret it.

We loved tent camping here! The land is spacious and beautiful, especially the millions of fireflies that came out at night. The hosts were not home when we arrived so their parents greeted us so warmly and made us feel comfortable and safe. The barn with toilet and shower were a huge plus too! Would absolutely recommend.

My wife and I absolutely loved this spot! The pond was beautiful ( and full of fish), the area was maintained wonderfully, very private, and the hosts were friendly and down to earth! They truly made us feel at home. We even had a deer walk right past us at dusk. I would highly recommend and will be returning soon!!

The site was quiet and felt private. There was plenty of space for 4 tents and our outdoor games. My dog enjoyed being able to explore freely.
I took my grandsons aged 12 and 9 in my travel trailer. There is a wonderful dock, benches, deck chairs, and a fire pit. The beautiful pond and biting fish kept the boys happy along with building a fire. There is a shed which we visited in the evening for a shower and to watch tv. The most perfect views. I hope to make it back someday. Hosts are lovely people with beautiful children.

We had a wonderful time staying on Allie's land! The private bathroom and shower area was very clean. They were accommodating and kind and even brought us fish food and worms. The catfish were huge and fun to watch! It was an incredibly peaceful experience. Thank you!
This site was perfect for our camper-children. Even beyond the excellent tent camp area and excellent fishing available, was the cordial and authentically real hospitality of Ryan and Allie.

My daughter, dogs, and I stayed in our tent by the pond. It was quiet and secluded but we were also just a few minutes drive from groceries and anything else we might have needed. The mowed paths were great, they gave us a map of all the paths on the property. My daughter loved playing in the pond and watching the fish. We ran to town and bought floatie chairs to add to the fun. In the morning there was a family of geese with five babies that floated around on the pond while we packed up. I felt safe and had a relaxing time. Hosts are very kind and helpful.
Great spot in Topeka. Completely private and very relaxing. 10/10 would recommend staying here.
Such an epic trip for so many reasons. First, it’s hands-down one of the best fishing spots in Kansas. We probably got 35 to 40 fish the entire weekend bass, crappie, catfish (some over 10 pounds) sunfish and even a perch. Second, it’s a really great piece of land and the owners are simply incredible people. They brought us firewood and they had ice and a wonderful shower to use after a long day in nature. Third, close enough for needs but far enough to see the stars. Book it! You’ll love it.

Lovely spot with a pond and ~1 mile of trails that was perfect for camping with our dog. The owner’s house is in line of sight from the main area but it still felt very private. Allie and Ryan and their kids were so kind and the toilet (shower too, though we didn’t use it) in the barn was a nice amenity.
We had a wonderful time camping at Allie and Ryan’s! Their property is so serene and we caught fish!
Such a beautiful site! It was wonderful being surrounded by nature. Allie and Ryan are so kind and accommodating, we will definitely be back!

Allie and Ryan are such a nice couple! They are very accommodating. The land was beautiful and it’s such quick trip to the nearest gas station or Walmart if you need any supplies (they do have extra ice and firewood as well as other items for purchase if needed without leaving the spot). It was a wonderful stay to get away from the busy city life. The pond is teeming with fish and the catfish were especially fun to catch! We utilized their boat and kayak, which was so nice, and also took a float on our lounge floatie to cool off in the warm afternoons. Was a great weekend getaway!

We had a great time camping at Geist family farms! It was clean, well maintained and the fishing can't be beat! Our 4 year old grandson caught his 1st fish and it was a great big catfish! He had a blast! Directions were spot on and hosts kept in touch but had their own thing going so it was as if we were the only people and dogs around! Would be a great spot to bring a group of kids who wanna fish! Thank you for allowing to use your spot for our fun!
Awesome place to camp. Pulled our travel trailer right next to the pond. The dock is awesome. The fish were biting. The shower in the red barn was nice. Allie and Ryan were great hosts. They even made a special delivery for us.

I enjoyed staying overnight at Allie’s pond side site. The bathroom accommodations were super nice and clean, and they also had additional items for purchase if you forgot anything, which is super thoughtful. Highly recommend this site.
We really enjoyed our time camping down by the pond, we caught a dozen or more large catfish both during the day and especially at night. Was a great location to sit on the dock and watch the wildlife. Plenty of Owls in the woods to listen to as well.
Great spot as advertised! Friendly family. I would definitely come back. The fire pit was perfect for cooking and it was so nice to have a private little pond with catfish friends.
This was our favorite Hipcamp location on our trip across the country. Beautiful property, very private and plenty of room to walk your dogs around. The shower and bathroom in the barn were sufficient and it was nice to be able to shower in the morning before hitting the road.

Such an awesome spot! Kids had a great time fishing from the dock and pulled some HUGE catfish. Hosts did a great job of providing anything that might have been forgotten (my son decided to pile half our wood on the fire right away and we were able to buy a bundle from the hosts).
Allie is hospitable and kind and quick to answer any questions. The bathroom/shower was clean, climate controlled, and much appreciated! We had a great stay!

Beautiful land! Perfect campsite location overlooking the pond! Easy access to interstate. Nice restroom/shower barn! Allie has necessities available for purchase and we were able to grab ice before pulling out. Beautiful sky! Listened to the owls as we sat by the campfire! Will definitely stop here again! Thank you Allie!
A great little getaway if you need some time to clear your head! It’s also a nice fishing hole for the kiddos.

Geist farm is the perfect little spot to camp. There are nice, private trails and Allie is so kind to all her guests. Additionally, it is such a great benefit to have easy access to a clean bathroom. Definitely stay here if you’re in the area.
