Weekend Trip to Lake Georgia-Sue

I stayed in The Stevie glamping yurt at Lake Georgia Sue Campground, and it was absolutely perfect. The view was beautiful, the area was peaceful and quiet, and everything was spotless. The entire property is stunning, with horses, goats, mini pigs, and other animals that add to the overall experience. The lake itself is gorgeous, and the residents and employees were incredibly friendly and accommodating throughout my stay. It truly feels like a little hidden gem. Location-wise, it’s great too—Jesse James Cave is just a short drive away, and there’s a local diner nearby with amazing food. If you’re visiting in the fall, the scenery is especially breathtaking. Highly recommend staying here, especially in The Stevie!

We were honored to host Rover and his family as their first Glamping experience together. Fun, friendly. We will be their refuge from the big city as needed.

We were only here one night, and arrived late. Chad was very friendly, met us and escorted us to our spot. The spot was awesome. Quiet, clean, dark. We spent a few minutes the next morning walking around a bit, and this is a beautiful spot. We will most definitely be back and hopefully get to spend more time.

This place is phenomenal for all ages!! The horses, donkey and pup were so sweet and we absolutely loved them greeting us. Kate’s Hipcamp site is the best. Did our yearly trip w both kids and their friends. Despite the rain, we had fun. The goats, chickens, and dogs are fun to hang out with. Great place to stay and be away from it all. We had site #10 Wanda's place for 5 days and thoroughly enjoyed every minute. Water and Electric at the site and tons of room. The Campsites are extremely far apart and we could not see anyone at all from our site. Friendly owner/host Chad & Cynthia. Lots of walking trails, wildlife, great views. We will be back. FYI: T Mobile is almost non existant but with our starlink we had full internet and wifil calling worked great.

Chad and Cynthia have an absolutely gorgeous property and it’s clear a lot of thought went into the layout of the grounds and sites for camping. They were super accommodating and helpful!

Highly recommend! We are staying for a night in a middle of a long trip, host was welcoming and guide us to our site even all dark outside. Our site is quiet and private, I feel really safe staying here. Host provided good firewood for free. We spent the morning under the tree and letting our pup run free even in the water. He had a really good time after long road trip. I would highly recommend staying here with our without a dog
