Weekend Trip to Our Little Grove

Our group of four had the most wonderful stay at Beverly’s farm. Beverly is an amazing host, as well as person! She made sure we had everything we needed and was very thorough with instructions. We enjoyed getting to know her and her two cute pups. The goat and sheep were a fun addition! Close drive to Lindsborg and Coronado Heights, which offers the most beautiful sunset. We enjoyed every bit of our trip and will definitely be making our way back soon!

Weekend Trip to Lake Georgia-Sue

We had an amazing weekend camping at Lake Georgia-Sue, staying at Tom’s Meadow campsite. The whole experience was wonderful. Our kids especially loved all the animals (goats, horses, and even a pig!). We spent our days kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing, and enjoying campfires in the evenings. The clubhouse was just a short walk away and had everything we needed. Fred was a fantastic host, super helpful and welcoming. We absolutely plan to come back and hope to make this a family tradition!

1 night at Our Little Grove

What a great place to land in Kansas. I found this place by searching “unique campsites” and it delivered. I got in and Beverly showed me a nice spot with lots of camp amenities I wasn’t expecting like electricity and an upgraded sleeping spot! The peaceful animals added to the vibe. Then I set out exploring the area on my bike. There is a lovely bike trail that sets off basically right from the property that takes you to a quaint and interesting little town. For me the best feature of the town was a municipal pool with a $2 admission! If, like me, you love a place to swim to cool off from a day on the road, this one’s got it! As a woman traveling alone I also felt very safe here which is another huge plus. One note, even with bug spray I got a ton of bites, so make sure you bring the best you got cause the mosquitos here are beasts. Beverly will tell you that too. Up until now my favorite spot to stop on my annual trip to Colorado was a place in nearby Salina. Now I have this one too. There must be some unknown quiet magic in this part of the country.

1 night at The Light Center

Very comfortable surroundings and nice hosts. The smell of flowers in the air on the property could not be b overlooked.

2 nights at Basecamp Flint Hills

The camp site was nice and clean, and lots of trees. It is right on the Flint Hills Trail. Appreciated the shower. I would come back.

1 night at C2T Ranch on the Saline River

My dad and I went on a cross country camping trip and I have to say that this site was one of the best we have stayed at so far. The family was super nice and helpful, which created a very hospitable environment. The specific site Cedar Grove was absolutely beautiful with a view of the river and bluff while still managing to feel extremely private. This is definitely a place that I recommend to others! One thing that I would like to note is that we have stayed at many different campgrounds and while they can be beautiful, sometimes you don’t sleep very hard because of being worried about your environment. But I have to say that this place combined with the amazing hosts made you feel very safe and able to get a good nights sleep. This place is great!

Weekend Trip to C2T Ranch on the Saline River

The property was beautiful. It was unfortunate that we came and went in a crazy wind gusts. Therefore we didn't have time to explore and play but we will definitely be putting this one on the return list. The oven hot fresh cinnamon rolls in the morning was another perk. Chad was such a great host and stayed up late to see us in well after checkin hours.

Weekend Trip to The Light Center

The Light Center was beautiful and welcoming! My friend and I had a delightful and meaningful time meditating, soaking in nature, and sitting around the fire pit talking while our girls played. The butterflies were amazing, and the fireflies were like nature's rave. We saw a little armadillo buddy too. The Yurt amenities were well thought out. I took a battery pack for my CPAP. We'll be back!!

Weekend Trip to C2T Ranch on the Saline River

Kansas wind can be very unpredictable. C2T Ranch Owners, Chad and Cindy, allowed our family to rebook to another weekend when Mother Nature blew with 20-50 mph winds all weekend. Thank you Chad and Cindy for being so understanding. Looking forward to our camping weekend with you.

The Fun Family Farm is absolutely amazing! We’ve been here multiple times and it is always such a blast. There are tons of various activities to do for the kids. Our favorite is to play in the creek! Bill and Nancy are some of the kindest people in the world!!

Weekend Trip to BaseCamp Humboldt

Nice place to stay, lots to keep the kids entertained. Not the biggest fan of the walk to the shower house but they let you know beforehand and the full hook ups make it worth it. Overall will be going back again.

The lake itself is 8 acres, with a lot of fish, swimming, small craft boating, kayaking, and wind surfing. The property has numerous sites where you can private pasture your horses, work them in our private round pens, and trail ride them in the hundreds of miles of trails that intersect the property. These are VERY large and private campsites with no nosey or loud neighbors. Sites are for primitive camping, RVs needing electric hookups via available generators, fresh water. Lakefront sites or forest sites are available. Showers, toilets, AC Clubhouse, playground, ponies, pet pigs, goats, and chickens. Pet friendly. Group camping for up to 25 people. This entry is to give you an overview of the farm and also in case you want to hold a laid-back, nature-oriented, special event at the FFF, where our mantra is, “nothing will be perfect, but everything will be fine.” So, if you are looking for artificial perfection, look elsewhere. This is camping, not Glamping! ---For any of the guest houses, bring your own linens or sleeping bags, or rent from us. ---The Blue Bedroom has a double bed in it, as does the Hippie Van.
