1 night at The Nest at Duck's Landing
Gorgeous property! Only downside was the golf course runs parallel to the fence line. Golfers could be nosey.. other than that- stunning location!

Kate’s land is beautiful. And there’s way more than is visible. She was very accommodating. I loved the outdoor toilet and shower. She has plenty of cooking amenities ready for use. I got goat food from her and went to find them. Warning, one of them is greedy! LOL
I was lulled to sleep by the sounds of 2 different kinds of owls. Her dogs are beautiful, but one is a little rambunctious. But Kate made sure to keep a hold of her. There’s a great area for a campfire as well, but I felt it was too windy for that. But there was wood, branches, and some paper for making a fire.
Overall, if you’re ok with primitive, I’d highly recommend staying here.

An absolutely wonderful stay! Exceeded my expectations. Susan and Brian were so friendly and welcoming. There was a thunderstorm, and they came out to introduce themselves and give us a flashlight, and invited us to come up to their house if the storm got bad. My 10&13 y/o boys absolutely loved it. The highlight for them was the stocked fish pond and feeding the ducks. The property was beautiful and peaceful, with lots of benches, a pier and a porch swing. The firepit area had seating, and the firewood was even arranged so the fire was already built for us!
The camper was adorable and cozy. So many small details (such as battery-powered candles on inside the cabin when we got in), and other decor that was very thoughtful and aesthetically pleasing!
It's clear that this couple really find enjoyment and pride in bringing guests into their space. We really just felt so taken care of the whole time.

Weekend Trip to The Light Center
Our stay in the Moonlight room at The Light Center was incredibly comfortable and soothing. Walking around the grounds was very peaceful. We loved getting to see the chickens and pet the goats! Robin lead us through a beautiful meditation for the Fall Equinox event that they had the day we arrived. Susan was very welcoming and so helpful with explaining the property and where we could wander and explore. We will absolutely be visiting The Light Center again!

Nice campsite, great stay to get away from the state parks. The trains are very close - and run often.
The farm animals are a nice touch. Overall, very relaxing, and close to anything you may need.

Magical place. If you’re looking for luxury, look elsewhere. If you’re looking for cozy, mystical, earth-based comfort and a sweet intentional community, this is your place!!! Susan was so welcoming and helped me feel right at home. I want a reason to return to Kansas so I can go back 🥰

Beautiful scenery tucked away within driving distance of the city. The county store has everything you need to stay put though. They also do weekend programming for kids which is cool.
