We also have roughly 3 miles of wooded trails for you to explore. There is a playground for the kids to play on, a basketball court, and a sand volleyball pit. This is very camp at the lake style. Cabins do not have restrooms built in, but we have shower houses on site for you to use. They do have electricity, heat, and air conditioning. We have a private compost toilet near by the camp and will have filtered water available. This spot on our land is known for its many stunning sunsets! Kansas just might have some of the best sunsets.. You will have access to 6.33 acres of private prairie and wooded trails which Includes our 8 arce lake. Our canoe is also available for rent upon request. Just a couple miles up the road is Hillsdale Lake (The 14th largest lake in Kansas! It’s huge at 7 square miles). There are lots of trails and activities in the area.Directions / Parking: When finding our driveway off of 265th turn into the driveway on the West of the two driveways (the one up the hill) and drive all the way back past the house on the left. You will see signs to park. There will be a short trail to the Northwest to the tent spots.About the Hosts: In the Mainhouse nearby where you park lives Nissa and Ben along with 3 boys, 1 Pomeranian (Josie), and 5 cats (Nova (Mancoon), Bat (the mamma), Diamond Bear (Bats daughter), and Shadow and Besitos (Diamond Bears two black cat brother twins). Lake Georgia-Sue is an 85 acre oasis of relaxation and fun. We are located in East Central Kansas, not far from Kansas City, Topeka, Lawrence, and Wichita. The lake itself is 8 acres, with a lot of fish, swimming, small craft boating, kayaking, and wind surfing. The property has numerous sites where you can private pasture your horses, work them in our private round pens, and trail ride them in the hundreds of miles of trails that intersect the property. These are VERY large and private campsites with no nosey or loud neighbors. Sites are for primitive tenting or full RV 30 amp and water hookups. Lakefront sites or forest sites are available. Showers, toilets, AC Clubhouse, playground, ponies, pet pigs, goats, and chickens. Pet friendly. Group camping for up to 25 people. Great for weddings, birthdays, etc We are just a short drive from four larger state lakes. An abundance of good restaurants are just ten minutes away, and sometimes we take a trail ride to eat Mexican or BBQ in the village close by.

The Light Center is a 95 acre natural sanctuary nestled in a wooded valley amidst the farm land of Kansas. It offers a 30ft Pacific Yurt, a 12ft Pacific Yurt for campers, lots of remote, private space in the woods for respectful off-grid camping and a well rehabilitated 125 year old barn that offers a dormitory-style loft and private rooms. We offer all levels of camping from easy beginners to those that want to rough it in the wild. Our space serves as a spiritual retreat center and so we welcome peaceful camping for people with reverence for the land and all beings. We also have goats, chickens, guinea hens, dogs and cats. There is a large creek that winds throughout the land and goes up and down with rainfall, determining how easy the access will be to the backpacking acreage. The Light Center is a beacon lighting the way into a vibrant future. Harmonizing with the earth, inspiring personal, local and global connection. Providing safe space for spiritual growth and healing, and empowering youth.
