We are on 7 beautiful acres in Baldwin City, KS. We're in town, but you'll feel like you're secluded in the country so you get the convenience of being close to downtown Baldwin, just 3 minutes away, while also feeling like you're in the middle of nowhere peacefully camping, just you and the birds. Our "glamper" is a 1960's retro camper that has been fully restored. The outside still looks very retro, but when you step inside you'll instantly surrender to the relaxation that awaits. Sink into the pile of fluffy pillows, take in the breathtaking boho vibe and the many amenities including A/C and Heat, wifi, a microwave, television with Netflix, refrigerator, waterless toilet and hand-washing sink. Games and snacks are tucked away in the kitchen area for you to enjoy your leisurely time at The Nest! With a large deck on the front you can take in the views of a nearby pond and a meandering creek which serves as a wildlife highway. Don't be surprised when a deer walks within view or a blue heron flies overhead. The deck is adorned with overhead lights that stretch to a nearby firepit and outdoor sitting area. On the other side of the camper you can snooze your worries away in the hammock, perfect for napping or reading a favorite book. The pond, just feet away from the camper is full of fish including crappie, catfish and bass and fishing poles are available for your use. Near the pond you'll find a small shelter house for up close views of the pond. The family of geese and ducks you'll see walking around are permanent residents of Duck's Landing, hence the name. Adjacent to the property there's a 9 hole golf course. Additionally Baldwin has several restaurants and shops to spend a leisurely day exploring our beautiful, historic town.Despite the charm of the 1960's camper the space is loaded with modern amenities (AC/Heat, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, t.v., wifi, Netflix). A great stay with great hosts. The camper is very well kept with plenty of amenities. A nice and quiet stay away from the city without being too far removed from anything. Great location in a fun little town. Hosts that went above and beyond to make us feel accommodated.

Gorgeous property! Only downside was the golf course runs parallel to the fence line. Golfers could be nosey.. other than that- stunning location!

A Truly Beautiful Space!

An absolutely wonderful stay! Exceeded my expectations. Susan and Brian were so friendly and welcoming. There was a thunderstorm, and they came out to introduce themselves and give us a flashlight, and invited us to come up to their house if the storm got bad. My 10&13 y/o boys absolutely loved it. The highlight for them was the stocked fish pond and feeding the ducks. The property was beautiful and peaceful, with lots of benches, a pier and a porch swing. The firepit area had seating, and the firewood was even arranged so the fire was already built for us! The camper was adorable and cozy. So many small details (such as battery-powered candles on inside the cabin when we got in), and other decor that was very thoughtful and aesthetically pleasing! It's clear that this couple really find enjoyment and pride in bringing guests into their space. We really just felt so taken care of the whole time.

Beautiful and cozy camper with all the necessities! I’d highly recommend to anyone considering looking for a camping trip with the extra necessities such as television and Netflix :-) The location of the camper is set across from their gorgeous pond so you feel some seclusion. Owners are close enough by to feel safe and they’re amazing with communication.

Beautiful location and really kind hosts! We loved the retro camper and amazing stocked lake. My kids and I had a wonderful time exploring the property, fishing, and we slept really well. 10/10 we would stop here again on our way through Kansas!

Wonderful time at The NEST!

I had an incredible time staying here and cannot recommend it enough. The RV camper was exactly as described—if not better. I was able to unplug from the busy world but still have the comforts of home. It was so peaceful to sit or read by the water and watch the wildlife, and then when I got too hot I could return to the RV to cool off and enjoy some ice cream from the freezer. The hosts went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and ensured I had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. I loved the quiet atmosphere and the beautiful surrounding scenery. It was the perfect spot to unplug, relax, and star-gaze. I will definitely be back! Thank you for sharing your beautiful property with me.

OG Glamp’g N quiet& charming spot!

Super cute spot!! Lots of work has been put into their property- large pond. Ducks, nighttime lights to easily find/ see camper. They do stay on all night so bring a sleeping mask. Bed is small- perfect for 1 or 2 small adults. Camper has its own deck, hammock, chairs& table - perfect for HH drinks or AM ☕️ Inside camper- frig& freezer, coffee pot& microwave. Great spot & a true Glamping experience.

Loved the camper at ducks landing. The property was beautiful Sarah was very thorough with all her explanations to ensure had the best experience on her property. It was below freezing the entire time we stayed and the heat in the camper kept us more than comfortable she left extra blankets which we didn’t end up using and also she left us extra water since the pump sink was frozen. Had a great time kicking back by the fire on a beautiful cold night in Baldwin city. We can’t wait to travel through again.

Idyllic Retreat Within City Reach

We were honored to be some of the first hipcampers to stay at this property! The hosts were so friendly and welcoming and readily answered every question we had. All amenities were as described, and they even offered to start a campfire for us upon arrival. There are plenty of scenic views to take in, and the hosts provided a variety of seating and shelters around the property. A detailed guide was provided that gave instructions to electronics in the camper, as well as suggestions for local outings, and was much appreciated!
