Enjoy the beautiful timber, stocked pond, peaceful creek, the native wildlife, and the sound of nature throughout the property. Disc golf, hiking trails, canoeing, fishing, and swimming in creeks are favorites by most guests. Guests can also learn how to throw a tomahawk, hunting knife, and atlatl near the camping sites. Such an incredible experience. The best campsite! Steven was phenomenal and was always there to help and join into activities. Steven also spent time getting my son's lure out of a tree! So many activities that my 5 year old did not want to leave. We cannot wait to go back and highly recommend The Hitch'N Post

Our group of 5 (2 adults, 3 kids ages 2-7) could not have loved this place more!! Steven was an excellent, attentive and helpful host! His patience and thoroughness teaching/showing our kids the property’s activities was just so wonderful. Entertaining and welcoming!! I highly recommend!

Steve was friendly and generous with his time in teaching us about many native weapons and how to throw them. Kids had a blast!

Best Camping Spot
My son and I had a wonderful camping weekend together. The campsite is huge. Well maintained and so peaceful. The trees hang overhead so it’s not hot we could lay in our hammock and watch the birds. You can hear lots of wildlife at night but still feel safe. I was there alone with my son and felt very safe, which was important to me. Steve is an awesome guy and he always goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable. He’s also great with kids and you can tell he really enjoys teaching them. This was our second time back at the Hitchin’ post and we hope to be back again. It’s a great spot to camp. Thank you Steve for a special weekend with my son.

Lots of fun for sure!
We had a pop up camper and it was a great set up for it. There’s not electricity in the campground area but he has them by his shed if you need them. The walk around Stevens property is nice and cleared out. My dog had a blast sniffing and exploring the woods. We had the place to ourselves so a lot of privacy. Even if there was another camper around, it would of been enough space between us. He has lots of fun activities to do out there.
