We are on 7 beautiful acres in Baldwin City, KS. We're in town, but you'll feel like you're secluded in the country so you get the convenience of being close to downtown Baldwin, just 3 minutes away, while also feeling like you're in the middle of nowhere peacefully camping, just you and the birds. Our "glamper" is a 1960's retro camper that has been fully restored. The outside still looks very retro, but when you step inside you'll instantly surrender to the relaxation that awaits. Sink into the pile of fluffy pillows, take in the breathtaking boho vibe and the many amenities including A/C and Heat, wifi, a microwave, television with Netflix, refrigerator, waterless toilet and hand-washing sink. Games and snacks are tucked away in the kitchen area for you to enjoy your leisurely time at The Nest! With a large deck on the front you can take in the views of a nearby pond and a meandering creek which serves as a wildlife highway. Don't be surprised when a deer walks within view or a blue heron flies overhead. The deck is adorned with overhead lights that stretch to a nearby firepit and outdoor sitting area. On the other side of the camper you can snooze your worries away in the hammock, perfect for napping or reading a favorite book. The pond, just feet away from the camper is full of fish including crappie, catfish and bass and fishing poles are available for your use. Near the pond you'll find a small shelter house for up close views of the pond. The family of geese and ducks you'll see walking around are permanent residents of Duck's Landing, hence the name. Adjacent to the property there's a 9 hole golf course. Additionally Baldwin has several restaurants and shops to spend a leisurely day exploring our beautiful, historic town.

Base Camp is a 21 acre modern glampground + RV Park, trailhead, and bike park located in Humboldt.
We have beautiful tiny home cabins, mini A-frames and full service pull-through RV hookups. Located in Humboldt, KS at the trailhead to the Southwind rails-to- trails. Base Camp features a quarry pond for fishing and small watercraft's, large open fields for recreation and a bike skills course perfect for beginners and seasoned riders alike. Currently, we do not offer tent camping.
Our RV spots are located in our paved parking lot. Each rental includes water, 30 and 50 amp electric and sewer hookups.

This entry is to give you an overview of the farm and also in case you want to hold a laid-back, nature-oriented, special event at the FFF, where our mantra is, “nothing will be perfect, but everything will be fine.” So, if you are looking for artificial perfection, look elsewhere. This is camping, not Glamping!
---For any of the guest houses, bring your own linens or sleeping bags, or rent from us.
---The Blue Bedroom has a double bed in it, as does the Hippie Van. Both have either air conditioners or heaters as needed.
---The Big Yellow Bus has a queen bed and two sets of bunk beds in addition to a wood stove, air conditioner, small refrigerator, and a microwave.
---Braden's Brown Bus has a double bed and a futon, air conditioner, sink and a small refrigerator.
---The Hippie Van is a painted VW van with the seats removed and a double bed built in. AC and Heat are available.
Some of the fun we create on the farm includes:

1 night at Wild Rest Sanctuary
I recently stayed at Wild Rest Sanctuary upon entering the property I felt like it was transported into another world as a entered the forested road that provided a sense of wunderlust anticipating what was around the next curve. It felt like I was driving backwards in time into nature. I imagined Hansel and Gretel following the trail of bread Crumbs through the forest. Upon arriving at the meadow and first setting eyes on the amenities, I imagined a medieval camp prepared for a king seeing the majestic tents and yurt. Some of the highlights that I experienced during my stay were watching the stars at night smelling the floral scent wafting on the heavy summer air. It felt like I was living in poetry. Other highlights were the well-appointed tents prepared with all amenities needed bed, and bedding, storage, lighting fans. I especially loved how user-friendly the booking website was, as well as all of the items that you could choose from, such as kits for making s'mores and optional Wi-Fi, although that was the last thing I wanted as I was enjoying my escape from civilization. The shower facilities were excellent, especially for an off-the-grid sanctuary. The host Christina was so accommodating and inviting. You could definitely see her passion for her vision of this sanctuary and it showed in her desire to provide everything needed to each person's individual desires. She has that unique magnetic personality that can't help but leave you smiling.

Dave’s land and hipcamp is very unique. Our grandsons really enjoyed the trail behind our Pods and walk down the road. The star gazing was phenomenal! Dave was responsive to inquiries I had and very welcoming to all of us.

Our family really enjoyed the visit. My girls are elementary age and it was a lot of fun to see the ducks from the school bus. They run up a ramp and jump into a pool! Super cute. Chickens, a pig, and gorgeous land all around. Lots of yard games like jenga, horse shoe, sand pit with digging tools. The owners are super neat people, very interesting to learn about the land, the history, and all the projects about! Lots to do, but also, time to sit and be still in the calm remote part of Kansas. We didn't leave their property other than a walmart trip-just 20 minutes away!

This place was awesome. Very easy to pull in and set up. The paved area might look too "suburban" at first but it is very close to paths to the lake, kayaks and floating stuff as well as courses for bikes (provided) and casual walks!, is also well insulated from the road and traffic noise The area was level and we were within 0.25 inches both side to side and front to back with almost no adjustments!!! There are curbs in each pull thru lane so make sure you have your props/stilts for your drainage lines but it was very easy and very convenient set up. Check in and check out was all electronic booking thru Hipcamper so very easy in and out! The lake is large enough to enjoy kaying/paddling and clean enough to jump in. Easy rock launch pad for the kayak and canoes as well. The bathroom and showers were clean (though we didn't use due to full RV hook up) and easy to access from the camp sites. There is a game room with billiards and other stuff to keep teens occupied. It is a very short trip to town where there was shopping and the weekend we were there, happenings downtown to add to the appeal. Overall this park was incredibly easy, convenient, clean and a real pleasure. We feel fortunate to have discovered this place and hope to return here often. We were RV full hook up but the cabin sites were super cute and looked amazing regarding location to water, spacing between sites for privacy etc. I would full on return in my camper or if looking for a Cabin getaway! Great place!

Weekend Trip to Fun Family Farm - Overview
This place had everything. Ducks, chickens, two turkeys one cute little pig, and three friendly dogs. There was a playground with a trampoline and a huge sandbox for my granddaughter. We didn’t check out the pond, but spent the day down at the creek. Just the nicest people.
Would love to go back with more grandkids😃

Everything is charming about staying at BaseCamp. The bathrooms and shower were very clean. Lots of board games to play and pool table in the Bike Barn. We spent our time fishing and doing s'mores over a camp fire. They had plenty of wood for us to burn! We took time to go into town and get some amazing coffee, lunch, and visited the the ice cream place a couple times. Hopefully next time we will make it to the cocktail bar and brewery. We stayed in an RV this time maybe next time we will rent a cabin.
