The Light Center is a 95 acre natural sanctuary nestled in a wooded valley amidst the farm land of Kansas. It offers a 30ft Pacific Yurt, a 12ft Pacific Yurt for campers, lots of remote, private space in the woods for respectful off-grid camping and a well rehabilitated 125 year old barn that offers a dormitory-style loft and private rooms. We offer all levels of camping from easy beginners to those that want to ruff it in the wild. Our space serves as a spiritual retreat center and so we welcome peaceful camping for people with reverence for the land and all beings. We also have goats chickens, guinea hens, dogs and cats. There is a large creek that winds throughout the land and goes up and down with rainfall, determining how easy the access will be to the backpacking acreage. The Light Center is a beacon lighting the way into a vibrant future. Harmonizing with the earth, inspiring personal, local and global connection. Providing safe space for spiritual growth and healing, and empowering youth.   We are a retreat center, an organic sustainable farm, providing natural sacred spaces for hiking and camping, celebrations and ceremonies. Creating new paths into the future with open hearts

The Redtail Yurt
Contemplative Escape to Nature
The Light Center is a lovely place to stay. It was the perfect halfway point on my long road-trip & just what I needed: nature, space to stretch, comfy place to sleep & a warm welcome. I was lucky enough to attend their full moon meditation! Everyone I met was so kind. The Yurt I stayed in is definitely more of a primitive camping experience (no electric, etc) but I loved the experience. I would love to stay again sometime. Thanks Robin & friends! 🤍 P.s don’t get there after dark like I did (I’m not a good road-trip planner) because it’s very difficult to navigate on the gravel country roads & adds unnecessary stress.

The Redtail Yurt
Practical and magical
The whole property is great, the woods are magical with more butterflies, mushrooms and toads than I could have hoped for. Everyone on sure was warm, kind and welcoming. The yurts are great for those unsure about tent/primitive camping but want to reconnect to nature. Composting toilets and outdoor shower area well maintained Honestly can't wait to come back. I definitely recommend staying anywhere at The Light Center.

A very special place
I LOVE The Light Center! Robin and all the care takers are amazingly friendly, helpful, and give you all the tips and tricks to have an great time. Go pick the black raspberries in the morning for fresh fruit in your breakfast then meditate with the hummingbirds in the garden across from the Creation Station. The forest really is Enchanted :) Odell will greet you as you drive in, he’s a sweetheart and just wants pet so make sure to stop and give the dog some love. Whether you’re looking for a quiet getaway in nature as a couple, filled with walking and hiking trails; or needing to escape the city with your dog - this is the place to do it. T.L.C is a very special place where the healing forces combine to fill the land with good energy. I’ll be going back for years to come.

Moonlight Room in The Barn
Beautiful, Welcoming Space!
The Light center is such a beautiful, welcoming, calm space, with equally welcoming and warm people on site. There are little surprises everywhere from the farm to the fairy garden. Beds were comfy and it was awesome to have access to a shower, kitchen, and fire pit. Would definitely recommend!

Site 2 - A Walk-in Campsite
Very serene place to camp with friendly people and quiet nights (as far as people noises go--still plenty of wildlife noises!) I wish my schedule had allowed more time to relax and wander the paths.
