2 nights at Hussey Mountain Tree Farm

Had an absolute blast on Eben’s land 10/10 would recommend camping at the ridge. The views are outstanding and the hiking trails are a lot of fun. If the weather permits definitely try out the little boat as well!!

3 nights at Sacred Nectar Sanctuary

Went tent camping at site #5. Views were amazing, had a lot of fun around the campfire telling stories and looking at the stars. So many cute nooks to explore, can tell the land is well loved. Was welcomed by Nick and some very cute dogs at out check in. The Spring water nearby was great too! Would definately come back with a larger group in the future, there was plenty of room to place a lot of tents comfortably. My 2WD car made the drive up and down to the site quite easily - be sure to watch for animals on the way up!

Stayed at campsite no.10 next to the small creek. Every other campsite seemed clean and well put like the one I stayed at. I liked that all the campsites are not to close to each other so it gives you some privacy. So far, it was a good place to camp in my rooftop tent for a bike trip at highland!

2 nights at Streeter Mountain Farm

Josh was spot on…easy to communicate with & available. He was able to accommodate my request to change from outside glamping to an indoor room, due to the weather without missing a beat. The accommodations were excellent, clean, practical & just as depicted. Rained while I was there & it was pretty cool, but the grounds were accessible with flowers blooming & the garden coming along beautifully! I would definitely return if in the area. Thanks Josh!

Weekend Trip to Champion Meadow Campground

The campsite was great and Marc took excellent care. It poured rain for three days and the cT river rose to the edge of campground but we were well taken care of by Marc. Great location.

Weekend Trip to Souhegan Shores

We love staying at Bobs campsites along the Souhegan River. Group of 4 adults, an 11month old baby, and one pup enjoyed a late May weekend at campsite #1. Although it rained for a good portion, the huge tarp over the picnic table was incredibly helpful! We set up an ez-up but didn't end up using it as intended over the picnic table, but put it just off to the side acting as a baby corral while we cooked meals at the site. We also fit an SUV, truck camper, and tent on the site. Loved the sound of the rushing river, made even higher by all the rain. So peaceful it felt like we were alone in the woods, even with the horse pasture on the other side of the fence. Ticks were bad this time around but we checked ourselves often. As always, we love the grate over the firepit for cooking, as well as the option to purchase firewood on site!

The A-frame is the perfect size for a couple that is opting for a metal tent. Really clean inside, and the lights were a nice touch. Ryan is a great host and communicated really well. We will be back!

Wonderful stay at Pitch Perfect. LeeAnn is a great host and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Fantastic communication and a really great spot. I highly recommend a stay at Pitch Perfect. We camped while riding mountain bikes at Highland Bike Park and will not hesitate to stay at Pitch Perfect again if we come back to ride. Just be sure to bring bug spray but the bugs didn’t deter the enjoyment of our stay!

Weekend Trip to Sacred Nectar Sanctuary

Really nice property laid out with lots of cool features. Nick clearly cares for the land how is used. The site was perfect and secluded for our big group. Site 2 has a lot of tree covering which helped for the rain. There are several leveled pads for the tents. All the necessities you could ask for were provided at the site or on the property. Highly recommend staying here, exploring the land, and the surrounding areas.

Weekend Trip to Pitch Perfect at Canterbrook

First time camping here but will be back, even checked out other empty spots to try out! More than enough space for a family with active kiddos and dogs, I know mine were happy and tired by the time it was supper time both 2 legged and four! Sites are close together but far enough apart where it still feels private! Leeann checked in from time to time to make sure we were all right or if we needed anything. We at one point ran out of wood and within 10-15 min(honestly was probably faster) after calling her to ask for more wood, her assistant was there with more wood then one could ever need which if you didn’t pay for in advance, was still okay to use and pay for what you did use at checkout. There was a 3 gallon jug of potable water on sight and plenty of porta potties within eyesight/walking distance of the spot! Didn’t swim in the brook as it was a cold and rainy Memorial Day weekend, but would have been a much needed relief from the heat had it been hot!

We loved Bob and Tini’s land! There were well marked signs so you wont be able to miss it. Very spacious campsite with chairs and picnic table. It has been raining for the past few days so the river was rushing and was nice to hear at night. Everything exceeded our expectations. Definitely one of the best hip camps I’ve been to so far!

Absolutely amazing and so beautiful. He had everything as could have needed and the outdoor shower was amazing. He was extremely nice to! We have a 42ft fifth wheel and it fit perfectly. The hike was also great!

Weekend Trip to Butter Hill Hideaway-Forest Retreat

Had a great time, Lori's property is beautiful and each of her 3 tents are secluded enough for each to have their own experience. The outhouse was kept clean and each tent pad had enough cookware for us to make some great meals plus the tent was water tight through a few rainy days. Evans Notch is a beautiful place and anyone who appreciates the nature of the White Mountains would be lucky to stay at this spot.

This a great site, close to bathroom (very clean!) and the main field. It was not a secluded site, both sites can be seen on each side, but very quiet. Wood was for sale, as well as other basic items if needed. She was present and attentive. I didnt have the chance to see the alpacas. Thank you!

Although once almost totally cleared for crops and grazing, most of our land is now devoted to forestry, but some land remains open and devoted to forage crops. We also have a modern hillside maple orchard. Although we no longer actively farm full time, the stewardship of our farm is of upmost importance to our family. We encourage people to visit our property and enjoy it fully. We host a Boy Scout Troop campsite on another part of our property. We are located in the heart of the Dartmouth-Lake Sunapee Region with countless cultural, and recreational opportunities just minutes away. We hope you will come for a visit and learn to love our farm and community as much as we do.Learn more about this land:Shaded Brookside Glen is a private, stream side, level, pull through site for a small RV, trailer, or tent. This is the private campsite we developed on our farm several years ago for when my wife and I need a little getaway, but don't have the time to travel. Shaded Brookside Glen is a level, mowed lawn surrounded by mature trees and bushes. Dry camping only, but a nice composting outhouse is easily available nearby. Water is available from the year round trout stream, but drinking water must be carried in. Shaded Brookside Glen has a picnic table, a metal fire pit, and limited fire wood is supplied. The drive to the site is across a grassy, mowed, well drained field, but can be effected by long periods of rain.

Wandering Pines is a little slice of magic in the Great North Woods of New Hampshire. Our sites are large, private and offer field or wooded land. The sites are near our Small House on 5 acres but far enough away to feel private. We currently have 5 sites; 1 glamping site(opening soon) 1 large campsite, 2 primitive sites and 2 park and sleep sites. While the weather is changing, snow is melting and mud is present, some of our sites may not be available. Please message me before booking. We have a ton of space and can accommodate you somewhere! During the warmer months(Late March-Early December) all the sites have access to water and a primitive outhouse and handwashing/dishwashing station. All sites except the primitive sites have access to electricity. Firewood can be purchased. We have wetlands and overgrown fields so there may be bugs and other animals at any given time. Bug spray is recommended. Although black bears are generally shy and usually avoid humans, they are opportunistic and will search for human food supplies when natural foods are not available. Maintaining a sustainable bear population in New Hampshire depends on minimizing human-bear conflicts. It is illegal to intentionally feed bears in New Hampshire. Intentional feeding can create problems within residential areas and can result in fines. It also may threaten the life of the bear, if it becomes a nuisance animal as a result of this feeding. Please keep your food in your car when you are not at the site and when you are sleeping. The property has views of Mount Martha and the Presidential Mountain Range. There are easy walking trails throughout the property. There is a field to play games; Soccer, wiffle ball, corn hole and yard croquet can be used. Just ask We are within 25 mins of Lancaster, Jefferson, Littleton, and Bethlehem. Small town bars, restaurants, breweries and one of a kind views of mountains, lakes, rivers and wildlife. Camp Ebb and Flow is located on the western edge of the White Mountains, near the crossing of the Appalachian Trail and a short drive to VT. Three lakes nearby for swimming, kayaking, and fishing. Hiking trails nearby. The camp offers RV sites with water, electricity, and sewer, an RV site with no hookups, and several tent sites. One of the tent sites has water and electricity and another has electricity with nearby water. There is bathhouse with two toilets and two vanities as well as a shower with changing room. Potable water is also available from a spigot at the bathhouse. There are over six acres of mowed fields for activities and walking. There is also a lovely brook running through the property with many areas you can cool off in from the summer heat. This property has a lengthy history going back to colonial times. It’s been a farm, an apple orchard, and once had a sawmill. Please check the calendar for available dates. Check-in is no later than 9pm unless late arrival arrangements have been made prior to booking. Whenever possible, try to arrive before dark because there are no lights at most sites, which can make setup difficult. A note regarding electric vehicles (EV): If you have an electric vehicle and would like to tent camp, please select one of our full hookup RV sites. If you have the proper electric adapter for your vehicle, you can charge your vehicle at the 30A RV plug while tenting in the field near the RV site. We do not supply these adapters, and we cannot allow you to charge your vehicle unless you have reserved an RV site with full hookups. ATFS Certified Tree Farm Est. 2004 Camp with your group at our private Tree Farm / Conservation / Recreation Area. Established in 2004, we are an 87 acre ATFS certified Tree Farm located in the Blue Hills Range in the Foothills to NH’s White Mountains. Choose from one of four unique sites / outdoor spaces to best fit your camping needs; book a combination to reserve a section of the mountain, or book all four sites for total privacy or for events. Our Farm spans the northerly side of Hussey Mountain from the base to the summit. Guests are provided with private access to several miles of multi-use nature trails, multiple scenic lookouts, a three acre PYO blueberry maze, and a dock on our private eight acre pond with available boat rentals. At the 2WD shared parking area guests are provided with a outdoor shower with hot and cold water, a portable toilet, garden hose for washing, a power strip for charging devices, and a spigot with potable water for filling containers. Over two decades ago we created our first campsite for the purpose of hosting family and friends. Folks enjoyed camping on the mountain so much they often would choose our farm over traditional campgrounds. Hosting campers became a regular weekend event, and to accommodate more people we created three more sites spread out across the property. In 2020, we came across the Hipcamp app and started offering private reservations to the public. Since, we have been hosting campers on a daily basis and continuously improving our sites / infrastructure / views. We’re excited to see what the next two decades hold; come join us on the mountain! Things to do on the mountain SPRING-FALL include… Hiking on several miles of maintained nature trails marked with clear signage for easy day/night navigation. Relaxing/taking in the scenery from several scenic lookouts located on and around the mountain’s summit; combined they provide a 360-degree view spanning from the NH/ME Seacoast to the White Mountains of NH, to the Green Mountains of VT. Fishing, paddling, swimming, or relaxing on our dock. Bird/wildlife watching, berry picking, stargazing and leaf peeping. This is a place you can easily spend a few days and keep busy!

The property used to be part of the old Johanson farm, it was a 200 acre dairy farm a hundred years ago. The old stagecoach road which runs through the property from Canterbury Station to Northfield Station is now part of the main trails system. The early Pony Express riders dubbed the swamp on the land "Wolf Swamp", because there were many reports of riders seeing Wolves in the Swamp. The property is very open, although the sites are very spread out and secluded for ultimate privacy. There are several great hiking trails on the property, also used by local mountain bikers and Horseback Riding. Occasionally there will be an ATV or Dirt Bike passing through. We are located in the Heart of the local Trail system. There are several great places to swim and Kayak or Canoe literally around the corner. A little pushy for swimmers. Roads dried out nicely and are passable. The wet and now June heat is bringing out the mosquitos. Bring your repellent and a Thermocell. Keeping the campfire burning helps as well. More description... Site-1 is located under the trees adjacent to our 3 acre meadow and Christmas Tree farm. Camp near the bank of the Souhegan River in the shade while listening to the river tumble over the ledges upstream. In season, enjoy the chest deep swimming hole 100 feet from your campsite. Two horses graze on the other side of the privacy fence. If you don't like friendly dogs try site 2 where we have a better chance of keeping our dog Wilson from dropping in to visit. He loves people too much not to want to greet folks on Site 1. Site-2 is at the farthest most downstream end of the property and from mid-May to mid-October it is totally screened by foliage. From your site you only see trees and the river. If you don't like other dogs, this is the site you want. Still no guarantee Wilson won't visit, but it's easier to keep Wilson away from this corner of the property. The other side of the river is town conservation land so the only people you're likely to see will be passing by in kayaks or on paddleboards. In dry season, both sites are a great place to start a float trip and you'll likely have the next 1.5 miles all to yourself since rapids up stream become impassable wet rocks in July and August. You are only two traffic lights away from the Merrimack Premium Outlet Mall if you need something to do during inclement weather.

We allow public access to the "Grassy Area", however larger camper groups that book this site have full access and are welcome to setup tents there, but no fires are allowed on the grass.. only in designated fire pit. Where to go

Mount Washington

Sitting at 6,288 feet in eastern New Hampshire, Mount Washington is the tallest peak in New England, famous for its extreme weather. (The highest recorded wind speed outside of a tornado, 231 miles per hour, was measured at the Mount Washington Observatory atop the summit.) Mount Washington is on the Appalachian Trail and visitors can hike, drive, or take the Mount Washington Cog Railway up to the summit.

Franconia Notch State Park

In the heart of the White Mountains, Franconia Notch State Park is one of the most family-friendly state parks in New Hampshire and packed with natural wonders including Flume Gorge, Cloudland Falls, and Echo Lake. Lafayette Place Campground is a nice family campground right in the center of the park, near many trailheads and top sights, with a camp store and 97 campsites ideal for tent campers. Nearby Cannon Mountain RV Park offers seven RV sites with full hook-ups and a dump station.

White Mountain National Forest

The 800,000-acre White Mountain National Forest offers some of the best camping in the state. Renowned for its mountain scenery, abundant wildlife, and stunning fall foliage, the park is home to over a thousand miles of trails that weave through the rugged terrain for hikers, mountain bikers, snowshoers, ATVs, and snowmobiles. Overnight visitors will find 23 national forest campgrounds, backcountry huts, and cabin rentals.

When to go

Summer through early fall is the best time for camping, hiking, canoeing, and kayaking in New Hampshire. Snow tends to linger on peaks into early June, and mosquitoes can be the most troublesome in July. Fall, when the changing leaves are at their peak, is an especially popular time to visit. Be sure to make camping reservations during this time well in advance. Some New Hampshire state park campgrounds, including Lafayette Place in Franconia Notch, remain open year-round, although off-season services are limited.
