This abandoned Corn Farm was purchased by Townsend Thorndike off the original family that settled the land as a retreat to get away from it all. As time went on plans to sell off some of the land came up. Townsend's son, Nick, saw how the property could be tainted with conventional development and take away from the magic the land held. So, Nick decided to move back to the homestead to create an example of what a healthy life for the land and its inhabitants looks like. Hip Camp is the first step towards sharing and opening up the land to create an ecofriendly, Intentional Community. Nick and his ever-growing tribe are creating a holistic, educational, retreat, workshop, and event center where people can come to learn how to co-exist in a harmonious relationship with nature and each other. Thank you for being a part of the healing <3 We hope to hear from you <3

Site 5 - Sacred Nectar Sanctuary
Exceptional camping experience
We stayed at site 7 and were BLOWN AWAY by the amazing view and the amenities of the camp. We feel so lucky to have stayed here! The shelter at site 7 came in clutch to block out wind and we were pleasantly surprised at how large and secluded the campsite was. Made for some super cozy camping. Outhouse was clean and had TP, sawdust, hand sanitizer. Multiple fire pits, phenomenal view of Mt. Whiteface and rolling mountains and expansive forest, trails nearby, water hose and $5 bundles of firewood outside the house at the base camp- super convenient. Nick & Ashley were so helpful and friendly, couldn’t ask for better hosts! We came off season and had a great time so we’re absolutely coming back to stay at Sacred Nectar again when it’s warmer to check out the rest and hike more. I couldn’t recommend this place enough :)

Site 6 - Sacred Nectar Sanctuary
Nick is a great host! He welcomed us even though we arrived quite late, and informed us of the amenities and gave directions to our site. We stayed at site 6 & the view was amazing! Plenty of room for the car and tent, and the firepit was perfect - the sites are all far away enough from each other that we did not hear anyone else staying at the campsites around us. The view from the site was lovely & it was the perfect distance from hikes in the southern whites - I can’t wait to stay here again!

I loved my experience at Sacred Nectar Sanctuary! Used Site 1 and was private with beautiful views! All the sites were assessable by Motorcycle (I rode my bike to all the sites!). Really a nice place, I will be back

Site 5 - Sacred Nectar Sanctuary
These sites are amazing especially the view site we were on (site 5) - we had an amazing time and visited by 3 very active moose that spend one evening hanging out with site 6. I was worried about driving my Golf R up to the site but had no issues and barely engaged my all-wheel-drive but I could see how some cars could have issues if the road was wet. Overall can't wait to go back next year and spend more time overlooking the valley.

Site 4 - Sacred Nectar Sanctuary
Late October trip, still a win!
Very spacious and great set up. Even some special areas for tents with amazing morning views. We were at site 4. Definitely need to drive to the kitchen for water and washing dishes, but easily manageable. Views are amazing and the outhouse very clean. Didn’t try the shower at the main house, but great to know it exists! Would like to come back, but then for summer when it’s warmer in the evening, but we were super lucky with the day temps (sunny and 65). Our two corgies enjoyed the site as well!

Beautiful and Well Appointed
Nick's land is astounding and restorative. There is so much to see and explore right at the Sanctuary. As well, the amenities Nick has to offer (firewood for sale, a kitchen, trash and recycling, numerous whimsical outhouses) are clean, well appointed and easy to find.

Beautiful Remote Sites
Great campsites on their own for a sense of being alone in the woods on a farm in a beautiful area. Everything you need is available. Owners are terrific and very helpful. Highly recommend!

Absolute gem campsite
The view is out of this world! And this site can fit two families, easy, with two picnic tables/fire pits and several places for pitching tents. Very secluded, well maintained. Snatch it while you can!!

Site 2 - Sacred Nectar Sanctuary
The absolute best camp site I’ve ever been to! So beautiful and unbelievably private and peaceful. Nick was so helpful - even helped me pick the site he thought my rowdy pup would do best at. We stayed at site 2, which was in between the most beautiful birch trees. The outhouse was just a few steps away. Everything was nicely labeled and very easy to navigate, even though we arrived in the dark. As I mentioned, it was veryyy private. Didn’t see or hear a single other person the other time, which was ideal for our dog. Perfect distance to absolutely everything. Can’t wait for our next visit :)

This is my favorite camp spot in all of new england. It's unique, peaceful and has the most gorgeous views. The drive up to the site feels like an adventure. As a female solo traveler, it feels safe while also being remote. The sunsets and sunrise are unreal. I stayed twice this year and plan on coming back next year with friends. The hosts are super friendly and great! Thank you for sharing your beautiful sanctuary♡

Unparalleled views and solitude.
Beautiful site, lots of space and well kept land. The on-site toilet was fantastic and the views are incredible. No other sites were in earshot, it felt like we had the mountain to ourselves.

Site 6 stay at SNS
We loved our stay at Sacred Nectar Sanctuary! Stayed at site 6 which was secluded and had a lovely mountain view. The outhouse was super clean, and we were able to wash our dishes in the community kitchen near the house. Thank you, Nick, for sharing your beautiful land. Will definitely be back!

Moose!!
The view was amazing, and there was so much room at the site. We got in late and left early so we didn't get to check out some of the things at the entrance to the Sanctuary, but everything was welcoming. We found our site easily. There were two moose that were rustling in the leaves and ended up running through our site! Overall we had an awesome time.

Camping perfection
Hands down one of the best hipcamps we've ever been to. Site 4 included three cozy nooks for tents, a comfortable bathroom, a picnic table, and a firepit with wooden blocks to sit on. The views on the valley below are stunning (especially this time of year), and you can easily hike to Mount Whiteface from site 7. We also loved taking a quick warm shower after the hike. Nick was incredibly hospitable: he welcomed us upon arrival, provided tons of excellent hiking tips, ... and helped jumpstart our car. We can't wait to return on a warmer weekend!

Site 5 - Sacred Nectar Sanctuary
This is an absolutely beautiful and serene place to camp. We spent our full stay relaxing at our campsite and enjoying the Mountain Views and beautiful foliage. I will echo others that the road up to site 5 was very steep and definitely requires 4wd/awd. We towed our small camper up the hill and it was no easy feat but absolutely worth it. Recommend bringing all you need with you to your site (water, etc.) because once you’re up there you won’t want to come down! We will definitely be back.

Unbelievable location and views! Saw a moose on the way up to the site. Road to the site is rugged, all wheel drive likely required to getting to the site. Would highly recommend this site!

A slice of heaven in New Hampshire
Everything written by the host (Nick) on HipCamp is completely accurate! The site was exactly as described and the surrounding land was exactly what we needed for a short escape to recharge our body and mind. We didn't hear anyone else around us at night, even though other sites were occupied. There is plenty of space to make you feel like you have the sacred land to yourself. Our dog loved the chance to be off-leash and run the fields and explore. We can't wait to come back!

This was a great spot with excellent views. We were really glad to experience this. I will say that if you are uncomfortable driving off road this might be challenging for you as it is quite the drive up a rather rocky area, but our 2-wheel drive car was fine going up and down.
