Please, NO pets! Thank you for reading this entire description for rules and directions on how to get to Hidden Brook. Hidden Brook is located on a small family-owned vegetable farm five minutes outside the village of Cornish, Maine. Three generations of farmers live here presently, but our family has been working this land since the mid 1700’s.  Cornish is a pretty special place to live and visit because we are about 50 minutes drive from both the city of Portland on the coast and the White Mountains to the west. There are tons of local hikes here in the foothills, two big rivers to float or paddle, dozens of swim spots, good fishing, and a lively little village with at least 7 antiques shops, local art, and some pretty darn good restaurants. Our neighborhood even hosts some of the best musicians in the world each July at The Ossippee Valley Music Festival. Yeah, we got it all going on! Come play with us or just chill at Hidden Brook. So far, we have one spot open for “glamping”, The Bus, but we will add the Wagon this fall. The Bus, an engineless 1973 Bluebird School bus is pretty pimped out. Though off the grid, cell reception is pretty good and rechargable lighting is provided. Our outdoor kitchen, on a spacious deck ( fenced in for kids ) includes a heavy duty propane stove, Yeti cooler and pots and pans. Indoors, there’s a slop-bucket sink for tooth-brushing (dishes are to be washed out on the deck ), a small woodstove to take off the chill come fall and a nice big fire pit outside. Wood is provided. Buses can get hot in summer, so we put ours in a shady little grove of ancient oaks amongst the remains of the farm’s original stonework and installed screens the full length of the bus. We built a compost-style outhouse and a beautiful outdoor shower we call “The Cold Drizzler” down in the old homestead cellar hole. Kind of a secret garden bathroom : ) Inside is a full-sized bed for one or two people and two cot-sized “75 long bunks, sleeping a total of four humans. Quality mattresses, sheets and blankets with a change of sheets and tons of pillows ought to provide a comfortable night’s sleep. Four towels and face cloths provided. Coffee and “pour-overs” on site as well as silverware, bowls and plates. All you really need is ice for the cooler and your food - or just go out to eat. Other things to note: Absolutely no smoking inside All shoes off before entering Quiet hours from 9:30 pm to 6:30 am ( we live in a small community and wish to respect our neighbors ) This is not a party camp, but a place to relax and listen to the birds. Please enjoy your music quietly. This is a working farm, but we will be as sensitive as possible when it comes to any loud machinery use like irrigation pumps and tractors while guests are around. Our dogs may visit, but are laid back once they have anounced your arrival. Directions to Hidden Brook and the Bus: You will be given directions to an address once you book but please make sure that you follow the signage to the bus carefully, otherwise you’ll end up at the wrong property. Drive until you see two giant, eyeballs attached to a telephone pole, and the bus will be immediately after that on your right. Thank you so much.

Just a short 5-minute drive down the road will give you access to the Pemigewasset River. Bring a kayak or tube and float down the river on a warm sunny day. Waterville Valley Ski Resort is located 20 minutes down the road. Other ski options close by are Loon Mountain Resort, Bretton Woods, Cannon Mountain Ski Resort, Attitash Mountain Resort, and many more. Family owned property obtained through the barter system. You shingle my barn and I'll give you that property. My Pappy's land. 11 acres. Recently cleared for its timber. With some landscaping it became clear that beautiful campsites were forming. My father is 78 years old. The last thing he ever thought he would be doing with his retirement is jumping back on his excavator. Can't keep a good man down. Now here we are. Father and daughter. One day my children. 3 large tent sites and two camper sites. Future cabin and seasonal RV sites. A brook runs through the property but dries up after June. There is a small pond with rock stairs. Deer and turkey are frequently seen. Peace and serenity. This property does not offer complete seclusion. You will see other campers if all 3 sites are occupied. There is spacious distance. What this location offers is that it is centrally located to mountains, oceans, lakes,concert venues, restaurants, nightlife, shopping and antiquing. Traveling to NH and Massachusetts is a day trip. A few hours and your in central Maine. Cross the border into Canada. So much to explore or just relax. Stay a few nights or stay the season. 2023 is off to a great camping season. Already meeting new campers. Hopefully I'll see some familiar faces from 2022. A few upgrades. There is an outside water faucet, an outlet and an outside shower...hot and a privacy fence. There is a bathroom/shed that contains a toilet. Goats are coming. Yes goats. Not until fall though. The frog pond population continues to grow. A neighboring town is finding 3 legged frogs in their ponds. Apparently caused by a parasite. Let me know if you find any. 2024 was another great season. New faces that I hope to see again. The summer weather was great for camping. A large Bell Tent and a small portable camper was purchased for those who are seeking more of a glamping experience. WELCOME BACK for 2026... 2025 had some complications unfortunately. Due to some unforeseen circumstances, I was unable to invite anyone to my property. Consider yourself invited for the 2026 season. I look forward to hosting new and repeat campers. There is a free weekend offer for those who would like to camp and work to prepare for Memorial Day weekend. WELCOME ALL!!

Please, NO pets! Thank you for reading this entire description for rules and directions on how to get to Hidden Brook. Hidden Brook is located on a small family-owned vegetable farm five minutes outside the village of Cornish, Maine. Three generations of farmers live here presently, but our family has been working this land since the mid 1700’s.  Cornish is a pretty special place to live and visit because we are about 50 minutes drive from both the city of Portland on the coast and the White Mountains to the west. There are tons of local hikes here in the foothills, two big rivers to float or paddle, dozens of swim spots, good fishing, and a lively little village with at least 7 antiques shops, local art, and some pretty darn good restaurants. Our neighborhood even hosts some of the best musicians in the world each July at The Ossippee Valley Music Festival. Yeah, we got it all going on! Come play with us or just chill at Hidden Brook. So far, we have one spot open for “glamping”, The Bus, but we will add the Wagon this fall. The Bus, an engineless 1973 Bluebird School bus is pretty pimped out. Though off the grid, cell reception is pretty good and rechargable lighting is provided. Our outdoor kitchen, on a spacious deck ( fenced in for kids ) includes a heavy duty propane stove, Yeti cooler and pots and pans. Indoors, there’s a slop-bucket sink for tooth-brushing (dishes are to be washed out on the deck ), a small woodstove to take off the chill come fall and a nice big fire pit outside. Wood is provided. Buses can get hot in summer, so we put ours in a shady little grove of ancient oaks amongst the remains of the farm’s original stonework and installed screens the full length of the bus. We built a compost-style outhouse and a beautiful outdoor shower we call “The Cold Drizzler” down in the old homestead cellar hole. Kind of a secret garden bathroom : ) Inside is a full-sized bed for one or two people and two cot-sized “75 long bunks, sleeping a total of four humans. Quality mattresses, sheets and blankets with a change of sheets and tons of pillows ought to provide a comfortable night’s sleep. Four towels and face cloths provided. Coffee and “pour-overs” on site as well as silverware, bowls and plates. All you really need is ice for the cooler and your food - or just go out to eat. Other things to note: Absolutely no smoking inside All shoes off before entering Quiet hours from 9:30 pm to 6:30 am ( we live in a small community and wish to respect our neighbors ) This is not a party camp, but a place to relax and listen to the birds. Please enjoy your music quietly. This is a working farm, but we will be as sensitive as possible when it comes to any loud machinery use like irrigation pumps and tractors while guests are around. Our dogs may visit, but are laid back once they have anounced your arrival. Directions to Hidden Brook and the Bus: You will be given directions to an address once you book but please make sure that you follow the signage to the bus carefully, otherwise you’ll end up at the wrong property. Drive until you see two giant, eyeballs attached to a telephone pole, and the bus will be immediately after that on your right. Thank you so much.

We had such a wonderful stay at this campsite! Our host Nick was incredibly accommodating and always quick to respond, it made the whole experience feel easy and welcoming from start to finish. We brought our two kids and our German Shepherd! The site couldn’t have been more perfect for all of us. The kids had a blast exploring, and our dog felt right at home. He was off leash the entire time and the second we pulled up, we ended up meeting Chaga, the friendliest Husky you will ever meet! Chaga stayed right outside our RV the entire night and waited to greet us in the morning. He and our dog Scout got along instantly. Scout did not want to leave on the last day! We had to literally drag him back into the RV lol. They will be best friends fureverrr 😂🐶🐕 It’s not always easy to find a place that works so well for the whole family, but this spot truly did. The campsite was extremely peaceful, spacious , clean, and thoughtfully set up with the most amazing views of the mountains. We also ended up using the sauna as well, which was so relaxing. I wish we could’ve stayed there longer than two days. We will definitely be back another time when it gets a little bit warmer. We highly highly recommend this location for families and dog owners! 🏕️🐾✨

Best site I've ever stayed at! Good amount of space between sites but still an easy walk to the kitchen+water, outhouses were clean and convenient with an excellent sense of interior decoration! We stayed at Birch Grove on a particularly cold, rainy, and windy Halloween weekend and Nick already had a large tarp set up over the easiest tent spot.... plus a cow skull and a few candles for the ambiance. Excellent vibes 👌

Incredible site with multiple pitches spread out around the land. We were lucky enough to be put on the beat site...on site 7 (despite booking the field site). What a view and great facilities. Fit pit with grill for cooking whilst watching the stars and white mountains. Camp cooking kitchen and shower near the main house. Fire wood for sale. Compost toilet at each site. The only problem was we wished we could have stayed longer! Look out for the friendly moose and check out the little boat on the pond. Fab site 10/10.

I loved camping on Lori's land. All the glamping tents are very private, and you have to walk about 100 yards from the car, so there is no noise at all. The outhouse was super clean and so cool inside. The bed in the tent was very comfortable and had enough room for the dog as well. The land is beautiful with North Conway only a 30 min drive for great food and coffee! I highly recommend this Hip Camp!
