Our game cameras regularly capture porcupines, bobcats, owls, herons, otters, eagles, and just about every eastern woodland animal and bird you can imagine. This spring there is a bald eagle who fishes in front of the cabin most days. We are Brad and Christine and we live further up the driveway in our solar-powered log cabin. While you may catch glimpses of the red cabin or solar array through the trees, we honor your privacy while being nearby in case you need something. We don't overlook the site directly, and you can't see us beyond the occasional glimpse or on the trails passing closer to the buildings. We drive down the driveway past the site if we are leaving or returning home, which we minimize when we have guests. We are located two miles down a gravel road, 2 miles off Rt. 16, you are 15 minutes from groceries, pharmacies, EV charging, gas, and a local campground who can arrange for you to dump your tanks. We are in East Wolfeboro, a half hour drive to Downtown. Historic Portsmouth, NH and the Maine coast are an hour away.

Please, NO pets! Thank you for reading this entire description for rules and directions on how to get to Hidden Brook. Hidden Brook is located on a small family-owned vegetable farm five minutes outside the village of Cornish, Maine. Three generations of farmers live here presently, but our family has been working this land since the mid 1700’s.  Cornish is a pretty special place to live and visit because we are about 50 minutes drive from both the city of Portland on the coast and the White Mountains to the west. There are tons of local hikes here in the foothills, two big rivers to float or paddle, dozens of swim spots, good fishing, and a lively little village with at least 7 antiques shops, local art, and some pretty darn good restaurants. Our neighborhood even hosts some of the best musicians in the world each July at The Ossippee Valley Music Festival. Yeah, we got it all going on! Come play with us or just chill at Hidden Brook. So far, we have one spot open for “glamping”, The Bus, but we will add the Wagon this fall. The Bus, an engineless 1973 Bluebird School bus is pretty pimped out. Though off the grid, cell reception is pretty good and rechargable lighting is provided. Our outdoor kitchen, on a spacious deck ( fenced in for kids ) includes a heavy duty propane stove, Yeti cooler and pots and pans. Indoors, there’s a slop-bucket sink for tooth-brushing (dishes are to be washed out on the deck ), a small woodstove to take off the chill come fall and a nice big fire pit outside. Wood is provided. Buses can get hot in summer, so we put ours in a shady little grove of ancient oaks amongst the remains of the farm’s original stonework and installed screens the full length of the bus. We built a compost-style outhouse and a beautiful outdoor shower we call “The Cold Drizzler” down in the old homestead cellar hole. Kind of a secret garden bathroom : ) Inside is a full-sized bed for one or two people and two cot-sized “75 long bunks, sleeping a total of four humans. Quality mattresses, sheets and blankets with a change of sheets and tons of pillows ought to provide a comfortable night’s sleep. Four towels and face cloths provided. Coffee and “pour-overs” on site as well as silverware, bowls and plates. All you really need is ice for the cooler and your food - or just go out to eat. Check out our site as well! Wildcampmaine.com Other things to note: Absolutely no smoking inside All shoes off before entering Quiet hours from 9:30 pm to 6:30 am ( we live in a small community and wish to respect our neighbors ) This is not a party camp, but a place to relax and listen to the birds. Please enjoy your music quietly. This is a working farm, but we will be as sensitive as possible when it comes to any loud machinery use like irrigation pumps and tractors while guests are around. Our dogs may visit, but are laid back once they have anounced your arrival. Directions to Hidden Brook and the Bus: You will be given directions to an address once you book but please make sure that you follow the signage to the bus carefully, otherwise you’ll end up at the wrong property. Other ski options close by are Loon Mountain Resort, Bretton Woods, Cannon Mountain Ski Resort, Attitash Mountain Resort, and many more. Owl's Nest Resort is located just on the other side of the highway. Spend the day on the golf course or playing tennis/pickleball on their platform tennis courts. Host was great. Location is close to many hiking trails, rivers and lakes. Wagon is private and easy to get to. The wagon it self is super cool! Like a gypsy wagon and very cozy. I highly recommend it!!

My friends and I had a lovely, peaceful weekend staying at Sandi and Brandon’s property! The tent was roomy and equipped with everything we could have needed. We had some chilly and wet weather, but we stayed dry and cozy in the tent with the wood stove going. We loved watching the horses graze in the pasture in the evening and getting a tour of the barn. We also enjoyed walking the trails on the property. They were very welcoming hosts, but we also had a lot of privacy, and we would not hesitate to visit again!

We loved the star gazing site 1! The views are beautiful. The property was awesome. There was a ton to do especially with young kids. The hosts built a very cool fairy playground along the creek. Childhood heaven. It was nice having our dogs off leash. The camping sites were very well maintained. We had an overall amazing experience and commend Nick for his kindness and integrity. Wish we could have stayed longer!!

Weekend Trip to Tuttles Homestead

We had such an amazing weekend at Mark and Trish's cabin. They we such great hosts and the cabin and site were fantastic. They truly seem to care about managing the property. Mark told us that they built the cabin themselves from materials primarily sourced from their land. Mark took time to show us around and said we were free to explore the land and any of their buildings. There were also plenty of wildlife sightings. We saw deer and there were so many birds. It was incredibly peaceful. There are lots of hiking and swimming spots nearby. And although we did not use it, there is a bathroom with a shower. On our way out, Mark gave our kids a couple of toys that he makes. Fucking kick ass time and we definitely plan on returning.

This is such a hidden treasure I almost don’t want to share how beautiful it was. From creature comforts like a wood stove in the tent, supplies for cooking, dishes, extra blankets and the cutest and cleanest outhouse you’ve probably ever seen. Sandi’s thought of everything! I overpacked. The property is rustic, gorgeous, well maintained and coming to life with even better amenities. Camping on steroids with animals, adorable dogs, and wonderful humans.

Kinda pricey as far as camping goes, but this ain't your average camping. Just a big ol beautiful, natural, whimsical playground. Nick and other family/staff we came across were all wonderful people. The furry farm dog Chaga is an absolute delight. Epic sauna experience was indeed epic. Zip line was a fun little discovery wandering the grounds. Wish we could have had more time there, and boy do I hope to come back in the fall. Can only imagine what it's like then. Recommend gunning for sites 4 or 5. Views were more open than site 6, but ultimately you can't really go wrong.

Loved our spring stay at Sacred Nectar! Our second time camping here, but first time in a field site. There are three dispersed campsites in the field, we chose #3 (upon entering the property, there is a no-contact campers check-in lean-to with a map, so the field sites were easy to find; theres also great wood bundles to buy here, cash or venmo). Camped for a weekend in late April with a toddler and two pups, all who loved the visit from camp dog, Chaga! Incredible scenery, star gazing, nice picnic table and fire pit. We had a truck Camper, as well as two tents, and two other suvs, plenty of space! Only found a few ticks and there were pine trees around us for shade when needed. Highly recommend Nick's place!
