This is a beautiful piece of property located in the heart of the Finger Lakes and Wine Country of NY. It features a stunning spring fed waterfall and nice forest land. Very close to town but also very secluded and private. Great place to unwind and relax from our everyday lives. It is situated however in a gully next to a creek and waterfall so it is susceptible to heavy rains. It is recommended to at least have an AWD vehicle if rainy. I can usually help campers with getting to the site in my side X side if you need to park up at the pasture. Please order enough wood initially as I have found I spend a lot of time delivering extra wood to campers. It seems as if you will typically go through 2 bundles per night on average. Also I supply a contractor size garbage bag to you if you choose garbage removal. It is also a good idea to text me when you have a solid ETA so I can be here to take you to the site. I want to mention that the two sites closest to the waterfall are a slight hike in and can only accommodate up to 4 person tents so if a bigger group or vehicle camping you will be placed at another site. My property is about 70 acres of wildflower meadows, ponds, organic grain farm and forest located about 10 minutes northwest of Ithaca and 20 min from Finger Lakes wine trails. Enjoy walking along the dirt road and mown trails throughout the property, wild raspberry and blackberry picking, bird and wildlife watching and some incredible sunsets! Pooh's Corner lies in a rural area just 1.5 miles from Watkins Glen. (3315 County Road 28, Watkins Glen, NY 14891). We took great care to make sure each campsite is PRIVATE (parking on-site*) and the trails are easily navigable. Our 'Welcome Shed' is equipped with a compost toilet, local information, (newly added) Hot Water Station, first-aid kit, charging station, bug spray etc. and is located in a safe, well lit, open area on the property. Each site is equipped with a fire pit and comfortable seating with tables, chairs, and/or picnic tables and tripod grills. Firewood is available on a donation basis.
There are State Parks and places to hike one of the many gorges around beautiful Seneca Lake and surrounding area. Take a tour of the many wineries and breweries which our region is famous for. Enjoy hiking, swimming, biking, kayaking, and many historical sites to see. Our reviews tell it all. We know you'll love it here :)
*PLEASE NOTE: Our sites are custom made for TENT or CAR camping. Because we have "parking on-site", Large RVs, Campers (over 16'), and any 5th-wheel campers are very difficult to place since there are no easy ways to back in or turn around. We highly recommend "Havana Glen State Park" (same general area) for those types of camping units.

We adjoin 150 acres of nature conservancy lands that nobody seems to know about. These lands are for respectful public daytime use. We have three camp sites on a 200-acre parcel of secluded, rural farm land. We are a working pasture based farm where you can see how grass fed beef, pork, chicken, and eggs are produced. There's nothing quite like fresh eggs and bacon after waking up to the sunrise over a fog-filled valley!
When you arrive we will provide a complimentary carton of pastured raised eggs and you are welcome to visit our web site (redhouseranch . net) or store to order meats for your stay and/or to take with you upon your departure. We have a wide variety of grass fed beef, pasture raised pork, snack sticks for long hikes, and dog bones and smoked treats for your furry friends. Many of our items are well suited for campfire cooking. Keep in mind that all our products are frozen so be sure to plan for time to thaw. If you're not sure what that involves - we're here to help.
We are a working farm but, much of our property is not grazed or farmed. You are welcome to explore the entire area while also getting a glimpse of sustainable, pasture-based, farming methods. Learn more about us and the history of the farm at our website.
As you roam the hills and forests you'll eventually bump into some of our animals. Please do not enter the animal enclosures or touch any of the electrified fence lines. If you really want to pet a piggie or hold a chicken - just reach out to Ike or Dave and we will gladly arrange this for you.
Red House Ranch is also the perfect spot for wildlife enthusiasts and bird watchers. During your stay you may encounter eagles, blue herons, coyotes, turtles, wild turkeys, foxes, the endangered bobolink bird (its unique call sounds a bit like R2D2), deer, great horned owls, and many unique plants. It's not uncommon to hear the coyotes howling at night.
In addition to hiking trails with incredible views, there are four ponds on the property easily accessible with mown paths. One is very large with a dock and suitable for swimming, paddling, fishing, or just relaxing but the water. The other three are smaller and are now primarily wildlife habitat. easily accessible with mown paths
If you're feeling adventurous, there is a more strenuous hike down into the creek bed where you can find miniature versions of the gorges and waterfalls that our region is known for. We are happy to provide maps and guidance or leave you to your own devices.
When skies are clear our area has very little light pollution and excellent star visibility. It's a great place to view the night sky during a meteor shower.

This is a perfect

The pictures are over a few years and when you get there the hay could be high, it could have just been cut.

We had a great time camping on Sharon’s property! Pitched our tent in the pine forest which provided great shade and kept us cool in the heat, made great use of the pond too! Sharon was accommodating and responsive. Had a great time with her dogs too.

We had such a wonderful time here! My husband and I realized our kids were at camp for the week and we could actually get away and tent for a night, just the two of us. Sharon was very accommodating even though I booked a little last-minute.
It was such a sweet little property - I would’ve been happy staying at any of the spots, but we chose the top one with the best view, and the sky was showing off as we set up camp!
Then, after dark, the fireflies were just stunning!!! It was so peaceful - just what I was hoping for. I slept great (this is saying a LOT - I sleep light and almost never sleep great when we are camping, especially at “campgrounds”). This was my first time using the HipCamp app, and I stumbled across it quite by accident…but I am SOLD. Not having noisy people 15 feet away partying when you’re trying to sleep is just amazing.
We also enjoyed the quiet this morning as we got up and made breakfast over the fire.
It was also very handy having a port-a-potty onsite, for convenience.
10 out of 10 recommend this lovelyyyy spot. And we may be back again.

This was a great place to camp! The site had lots of options for where to set up. There was a picnic table and fire ring and lots of trees to hang a hammock. The view is stunning, especially the sunrise. The hosts are super helpful and welcoming. I was solo, but it would also work for a group. I got to feed treats to the cows, which was a fun bonus. I am usually looking for privacy/solitude and this location was perfect for me. There are also many great places to visit within a short drive.

We had a fantastic stay at Matt and Sheryl’s property. They were incredibly kind, welcoming, and went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. We were running much later than expected and didn’t arrive until around 1:00 a.m., yet they stayed up to meet us, guide us to our campsite, and make sure we were settled in before calling it a night.
That level of hospitality really meant a lot after a long day on the road. The property was exactly what we were looking for, and it was clear they genuinely care about their guests having a great experience.
We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful place with exceptional hosts.

My husband and I camp quite a bit, and this was one of the best sites we’ve been to! So peaceful and private, with lovely amenities. We enjoyed walking and biking the well mowed trails. And be sure to visit the beautiful fiber studio for luscious products made from the goats on the farm.

Beautiful weather and even more beautiful scenery. We love our long weekends at Red house ranch. This was our 3rd year camping at site #1 and never have any complaints. Dave and Ike are excellent hosts and we are already looking forward to our next visit.

Peaceful, Easily Accessible, and Everything you could ever want for a camping getaway. While we spent our weekend in tents and hammocks, it was so convenient to be able to bring our vehicle directly to the site for the sake of unpacking. The upper and lower levels of the site were so clean and well taken care of. Plenty of firewood provided, along with chairs, a firepit, and picnic table.
Cannot say enough good things about this site. Would definitely recommend for any level or style of camping!

The campsite was beautiful and secluded. We had to drive through a field and down a very short but very steep hill to get to the site. It was dry so we didn’t have any issues. Very close to Ithaca and all the state parks. We would definitely stay here again.

Very nice and relaxing place. Well taken care of nice mode groom trails. Camp host was very nice very helpful by telling me places that I can bring my son in the area for hikes walks and to see local waterfalls. I would definitely recommend this place to anybody.

Beautiful property! Wish I would have had more time here but the sites right by the waterfall are wonderful. I had site 1 with a great view of the waterfall. Enjoyed sitting around listening to the soothing sound. Also 9 minutes from Watkins glen state park. 10/10 campsite!

Third time staying here, and it was great as always, super clean site and property, access road is well maintained (although steep and recommend 4wd, they make sure its always safe) host is super accommodating as always and makes sure your stay is going as planned, and the pond up top is perfect for fishing or swimming. (Be sure to check out the hike to the waterfall too, I check it out every time I stay here)

Love this campsite so much!!!
Tommy and his wife were such giant sweethearts with great recommendations for the area.
You can easily tell they really love the family they’ve built, all the animals included.
We only stayed for a night as this was a halfway point in our road trip but in just the few hours we were awake we saw and incredible sunset, had great conversations with the owners, got to give treats to cows, bulls, and goats, and end the night with some stargazing. I actually had to remind my partner that we were waking up early because he was enamored with the stars.
The campsite was very very clean, had a ring for a fire pit and was close to the bathroom. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a fun stay or even a quick stop
