A yurt! With goats!
I had a fantastic weekend at Stoney Goat! Gary was a fantastic host, as were the goats, Rhea the dog and Soot the cat. The yurt was spotless clean, and super cozy. The wood stove kept me toasty at night. The close proximity to Seneca Lake was a bonus, as well.

A dream!
Stony Goat Homestead is the sweetest, dreamiest, loveliest space. Our host Gary was so kind and welcoming. My partner and I kept warm all weekend between the wood stove in the cutest yurt and the fire going outside. We cooked, went for walks, hung out with goats and cats and a sweet pup. We toured the garden and got to milk a goat and Gary shared some offerings with us along with his visions for the space. He is truly an inspiration! We can’t wait to come back ❤️

Cozy and unique stay with goats!
This was one of my favorite hip camp stays! My partner, dog and I stayed two nights in this cute bell tent. Gary meets you in his driveway with a family of goats! He was generous to offer his hand to carry our stuff if needed. Gary was very accommodating and provided extra little details that just made this stay very convenient and cozy. We were aware of the walk to the tent from the car when booking it so we were mentally prepared to make the trek with our stuff. There was a cooking area and fire pit right by the tent which was convenient. We spent most of our time inside the tent with the wood stove (a very awesome bonus!) or outside the tent around the fire. The tent was very clean when we arrived. Gary provided wood for us to use for the wood stove during our trip and we brought two bundles of wood, for the larger fire, with us. We walked further up the hill to use the composting toilet and to see the stars at night. Gary brought us fresh eggs which we cooked for breakfast. Gary stopped in to check if we needed anything but was very respectful of our space and privacy. The tent faces away from the back of their house so there was added privacy with orientation. We would definitely stay here again and would highly suggest booking this spot.

Camping with goats!!!
Gary and co were nothing but helpful and friendly the entire trip. The trees were beautiful and they had a medley of animals along with the goats! They allowed us to use the yurt when it got cold on one of the nights and they helped us carry stuff out from the site to the car. This campsite is an excellent place to choose to unwind and relax for a couple of days, this site is definitely on the top of our list if we go camping again!

We are beyond grateful to have found Stoney Goat! The atmosphere was perfect and Gary was more than helpful. The goats were just as friendly and super fun to watch. The yurt campsite was set up with a wonderful welcome basket, that included fresh vegetables and eggs! Gary was a wonderful host and has a great vision for his properly. Next time, we have to remember to pack a bit lighter. Although the path to the yurt is very doable, it can be a lot with your hands full. Gary offered his help many times and was very attentive. We realized we didn’t even need half of the stuff we brought up anyway!! It was the perfect little getaway we needed! We can’t wait to come back and see his visions come to life!! (and all the animals, especially the goats!!)
