This little cabin was a nice retreat away from home for a few days. Having bedding provided was a nice touch and the bed is very comfortable. The parking is not far from the cabin (maybe 50-100ft) and the driveway was even plowed very shortly after a few inches of snow fell during my stay. There’s a fair amount of yard space available, great for playing in the snow this time of year, and the steam right outside the cabin door is a pretty sight and sound every time you exit. This cabin is also perfect for anyone who doesn’t like dealing with a wood stove to keep warm, instead a gas radiator controlled by a digital thermostat keeps the cabin warm exactly how you like it, a very surprising but much appreciated bonus I found out after arriving. Overall, this cabin was fantastic, warm, and cozy, and I would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for somewhat easy cabin camping in the winter.

Beautiful property and so convenient to not have to put up my own tent. The tent is wonderful equipped with a wood burning stove. I camped on a reeeealllly cold & windy night so it was nice to have my Mr. Buddy heater to supplement in the middle of the night when I didn’t feel like tending to the fire. I didn’t have time to explore the other paths and I’m so bummed because it looked like an amazing place to frolick! If you are a star gazer, this is your place! The hosts were so amazing and very accommodating. I appreciated the fire!

The site is tucked back in hidden from everything but a field. The tent is great and the wood stove worked wonderfully once we remembered how vents work. The bed was quite comfortable but pick your side wisely if you are over 6 ft. The outhouse seems brand new and the short trails around the property are a nice morning walk. We were comfortably warm in the 30s, except for when I let the fire go out. Will definitely be stopping by again when it warms back up.

This place is pretty remarkable, because I’m sure you’ve never considered camping in New York City. The positives: easy to get to without a lot of City driving, plenty of space, electrical hook ups, safe section of town, bathrooms with toilets and showers, shockingly quiet at night. The Wi-Fi was fast and steady and it was good enough for me to have zoom meetings. The negatives: most of the sites aren’t actually numbered so you just sort of pick one but everyone who arrives looks very confused, the parking lot surroundings aren’t very beautiful and there’s a lot of weird stuff being stored in the parking lot from the gym next-door, and the bathrooms aren’t great. But, come on, it’s New York City. You’re not staying at the Ritz and this definitely is not the Ritz. This is absolutely the least expensive way to stay in New York while sleeping in your own bed. The subway is about four blocks away and it takes about 25 minutes to get to Manhattan. I absolutely loved it and will definitely be back.

This spot is a hidden gem — peaceful, private, and beautifully maintained. The site has small walking trails that are great for a quiet morning stroll or an evening walk to unwind. Everything feels thoughtfully designed, from the setup of the site to the little touches that make your stay comfortable and relaxing. It’s also conveniently located — only about 10 minutes from town, with easy access to gas stations, Walmart, and McDonald’s if you need to grab anything. You get the best of both worlds here: the calm and privacy of nature with the convenience of nearby amenities. We had a wonderful stay and left feeling refreshed. Highly recommended for anyone looking to relax, recharge, and enjoy a bit of nature without being too far from town!

We were looking for a place to stay close to our Catskills hike. We really enjoyed unplugging in this cabin. There was a cooler of water waiting (we did bring our own as indicated, but it was nice that there was some already there), plenty of firewood, picnic tables, and while we were happy to snuggle up in our sleeping bags, there were clean soft sheets, pillows and comforters on the beds. Very clean porta-potty. William lives a short walk away and couldn’t be nicer. The two cabins are a little close, so you are not really secluded from other people staying there. Would be great to take both as a larger group. Wish we could have stayed another day!

Stayed solo for 3 days and 2 nights in one of the tiny house..really chill spot. Host was nice. The land’s natural and rustic, not fancy but pretty. Kitchen, bathroom, and shower are outside and shared with others (different but fine). Cute animals and fresh eggs for sale. There’s a bike trail with a lake right across the road! perfect for a ride. Tried Threshold and Innes nearby, 30min ish ride..both were solid. Overall, a laid-back solo escape in nature.

The cabin is located on a quiet dead end road, this cabin sits at the head of the Neversink River unique area and offers activities such as hiking, fishing and hunting. There are a variety of bars and restaurants located in the small town of Rock Hill, as well as our local Farmer's Market every Saturday only during the summer months. The cabin is a short trip away from the local grocery store, a five minute drive to Resorts World Casino and Holiday Mountain Ski and Fun Park. A twenty-five minute drive to Bethel Woods Center for the Arts (sight of the 1969 Woodstock Festival). OTHER DETAILS TO NOTE: Please respect our non-smoking policy. There is absolutely NO smoking of any kind allowed in the cabin. A $200 charge will be applied if you do smoke inside to cover the additional cleaning costs. No Drugs or illegal activity. No Smoking or vaping. No incense or candles. We always like our guests to know ahead of time that there is mild to moderate vehicle and foot traffic near the hiking trails during the day. As this location has become more and more popular, the individuals who come to hike, bike, fish, hunt, etc. are required to parallel park their cars on the opposite side of the road. However, our property is private and clearly posted, and may only be used by our guests. The cell phone service is very weak when you first arrive at the cabin however, once you are connected to the WiFi you should have capability to call and text. This campsite is nestled in the deep woods of a 120 acre farm that offers beautiful views coming and going. After being allowed to use the restroom at the stone farmhouse, you will then go rustic and start your 3/4 - 1 mile hike in (approximately 20 minutes to the campsite) past the fields and pond down the path into the woods. The trail is remote and you will instantly be able to leave the sights and sounds of civilization behind you and breath the clean forest air. Wear good hiking shoes because portions of the hike are uneven and rocky. This site is best for experienced campers who know how to pack light with just the essentials as there is no tractor service to this campsite. When you arrive at the campsite, you will be within 20 feet of a year round stream with brook trout and in a hundred foot tall hemlock canopy nestled between two brook meadows. A 9,000 acre forested preserve abuts our property so you will be able to completely relax, bird watch, enjoy the wildlife, or fish for a brook trout breakfast without hearing the sounds of anyone but yourselves. The campsite has a stone fire pit, split log benches for seating, a canvas privacy blind around a stand of trees where the composting toilet resides, and a food bag lift to attach your food and trash bags to about 100 yards from the campsite. Unlimited Split firewood is free next to where you will park that you can take down to the site. All trash needs to be carted out with you. We can't accept mixed trash as it will attract animals that will knock over the trashcans and make a mess. No food goes in our personal trashcans as we have learned this the hard way. It all started when grandfather Charles B Wright first establish this farm in 1904. He purchased it for its natural springs. In our barn (now home to Gardiner Brewing Company) he had gravity fed water troughs for his cattle. Since then we have slowly switched from animals to tree fruit. You will enjoy rolling hills of fruit trees and fruit gardens along with beautiful views of the Shawangunk Mountain Ridge. We have 450+ acres so it in very private. As we are a working farm, you can see us driving pass with our tractors or maintaining the orchard around your campsite on occasion. You are welcome to ride your bikes, hike or jog where you will pass ponds and a working farm landscape. Please don’t pick our fruit. If you would like to enjoy the fruits of our labor please visit our farm store open year round on the premises where we sell cheeses, our fresh picked fruit and veggies, local meats, and our famous cider donuts along with other farm products. We also have a farm brewery open 3-7 in our old dairy barn for you to enjoy. Live music Saturdays and Sundays. Minnewaska State Park and Mohonk Reserve are only 10 minutes away. The rail trail is three minutes away. This trail gives you walking and biking access into New Paltz, where there is tons of restaurants and lots of shopping. Please be aware that during the months of September and October there may be a Pick-Your-Own customer or two walking around picking apples around the campsite area between the hours of 10:00-6:00. Wild animals such as deer, raccoons, fox, owls, hawks, humming birds, bald eagles and more have made the land their home. Fireflies tend to take over in the summer months, its a beautiful thing to see. It's the perfect place to get away and enjoy nature all while being close to restaurants and downtown Olean if needed. Enjoy cooking on our rustic fire pits or light a fire to just enjoy the crackling sounds and warmth at night. A safe place for kids to run around, enjoy family time and the simple pleasures Mother Nature has to offer. It's perfect for anyone who just wants to get away and immerse themselves in the country. We have 2 camp sites ready right now both come with a fire pit. One is more secluded which is campsite #2 and the one with the valley view is campsite #1. Showers are seasonal. The last day for shower use is Oct 15th. You’re more than welcome to bring your own portable shower hook up and use the shower house for privacy. We apologize for any inconvenience. You will need to have a cigarette lighter access to use the shower to power the pump. We recommend bringing flashlights as our property is solar powered and there is no electric on the property. On low sunny days, solar lights may not last as long into the evening. On rainy days the property can be very muddy and access to the top of the hill to the sites would be best accessed with a 4WD vehicle as well as winter time with snow on the ground. If you'd like to charge your phone we advise you to bring back up battery packs as there is now electric hook ups on site. The most private sites are Cloud 9, Bunny Pit and Lilou's Landing. The cottage is located down by the main house and not at the top of the hill. Pets are welcome, please clean up after your dog. * No firearms or explosive devices of any kind are allowed on the property.

Nestled at the headwaters of the picturesque Nissequogue River, this 627-acre park stands out for its breathtaking views of Stump Pond and its diverse range of cultural and recreational activities. Visitors can immerse themselves in nature while enjoying miles of scenic trails that cater to outdoor enthusiasts of all levels. Stump Pond, formed in 1798 by Isaac Blydenburgh and his cousins Joshua and Caleb Smith, was created when they dammed the river to build a grist mill. This historic damming flooded the riverbanks, resulting in the pond's unique name, derived from the tree stumps that still emerge from the water's surface. A highlight of the park is the 5.7-mile loop trail that encircles Stump Pond, made accessible by a newly constructed boardwalk through the surrounding wetlands. Hikers can follow the trail marked with white or blue arrows, and guided hikes are periodically organized by the Long Island Greenbelt Trail Conference, which has its headquarters within the park. Additionally, visitors can explore the Blydenburgh Farm and New Mill Historic District during guided tours offered every Saturday at 1:00 PM.
