This was my first time using HipCamp, and my husband and I loved this site! The grounds were well-maintained, relatively secluded, and the view was beautiful. The people who run the farm are so kind and accommodating; we got a flat tire in the morning, and someone came out to help us try and pump the tire with air! And when it didn’t work, they did point us to the Mavis Discount Tire close by.
We didn’t really bring very much in ways of food and instead opted to buy ingredients from the farm market - we got a lovely roasted garlic, roasted red pepper and broccoli rabe pork sausage, some onions, peppers, homemade pesto, and mushroom ravioli to make for dinner and it was all delicious. The apple cider donuts are a MUST - probably some of the best apple cider donuts we’ve ever had. And we sat in the barn brewery for a bit and had a nice beer. The pumpkin beer was phenomenal!
There’s a porta potty that you have to drive to from the site. This site is probably the farthest one from the toilet, but it’s definitely worth it for the view. The porta potty is SUPER clean and there’s a little foot-operated sink with soap outside.
My only con was that we could hear some music (from an undetermined location), but it wasn’t very disruptive and not necessarily in anyone’s control.
All in all, this was everything I had hoped it would be, and now I have delicious sausage and donuts and cider at home.
