Great for people who LOVE!! animals
We had a fine time overall and can roll with a lot, but there are definitely some things future campers should be prepared for. The listing description is technically accurate, though it didn’t quite prepare us for just how immersed in the animals we’d be. Most of our waking hours involved shooing away cows and goats — some of whom were very persistent about staying put. One goat even decided my buddy’s tent, while it was being set up flat on the ground, was an appropriate place to use the bathroom.
We also weren’t prepared for how many other campers would be on-site. There were at least 10 groups there during our stay, and only about half the fire rings appeared occupied, so it seems the area can get quite busy.
That said, the owners seemed genuinely nice and were clearly trying to create a fun and unique experience. If you absolutely love animals and don’t mind them being very up close and personal, this may be the perfect place for you — the animals are definitely not shy. But if you’re looking for a quiet, private camping experience, you may want to consider another spot.
Again, we still had a good enough time, but with a more direct description of the atmosphere and setup, we probably would have chosen differently.
