We are a 15 acre farm on the shores of Swan Lake with plenty of campsites sites on the property, accommodating tents, mid sized campers and RV's. No children under 16 please. Depending on how crowded we are, privacy varies, but on most weekends you can be out of site of other campers. Many campsites have fire-pits already, but you're welcome to make your own anywhere you'd like. While camping, you may be visited by over 100 friendly, free roaming FARM ANIMALS! (We just had BABY GOATS born in early May and expect more at the end of June!) You may feed the animals anything you bring, but please don't let them eat plastic bags! We cannot offer reimbursement for tents damaged by animals. This is extremely rare, but it CAN happen. If you do not wish to put your tent at risk, please do not camp here. The farm was once an old bungalow colony and has some glass and metal still in the soil. Please wear shoes. Firewood is available at several locations around the farm. There is a heated sink and shower in the back corner of our main camping area. Boats are available at our lakeside dock, so you can boat to our corner store or venture into the wild north end of Swan Lake. There's a tall mountain for hiking and an awesome secret swimming hole, both within a 10 minute drive. Enjoy a child free visit, as we do not allow children under 16 years old. Follow us on Instagram or Facebook: @beaverwoodfarmersOur 15 acre farm has both a wooded area and lakeside pastures. We have plenty of sites available to accommodate tents and small RV's.  There are many fire-pits, a hot shower, flush and composting toilets and 2 sinks. There is firewood for sale at several locations around the farm. Two wheel drive should get you to just about any site. No children under 16 years old allowed. On the farm we have over 100 friendly, free roaming farm animals including: our donkey, cows, sheep, goats, all with babies in the springtime. The animals are NOT fenced in here, so they come right into your campsite. We cannot offer reimbursement for tents damaged by animals. This is extremely rare, but it CAN happen. If you do not wish to risk your tent, please do not camp here. Also, we get quite full and busy on holidays, so plan accordingly. Upon arrival, we will greet you, but then let you be for the remainder of your stay.   If you'd like to explore our local area, you can take a canoe or kayak to our corner store, or drive to Walnut Mountain (for 100 mile views) and The Gorge (our secret swimming hole) just 5 minutes away. Camp with Friendly Farm Animals
Best camping near Bethel Woods Arts
Beaverwood farms is the best Hip Camp I have stayed at. Farmer Paul and Marilyn are beyond accommodating as well as simply nice folks. There is a freedom of camping here: Choose where you want to set up, drive up to any spot on premise you choose, use firewood from the rack is you choose (don't forget to stuff cash in the honor system pay box on rack), pet, feed, hug or ignore the 100 free roaming animals. Goats, pigs, calfs, sheep, geese and chickens (they indeed do what chickens do at day break) are abound. Baby goats love hot dog buns and scratches under their chin. Now, the proximity to the music venue Bethel Woods Arts Center (original location of 1969 Woodstock festival). 12 miles down the road and most concerts Paul organizes a shuttle ($20 round trip) so feel free to have a cocktail or 3 before you head to the show then a cocktail or 3 during the show with a safe ride in a mini van back to Beaverwood Farms. I used this two nights for two different shows and the shuttle was as fun as the concert. This is the real bonus of staying: Ground beef from their cow avail thawed upon arrival or frozen upon leaving. Meat from a butcher is sooooo much better than grocery store meat. I highly recommend it. I bought both thawed and 3 LB frozen for the road. Don't miss the secret swimming hole. It is a must. The flush toilet is clean, the hot shower made me feel like a new man and charging station kept my camping fans 100%. I would give them 12 stars if I could. See you again soon!

Hit Confirm.
This is a great place run by the most wonderful couple. If you can stay an extra night to do activities from the farm... highly recommend. Otherwise, expect very caring hosts who will make sure you have everything you need for a great stay including secret local spots.

Camp with Friendly Farm Animals
We love BeaverWood!!!
We loved our stay at the farm! So many friendly animals…as long as you are careful with your snacks, you will have a great time. Loved taking the kayaks out on the lake and the gorge was GORGE-OUS! Shuttle rides to Bethel were such a special treat. Thank you for all of your hospitality; can’t wait to come back with some friends!

Camp with Friendly Farm Animals
Great hipcamp!
We had a great time! It was our second time camping here and we enjoyed it as much as the first! We came to see Willy Nelson at the outlaw music festival at bethel woods. The hosts were very accommodating and we enjoyed being around the animals! .

Camp with Friendly Farm Animals
Overall great experience - especially the hosts and their friendly farm animals. Unfortunately, our plan was last minute and it ended up thundering on a super hot day. So the mud and animal poop along with the mosquitos ruined our experience. My suggestion is to have a few flush toilets and showers in the middle of the farm for easy access, especially when it’s dark at night, with no lights. Also, suggest having more picnic tables as some camp sites did not have one. Also, something should be in place to prevent animals from knocking off tents and food.
