Joanna’s sites are beautifully and thoughtfully laid out. The airstream was comfortable and fun to sleep in. Joanna was communicative and helpful. We saw turtles in the pond, a barred owl, lotsa birds and deer walked by too.

I recently stayed at Tilden Hill Farms Campground in Vernon, NY, and had a fantastic experience! The campground is set on a beautiful 155-acre farm with lovely sites by the lake and plenty of activities. The hiking trails were fun and well-maintained, offering a great way to explore the area. The improvements they’ve made are evident, and the place is incredibly clean. I highly recommend it and can’t wait to go back!

What a magical place. We decided to book a trip for our son’s 5th birthday and the site was everything a little boy dreams of. From the bunk beds with true tree limbs to the hidden beds above the kitchen area- it was perfect! It is certainly thought out and a lot of love was put into the building process. Jeremy was great with supplying firewood and amble cooking equipment which made it easy to not have to leave for anything extra one may need. Highly recommend paying a visit!

Weekend Trip to The 1772 Lefevre Homestead

This was my first Hip Camp stay. The land was as advertised (great open and private property, friendly cows, and a great view). The weather turn out for the worse on our weekend but as seasoned campers we made the best of it. My friend and I talked about coming back at some point with the family and make a bigger trip out of it.

We absoultey loved camping at Ken's property. The grounds are excelent and the waterfalls and creek are majestic! The campground is right near the center of town so nothing is ever too far away. Ken is a great host. Hands off but available to answer all of your questions and ready to help with whatever problems you may have. This place is defintely a 10 out of 10!

We had an amazing time at Mike’s camp, even when it rained one night! There was plenty of firewood available, and the space was vast enough to accommodate a large group. We were upgraded to Phoenix Landing, which is more secluded and away from road noise—definitely a great spot for a peaceful getaway. We visited at the end of winter and could already tell that the area would be lush and beautiful in the summer. There’s a nice walking path on the property, perfect for a leisurely stroll. While there is a bathroom and shower on-site, we didn’t use them since we were only there for two nights and brought our own setup. The campsite was clean and well-maintained, and the land at Phoenix Landing was leveled, making our tent setup super even and comfortable for sleeping. There’s also a platform available, but we opted for a more primitive camping experience. We met Mike at the mushroom factory, and he was incredibly accommodating, friendly, and polite. Checking in and out was a breeze, and whenever we needed to communicate, he was always available and responsive. Overall, we had an awesome experience and would highly recommend this spot!

Really enjoyed our weekend, listening to the sounds of the waterfall while soaking in the mineral tub!! Everything was exactly as we hope for!!! Sam was an excellent host!! It got pretty cold but the tent stayed nice and warm. Oohhh the stars we amazing twinkling through out the trees. Hope to come back again when it’s a little warmer and try out one of the other sites on this beautiful property!!

We have 40 acres with miles of trails through the property. It is located on the hudson valley wine trail so there are tons of wineries to access. We are in the mountains with great climbing, next to a state park. The campsite is on top of a massive boulder that looks out over the grounds with tons of wildlife surrounding. On a dead end road in the middle of the woods with no other houses within sight. ***PLEASE NOTE: BATHROOMS ARE CLOSED FOR THE SEASON. A little bit about us. This is a small campground. We do have one Glamping site as well as well as a super luxurious pool house available. We rent small retro RV's as well, see our other listings!! There are 40 acres here to explore with small streams, wetlands and forests. We have 4 modern brand new bathrooms with a hot showers in a beautiful new bathhouse with a charging station for phones and tablets. Its pretty amazing!!!!! Sacred Waterfall & Quiet Camping

NOTE: THIS IS A QUIET CAMPING AREA for reconnecting with nature. Not suitable for parties or loud groups. For generations, the majestic waterfall has been revered for its spectacular beauty and power. It is considered a sacred site that has been central to local land rematriation work with the Kanienkeha:ka, also known as the Mohawks, the original inhabitants of the Schoharie Valley. Coursing between two outcroppings in a deep ravine, Kahonrakén:ra Waterfall crashes down over mossy rock shelves into a hidden pool, which then empties again into the river, running into emerald swimming holes and through dramatic clay beds. The effect is transporting. Truly, it is one of those extraordinarily beautiful spots on earth that makes you feel like you are in another world. There are two tiny cabins on the property. They are both accessed by separate footpaths through the forest, below an old red barn, surrounded by ash and walnut trees, singing birds, deer, wildflowers, and wild medicines. One cabin is in the forest, just beyond a grass circle clearing. The other is down the hill through a wildflower grove. Both sites have extra space to set up a tent if needed. The Forest Cabin is insulated with hemp, has electric lights and outlets, is bigger inside with a work desk, has Anderson crank out windows, has a bigger deck, and has two twin mattresses under the bed if you need them. The Wildflower Cabin is a bit deeper in the forest, a little smaller, uninsulated with two walls of old-school wood-pane windows that open out to the forest completely, one twin mattress under the bed and a powerstrip for light electric use. Both sites have private fire pits, solar shower stalls, fans for cooling and an oil filled electric heater for chilly nights. We do not allow partying. There is a profound healing process happening at the waterfall. At the request of the original caretakers, we ask that you to respect the sacredness of this land. Thank you! It's about a 10 minute hike down the gorge to the waterfall from the campsites. Each campsite has a private path down to the waterfall, where you can spend the day swimming, exploring the clay beds and looking for fossils in the 280 million year old gorge. In the evening, make a campfire at your fire pit and fall asleep under the stars listening to the waterfall and the river below. Be aware that the hike is steep and appropriate footwear is required. All hiking is at your own risk. Although your path to the waterfall is private and the waterfall is on private property, there may be other guests or locals that access the waterfall further down the road. There is no glass or alcohol allowed at the falls. Please be aware that you may hear your camping neighbors in the woods. For this reason, we ask that you don’t play amplified music and to keep noise down after 10pm so that your camping and local neighbors can chillax and enjoy the evening sounds of frogs, crickets, owls, and night songs of the countryside that makes Schoharie so special. In the big red barn at the entrance to the campsites there is a community room with a charging station, cold water sink, mini fridge, coffee maker, grills, and a port-a-potty for your use. There are also 5 gallon solar shower bags that you can use at your campsite. You are responsible for filling them and putting them in the sun to heat the water. :) This is a leave no trace campsite. Please take all your trash with you when you leave. And please bring your own biodegradable soap for dishes and toilet paper for the port-a-potty! Firewood is available onsite for $1 per log. Instructions for payment are in the community room next to the red silo at the barn. The wood is stacked at next to the red shed just uphill from the barn. You can also buy your own fire wood en route. We recommend that you buy kindling at the gas station on your way in. The Schoharie Valley is said to be the most fertile valley east of the Mississippi. It is still wild, unspoiled country and there are many local farms with fresh produce and organic meat within 5 miles of the house. There are several farm stands and a general store a few miles away, Scrumpy Ewe Cidery, Panther Creek Arts, and the Sap Bush Country Store and Café just up the hill in West Fulton. Mustang Valley, a wild mustang sanctuary and rescue center, is just down the road. Nearby hikes include Looking Glass Pond and Vroman's Nose, among many others.

This land was the homestead of the very first non native settler of the area, John Wiley, in 1787. Before that, it was the land of the Mahican native Americans. They named it "valley of the butternut trees", or Wyomanock. The Wyomanock Creek is the backbone of this little valley. Beaver have dammed the creek at several points to create ponds and other wetland features that support a diversity of wildlife including otter, moose and a myriad of birds, from osprey to herons. This sanctuary is host to many uncommon native plants and plant communities. We would love to share it with you! Your host, Thom, invites you to property to explore 75 acres of meadows, woods and water. Choose one of several sites either in the woods or open areas. You are also free to use our outdoor solar shower or take a dip in the cold pond or artesian spring fed pool. The rolling creek, a feeder searching for it's mama - the Delaware River - runs down the mountainside and over the rocks to give power and life to the falls. The steady flow makes you think you are far from civilization. But not really - only a short hike and you travel from the falls to a dirt road to a paved highway in a matter of a few minutes. Over thousands of years and a few hundred year floods nature has made this wonderful cave-like formation under and behind the waterfall. The flat rock is a great place to picnic and enjoy the tranquility of the water. The trees surrounding the area make a fitting canopy for this unique campsite. The mountain behind is great for climbing and a short walk down the creek will get you to the base of Jensons Ledges. The ledges are a steep hike up a mountain to a spectacular vista. Definitely worth the time and effort it takes to get there. Come visit our slice of paradise - you will be glad you did.

After exploring the 90 acres of hardwood forest beyond the park we realized an eco friendly camp ground was exactly what the property needed. Ben sourced only local wood for the cabin and used all natural building materials. No plastic anywhere! our hope is that people who need a break from the hustle of daily life can visit Minglewwood and enjoy some serenity.Our sweet little cabin is about a quarter mile into the forest. You will have total privacy. The cabin sits beside a little creek which runs till late summer depending on rain. There is 90 acres of beautiful forest to explore.
