Site 2 - In the Pines at A Farm for All!
We had a rough night due to some other campers playing music on their speakers and singing until real late at night. It’s not exactly the hosts fault but I kinda wish they would enforce some common courtesy. The creek was pretty dry, which wasn’t that surprising since it’s a drought, but we had hoped to swim.

Wholesome
It was awesome to stay at the farm. The host Tori was very kind and friendly to talk to. I really enjoyed the fire pit and the medical herb tour. I was surprised to see how much utility the plants growing all around us have. I would be careful with bringing your pet though because of all the ticks in the area!

Tori met us when we arrived and directed us to our campsite. There was a 3 minute hike up a fairly steep hill along a well marked path to get to the campsites (FYI you need to hike your gear up). Once you arrive, there are 4 clearly defined tent sites, a very well established campfire setup and a composting toilet. Nestled under the treeline, on higher ground, we were quite comfortable during the one night we were there.

We came at a weird time when the host was not present, so kind of missed out on a lot of the features! Other than that it was just what we needed for some truck camping. Make sure to bring flashlights, especially if you'll be arriving after dark as the layout isn't super intuitive if you havent been there before. You'll want a way to keep bugs away from the entrance of your tent or camper shell, as we got swarmed by gnats and flies so thick they were hard to see through. Not a problem until you realize they all pour into your space when you open it haha. A trick if that happens, a light pointed in the corner all night kept them confined to mostly one area! Definitely a pretty, peaceful getaway for the night

Beautiful night under the stars.
My hubby and I decided last minute to go camping so I thought I would try this app. There are 3 different areas to camp, very basic but beautiful. The Pines is up a hill so it’s not for car camping, but Tori gave us a choice of the other two areas which are out in the open to see the beautiful sky. We had a fire pit and the sounds of a nice stream to sleep to and sit by. There is no bathroom but a very basic latrine setup. Tori is really layed back and accommodating getting firewood and offering to start a fire for us.

We had an amazing stay at a farm for all! We actually ended up staying in the wooded area of the farm, and it was amazing! The grounds are beautiful and easily accessible, we were provided with wood and water and a great composting bathroom. I highly recommend staying here!

Away from noise of Brooklyn
It was a little closer to the road than I would like, but very convenient to some great hikes in the area.
Tori and Ben were super nice and our tour was very informative.

We thought Tori’s HipCamp site was great. Tori was helpful and accessible. The space was more than adequate and semi-private. I loved sitting around the campfire for a few hours and listening to the hooting of an owl throughout the night.

We had a great stay at The Pines! The site is secluded in lush trees, complete with a great composting toilet and excellent shared fire pit. Tori was very hospitable and showed us around the property, which includes a trailhead and a sweet babbling brook. Tori also gave us a few tips in the area, like the must see Dover Stone Church — a river cave just a few miles away. We had access to potable water and firewood for purchase. We had a great time and would love to return to this site in the future.

Super accommodating host!!!
We booked this site the same day we arrived. I was worried that we hadn’t planned ahead well enough but our host, Tori, was quick to respond and super accommodating. The location was very convenient since we just needed a place to camp for one night en route from NY to RI. We arrived after dark and it was already pretty late but there was firewood waiting so we were sitting next to a cozy campfire in no time.

Lola's Paradise at A Farm For All!
I had a lovely and restorative weekend at Lola's Paradise at a Farm For All. Despite the very hot temperatures, my friends and I were comfortable sitting next to the babbling brook in the shade. We kept our eggs, fruit, veggies, and drinks cool by placing them in the brook while we chatted. They were chilled, even though it was over 90 F (!!!) that weekend.
The area, which is close to the road, comes with a fire pit. The farm has a roadside stand just when you pull in. We bought and enjoyed cucumbers, nectarines, and radishes. We paid the extra amount to have firewood. The hosts were very helpful, and came to help get the fire started.
There is bottled water when you check in and a simple but functional composting toilet for use.
You will want to bring your own toilet paper and definitely something to ward off those chiggers.
All in all, I would come back here with my friends to enjoy more weekends next to the brook this summer. We are planning a second trip and look forward to coming back!
Thank you to all -- Ben, Lola (!!!), Tori, and the farm volunteers!
Lola's Paradise at A Farm For All!
We had a great time at the campsite, mostly because of the fantastic cool brook that flowed through this part of the property. It was convenient to be able to buy firewood after we got there. Being close to the road was less than ideal, but we had a canopy shelter with a side wall that gave us a bit more privacy. We didn't explore much but still managed to discover some hungry chiggers, so be sure to change clothes and rinse down if you camp here!

Beautiful Field, Stream and Sky!
Lola is a little dog who hangs out with Tori. My friend and I had two wonderful nights in the very pretty and private field at this hip camp. My two dogs enjoyed the stream right near our spot (very magical) along with the mowed paths in the field. Tori was very accommodating and came to check on us and show us where to park. She even left flowers in the outhouse. She brought us paper in a basket for our fire and wood. We really felt cared for! Upon arrival, we were shown where the water was, but we had brought our own. We were also shown a trail system right in back of the main house where we checked in, that the very nice microgreen farmer Ben showed us. Ben also was the person we communicated with and it was clear and great communication. Ask to buy his greens! They were delicious.
The only negative here is the road/car noise. Tori mentioned that there is a quieter area for tent campers but we needed a drive up site as I have a rooftop tent. The hiking trail was OK but watch for a lot of poison ivy, especially at the start of the trail. It would have been better if it was mowed more to alleviate concern when walking through potentially hard to spot PI in the weeds/grass. Since I have dogs, I could not fully relax and would not use the trails again for that reason. I know there are some wonderful other hiking areas close by (Kent Falls, Housatonic State Park) but due to our type of camping with our bed on our roof - we had to stay put and access places that we could get to on foot. This is a wonderful Hip Camp, overall.
