a simple get away.
I stayed at camp site #3, the tent area was well prepared and flat, the picnic table and fire pit area was a little bit of a cluster, but suited me and my dog just fine. they have a charcoal grill as well as the fire pit so that's nice. there was also a nice view of the sunset.

Campsite felt private and peaceful. We arrived in the dark but it was easy to find with the directions given and the signs helped. You are not directly camped next to the river but have a lovely overlook. If you're very careful you can walk down the steep hill but there is no direct path to the river from the campsite. I believe the path is right next to the outhouse (~3-4 min walk) but didn't have time to explore. The outhouse was clean and smelled pleasing. You can hear the crickets and quietness, with some car noise here and there but not bad. I would definitely come back.

Amazing camping site for family🏕
We loved the site we stayed (Site 1)! It was on the hill and we had a gorgeous river view. The best thing is that the site is not far from NYC.
There’s a cone maze which has ninja worrier slopes and opens until 10 pm! Paul was friendly to chat. Sarah responded to my texts immediately.
There’s a restaurant across the river which is far enough not to be bothered. However, if you’re sensitive with noise and sound, you might wanna pick another campsite in the same property. We didn’t mind at all tho.
We would definitely come back!

Very helpful owner answered and give us advise on everything we needed to know to have a great time. I would definitely book again. My son loved the place. The town was also lovely and the stargazing was great.

Cozy lil yurt of dreams
This was the perfect little glamping spot for us to crash in after a gorgeous day hike. Sarah was super helpful and responsive as we prepared for the trip even allowing us to check in a little early. The yurt was clean and spacious and there were even some games a sleeping pad and a little surprise from Sarah which we weren't expecting. It was easy enough to find especially with her helpful instructions and the view of the river and the stars was lovely. The only challenge was that the site was on a bit of a graded area so arranging chairs to sit around the fire took a bit of finagling and the sleeping spot is just SLIGHTLY slanted so you might slip down a bit by morning so it's something to be aware of if that would present a challenge to you. But it was a great stay and we'd definitely stay again! Thank you Sarah!

Spacious tent and beautiful views
Quiet country camping in a big spacious tent that overlooks a beautiful river. Perfect spot to explore the area, and host was very accommodating and responsive.

Casual with Lots of Space!
Loved this site. It sits atop a hill overlooking a river. Site 1 was great because of its proximity to the out house and it’s size. To add the out house was one of the cleaner ole fashion out houses I’ve ever used.
Friday night we had the whole place to ourselves, Saturday night there were campers using the other 2 nearby sites, but we barely noticed they were there.
Loved Sarah’s flexibility, we had to book the site the day before a planned trip because of a bad experience/problem with another hipcamp host. Sarah was casual and a great host for big or small groups of campers! We’re planing another trip soon!

We had a very nice time. The camping site is very charming, with a beautiful view on the river. Sarah's directions were very clear. We could hear the sound of cars but it wasn't loud at all. We definitely recommend this camping site.

Camping by the river 🏕
I loved camping at Sarah’s site! Everyone was very hospitable, felt like it wasn’t the first time we camped there, very homey. The property is really nice and the river is extremely close to the sites which was a plus for us. Host was very easy to get in touch with and they were knowledgeable about activities in the area. Would 100% book again and recommend!

Riverside Nook
Campsite 3 was a sweet little nook the trees at the end of the property overlooking the river. Morning sun shines on the picnic table and the site is sort of divided into 2 sections, one part for tents, one for hangs. The outhouse was shockingly clean, fresh smelling and stocked with everything you'd need!

Sarah’s land is beautiful, especially the river path ☺️ She prepared everything well, and there were some unexpected niceties in the yurt—including some games and cards to play by the fire. She was very communicative, a great host!

Overall Sarah was helpful and responsive. It was a beautiful site but unfortunately we were rained out and there was little we could do about coverage. The ramp down to the river was a little steep and dangerous but it was beautiful. I wish we could have enjoyed it but Mother Nature doesn’t always cooperate unfortunately.

We had a great time the site was very convenient and clean the kids had a great time playing with swings sets and fishing on the river host was very kind and responsive…location is great as it is located in an area that has close shopping restaurants and still private. Highly recommended!

Our family loved Sarah’s campsite. We stayed at site #2 and had the most pleasant time (even requested an extra night, to spend some more time by the river). The surrounding nature is beautiful, fish was splashing in the water, wild ducks and other birds were circling around. Look no further, if you want to get private camping and let yourself unwind.

Camp Site #1 was very spacious and had everything you need for a large family. Enough space for 2-3 tents, picnic table, fire pit, gas grill (which we didn’t get to use), a small playground for the kids, etc. The outhouse is just around the corner as well. When I needed some firewood to burn, Sarah was kind enough to bring them over within a half hour so. The only downside (with no fault from the site owner) was that there was some kind of reception going on at a winery across the creek that Saturday we stayed there. They had the party music going until around 10pm, so we were “enjoying” their DJ’s music selection, rather than the crickets and the sound of the nature…. Next time, we’d be checking their event schedule before booking this site. :-). Otherwise, a great spot for a quick getaway.

Camping in the Hudson valley
We camped for two nights at Sarah’s campground and had a great time. The site felt very private and was spacious, and was half shade half sun with a great view of the river. There was a charcoal grill ready for use as well as an umbrella which came in handy for the sunny afternoons. It says walk in site but don’t worry it’s right there; you park your car right at the edge of the site. We got lucky with clear nights and had great views of the stars. Sarah and her dad were so nice and helpful, giving us ideas on things to do and where to get delicious, locally grown produce. We would definitely camp here again.

Good camp site right on the river and not far from surrounding towns. Caught a bass while fishing in the morning time and the available kayaks were a bonus. I would go back.
