Terrace Farm Phoenicia

This was our second stay here and it is consistently the most well cared for, beautiful, and peaceful Hipcamp I’ve stayed at yet!! Thankful for the fresh yummy eggs and wonderfully cut firewood!

Relaxing private campsite in the woods. Well set up with a flat spot for tents, nice fire pit, big picnic table, water jug, box for food storage, and a composting toilet all on site. Far away from other campers, right in the trees, very natural. We loved hearing the owls at night.

Clean sites, easy for tent set up. Composting outhouse are clean and don't smell. Great access to Catskill Mountain trails. Third time staying here. Adele and family are great hosts.

Absolutely Beautiful

My husband and I stayed at The Hemlock site for 3 nights. We agreed that it was the most beautiful site that we have ever camped at. It was clean, secluded and well laid out. The bathroom was spotless and beautifully constructed. The extra touches- well seasoned firewood, water for cleaning, and wagon for moving gear were much appreciated. Adele really thought of everything!

This is my favorite hipcamp location yet! The seclusion, privacy and trails were perfect my dog and I to unplug for the weekend. I definitely plan on returning! Hosts were very communicative leading up to my arrival and am grateful for the farm fresh eggs from such a hardworking farm.

Really nice alternative to a public campground. 3 spots back in the woods at the foot of the mountain, each spot fairly well isolated from the others. Well maintained compost toilet and fire ring. They provide a jug of non-potable water for washing, etc. Nice short trail on property. Enjoyed it!

our site was lovingly prepared for our arrival! firewood under a tarp, clean composting toilet, water, bear box and so much more! area is beautiful. just be aware no verizon service.. which we loved! great experience!!!

Fantastic campsite with plenty of privacy, at the Beachwood site. HIGHLY recommend. We heard a coyote houl in the night and it was cool! Don't leave food out overnight, of course like any campsite.

Perfectly secluded

I went camping with my son and a good friend of mine. We had the site at the dead end of the road which was perfect.( Not my cup of tea seeing or hearing others when camping) Nice set up with the outhouse, picnic table and fire pit. Not to far from the town but you wouldn't be able to tell. We had a few furry (Bear- Coyote) friends visit over night. (Nothing the car alarm didn't handle). All in all we will definitely revisit. Perfect spot for those going to hike in the surrounding area like we were. Our spot farthest back at Beechwood was nice and private, definitely need a vehicle that can safely handle the bumpy dirt path up and down. The compost toilet outhouse made it more comfortable but still that real camping experience lol. We didn’t encounter any wildlife besides spotting some chipmunks and toads but we did hear a call both nights (9/10pm) we couldn’t identify. Sounded like one loud, whoop/howl/hoot like a person whooping almost, hasn’t matched any bird or mammal ID we’ve tried to google! Overall a great weekend camping trip spot and Adele and her little dog co-host were nice during our brief encounter.

We loved camping at the Maplewood site. Adele checked us in and showed us the way to our spot. The space was beautiful and private. It rained a bit, so being able to rent the pop up was so helpful.

A woodland paradise!

We loved camping here! It is secluded but a well maintained woodland, and the composting toilets were such a nice luxury. At night we heard bears rustling around, bobcats calling, and owls hooting and hunting! None of the animals came close to our camp, but I can imagine they may have gotten curious about us if we hadn’t followed Adele’s advice on keeping a clean camp and storing all food/personal items/trash in the car or bear box. Overall, this was a great spot to unplug and become one of the forest creatures. We can’t wait to come back! Thanks Adele!

This is the second time I have stayed at Adele's place. The sites are well constructed with softer wood chippings as a base. You can actually get tent pegs into the ground. And the outhouses are great! Clean, smelling of fresh cedar (I believe). You also have good space between each of the three sites. Adele and he family are very nice. It's a great place to base for Catskills' adventures.

Adele’s campsite was private, well maintained, and a great location. There’s a hiking trail right off the site, a camp toilet, great table for food prep, and a nice sized fire pit. We had a lovely time and will definitely come back!

Secluded campsite in the Catskills

My friends and I had a fantastic weekend on Adeles farm. There are three hip camp sites on the property, but they are completely separate and secluded. The compost outhouse was so clean and well maintained. We received some firewood and a large jug of water. Bring your own drinkable water! There was a wagon to move your things from the parking spots to the campsite, very thoughtful. The farm is minutes away from Main St in Phoenicia, which has everything you need. A lovely little town in the Catskills. I will definitely stay at Adeles in the future.

Perfect private camp site

My group has been camping together for the last 20 years and this was our best experience yet. The entire site set up and location was perfect with the most privacy I think we've ever had. The hosts could have easily fit in 20 sites instead of just 3, but that's what made it great. The entire site had a blanket of saw dust for comfortable sleeping, great fire pit and heavy picnic table, and the firewood was at the site waiting for us. Their family gave us a great introduction and were always available if something was needed, but other than that let us on our own in the woods. Direct access to a nice hike w/ good views, and walkable to downtown Phoenicia as well. We will definitely be back and would recommend to anyone.

Wonderful Find!

We had a family camping trip here. We had the big sore and it easily can fit 4 tents spread out. A great central area to gather together. Very private and quiet. Not you cannot drive into the actual site. There is a parking area a short walk away.

Loved this site! The area was well kept and quiet. One note, Apple Maps will take you towards campsite, but you check in at a close, but different address.

Adele was a wonderful host-super communicative leading up to our stay and then showed us the ropes once we arrived. The campsite was great (outdoor outhouse was super tidy and more than we expected) and the wood chips at the camp site were great. We saw one big bleak bear around dusk (as we were told we would!), who didn’t bother us. Would highly recommend and definitely hope to go back!
