This picturesque family farm is conveniently located just 80 miles from both Manhattan and Albany. Riverside Farm offers 1600 feet of direct river access, ponds, rolling meadows and woodlands. You’ll have 50 acres of freedom to enjoy at your leisure. There are convenient walking paths cut throughout the property to help guide you. The farm is yours to explore, check out the beautiful, historical barns, old school hand water pumps, the old-world windmill and other hidden treasures. We hope you enjoy Pooh's Corner as much as we enjoy having all of you great Hipcampers sharing our beautiful Fingerlakes Region with us.
Pooh's Corner lies in a rural area just 1.5 miles from Watkins Glen. (3315 County Road 28, Watkins Glen, NY 14891). We took great care to make sure each campsite is PRIVATE (parking on-site*) and the trails are easily navigable. Our 'Welcome Shed' is equipped with a compost toilet, local information, (newly added) Hot Water Station, first-aid kit, charging station, bug spray etc. and is located in a safe, well lit, open area on the property. Each site is equipped with a fire pit and comfortable seating with tables, chairs, and/or picnic tables and tripod grills. Firewood is available on a donation basis.
There are State Parks and places to hike one of the many gorges around beautiful Seneca Lake and surrounding area. Take a tour of the many wineries and breweries which our region is famous for. Enjoy hiking, swimming, biking, kayaking, and many historical sites to see. Our reviews tell it all. We know you'll love it here :)
*PLEASE NOTE: Our sites are custom made for TENT or CAR camping. Because we have "parking on-site", Large RVs, Campers (over 16'), and any 5th-wheel campers are very difficult to place since there are no easy ways to back in or turn around. We highly recommend "Havana Glen State Park" (same general area) for those types of camping units.

Ugly Apple Farms is a diverse place. We have opportunities for farm classes, pick your own veggies and more. We also have 1800 feet of access to the Neversink River.
We recommend four wheel drive for some of our sites so please ask about them.
We are an off grid farm with access to some solar for charging. We have tent sites and room for campers. Our camping is primitive but there is access to potable water and sanitation if needed. All extras are first come first serve if not reserved in advance. We love and welcome any questions!

Towner's Country Paradise started out as a wild forest and pasture for cows in the 1940's, owned by Llewellyn Towner. In the 1960s, Llewellyn's love for aviation led him to construct a small airstrip and hangar, and then his son Terry began to plant Christmas Trees (no more cows) and clear much of the land. By the early 1970's our main and largest pond was built and since that time our fully functional cabin, several more fish ponds, roads, trails, running water and generated electricity have been added. Christmas Trees are still grown and harvested by Terry's son Scott Towner. Slate Valley Trails and Merck Forest are close by. Places to picnic, enjoy the sunset, and idle are a plenty. Our farm stand is stocked with seasonal produce, jams, eggs, and bagged ice. This land was once all pasture for grazing animals.
We moved to Delaware County in November 2018 to start our family and pursue dreams of working on the land. The initial idea was to find a place we could live, garden, and raise a few animals while hosting guests and sharing the land with visitors. When we found this place on Williams Road, we loved the mix of rural and proximity to a thriving country town. We now have two kids and enjoy living in Delhi so much we hardly leave the town limits! There are wonderful restaurants, a great year-round farmers market, grocery stores, and many other services and amenities you can find listed towards the end of this guide.
Our Catskill Mountain home is situated on a historic early 19th century farm site. Parts of the house might be more than 190 years old! With several additions and upgrades we think the house has lots of charm and enjoy the many modern touches. The property is overgrown pastures and a few steeper slopes with medium growth trees. After the industrial period saw this region nearly deforested, the land was granted to settlers who cleared fields and planted grass. Our immediate vicinity was knows for it’s cattle (Bovina), mostly for diary, and sheep. The agriculture in Delaware County has been on a decline since the advent of rail shipping opened New York City markets to farms in less challenging geographies. Construction of the NYC fresh water system (DEP Watershed) may have contributed to this decline, but about 60-70 years ago the majority of pastures, especially less productive parcels were abandoned to the “weed trees”. These first succession trees grew quickly in the sunny meadows and covered the hills; trees such as Ash, Hawthorn, and Norway Spruce. Fences and barns were left to return to the earth. On our property the stone walls that boarder the fields are the most stark reminder of the intensive agriculture practiced here.

We have three camp sites on a 200-acre parcel of secluded, rural farm land. We are a working pasture based farm where you can see how grass fed beef, pork, chicken, and eggs are produced. There's nothing quite like fresh eggs and bacon after waking up to the sunrise over a fog-filled valley!
When you arrive we will provide a complimentary carton of pastured raised eggs and you are welcome to visit our web site (redhouseranch . net) or store to order meats for your stay and/or to take with you upon your departure. We have a wide variety of grass fed beef, pasture raised pork, snack sticks for long hikes, and dog bones and smoked treats for your furry friends. Many of our items are well suited for campfire cooking. Keep in mind that all our products are frozen so be sure to plan for time to thaw. If you're not sure what that involves - we're here to help.
We are a working farm but, much of our property is not grazed or farmed. You are welcome to explore the entire area while also getting a glimpse of sustainable, pasture-based, farming methods. Learn more about us and the history of the farm at our website.
As you roam the hills and forests you'll eventually bump into some of our animals. Please do not enter the animal enclosures or touch any of the electrified fence lines. If you really want to pet a piggie or hold a chicken - just reach out to Ike or Dave and we will gladly arrange this for you.
Red House Ranch is also the perfect spot for wildlife enthusiasts and bird watchers. During your stay you may encounter eagles, blue herons, coyotes, turtles, wild turkeys, foxes, the endangered bobolink bird (its unique call sounds a bit like R2D2), deer, great horned owls, and many unique plants. It's not uncommon to hear the coyotes howling at night.
In addition to hiking trails with incredible views, there are four ponds on the property easily accessible with mown paths. One is very large with a dock and suitable for swimming, paddling, fishing, or just relaxing but the water. The other three are smaller and are now primarily wildlife habitat. easily accessible with mown paths
If you're feeling adventurous, there is a more strenuous hike down into the creek bed where you can find miniature versions of the gorges and waterfalls that our region is known for. We are happy to provide maps and guidance or leave you to your own devices.
When skies are clear our area has very little light pollution and excellent star visibility. It's a great place to view the night sky during a meteor shower.

Great access to the Roaring Kill Trailhead and to the Devil's Path Hiking Trail. If you're looking for some water activities take a short drive to Colgate Lake. Site guidelines Do be careful driving on the dirt jeep track out to the camp. Don't miss swimming in the Roaring Kill Falls. Do leave the campsite just as you found it. "Don't feed the bears." Seriously, do keep a very clean camp. Do ask questions about local activities- swimming holes, hiking, etc. Please take all trash with you, leave no trace!

Staying on Heather’s land at Slateville was such an amazing experience that my friends and I got to share. The drive over is beautiful and scenic with farms upon farms rolling past you. Heather was an amazing host and more than accommodating, the farm shop and extra camping gear she provided was super helpful. When we arrived she lead us to our site through her land, the drive up the hill was exhilarating, you could see everything from up there. The site itself was breath taking, we were fully secluded and rarely ran into any other campers. The quarry site is spacious and everything is provided. My group and I were blown away and had the most wonderful stay. Would go again, Homies trip 2027

Love the spot and the folks who allow us to stay on their land! Couldn’t ask for a better camp spot. Slept under the stars and woke up to the sound of the running water in the creek. Will always come back

This is my second year in a row going to this set of sites. It's incredible. The sites are super private, clean, and has an incredibly nice porta potty! The privacy allowed us to bring on our reactive dogs that were able to be off leash. I highly recommend these sites with this host! We'd definitely like to come back a third and fourth year!

Wendy has created such a peaceful little space on her magical property. Wildflowers, trails through tall grasses, a beautiful stream where my four year old believed the fairies live, and endless stars. The practical and bonus amenities are so thoughtful and helpful: outdoor kitchen fully stocked with pans, coffee making supplies, an outdoor shower (with heat if needed!), and a great composting toilet. Ellie, Beau (our dog), and I had a lovely fire with on site wood (for $5) and made s’mores before falling asleep to the sound of the stream. Trying to figure out how I can come back every weekend!

We loved our stay!! Great campsite for setting up tents. Super clean porta potty. Loved the sound of the river while relaxing by the fire and sleeping at night. Great proximity to hiking and lake beaches. Overall great trip and we can't wait to visit again!

John and AC's spot is perfect if you are looking for a quick getaway that gives you good access to lots of nearby hikes. Nice and secluded, and John gave us all of the info we needed - and even lent us a ground cloth as we forgot ours. Definitely will be back.

Lovely site above the river with trails leading down. Very private, though East camp is closer to neighbors. Not luxury camping but a very good campsite with most of what you need. We were there for the hottest days of the summer (temp hit 100) and the site was the coolest place to be, shady but still caught the breeze. The massive thunderstorms, and the tent and other tarped areas held up well. Overall a very positive experience despite less than ideal conditions.

We had a wonderful time (again!) at the Big Indian Wilderness Camp. It is a gorgeous spot - a clear field with views of the stars at night plus a creek is not an easy find. We love the double bunk bed setup and everything was clean and ready to go. Thank you for sharing your land.

We ended up extending our stay, and once again Matt and Sheryl went above and beyond to accommodate us. Our original site was already booked for the next night, so Sheryl helped us switch to another campsite. She even let us move our gear over early that morning, even though check-in wasn’t until much later.
That flexibility made the transition so much easier and allowed us to enjoy the day instead of worrying about logistics. It’s clear that Matt and Sheryl genuinely care about their guests and do everything they can to make your stay enjoyable.
We had another great experience and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Highly recommended!

We had a fantastic stay at Matt and Sheryl’s property. They were incredibly kind, welcoming, and went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. We were running much later than expected and didn’t arrive until around 1:00 a.m., yet they stayed up to meet us, guide us to our campsite, and make sure we were settled in before calling it a night.
That level of hospitality really meant a lot after a long day on the road. The property was exactly what we were looking for, and it was clear they genuinely care about their guests having a great experience.
We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful place with exceptional hosts.
