Highly recommend The Shack!! Had such a wonderful weekend with friends and family tenting out on this beautiful piece of land. Inside the shack it had a nice loft bed, sink, shower, small fridge/freezer, heater, and a clean outdoor outhouse. It was so fun to be able to roam this large piece of land and watch the sunset. This is a really great place for those of you who want a more private place to camp out with tents or simply stay inside a quaint, beautiful cabin.

The Shack
Probably one of the best spots I've found for astrophotography. You have an open sky to do your sessions. Clear view of the Milky way. I was just unlucky with the weather during our stay.
Cabin is also well equipped. Heater, microwave, shower, utensils, water, shower essentials. You can book it as a staycation cabin and you are okay.
We'll definitely be back.

The Shack
We had such a great stay at The Shack! It was exactly what I was looking for. The cabin was very clean and had everything I needed, including a fridge, microwave, sink, dish soap, and even a shower, which was a nice surprise.
Jan was a wonderful host. She stopped by after I arrived to make sure I had everything I needed, which immediately made me feel welcome. She was also quick to respond whenever I had a question.
I traveled with my dog, and he had the best time. The farm is huge, with plenty of space for dogs to run around. One of my favorite parts of the trip was just lying in the grass with him, looking up at the sky and enjoying the fresh air. The sunsets were beautiful, and on clear nights the stars were amazing.
Thank you, Jan, for sharing such a special place. I’d happily stay here again and would definitely recommend it, especially to anyone traveling with their dog.

The Shack
Stayed at the shack for two days with my dogs. Enjoyed my time so much! Lots of privacy and so much land for my dogs to run. First night it poured, the sound of the rain while laying in bed made the shack even more cozy. Will be coming back! Jan is such a sweet host!
The Shack was wonderful! Jan communicated with us quickly and everything was prepared for us upon our arrival. The property and privacy were so peaceful. Our experience was 2 adults and 2 dogs and we would definitely come back! Thanks for sharing Jan!!

Jan’s land is great. We set up at her highest point in the middle of the hayfield. The sunset was spectacular and the stars were unreal at night. My dogs loved being off leash and roaming the property.

Our site was in the middle of a huge field overlooking the catskills.
Everything is clean and really wonderful. I would recommend this site to anybody.
The camping site offered a truly serene escape from the everyday hustle. Its privacy was remarkable, allowing for a sense of seclusion and intimacy with nature. The well-maintained grounds and facilities only added to the overall positive experience. Furthermore, the tranquil atmosphere made it easy to relax and unwind. I would highly recommend this camping site for anyone seeking a peaceful retreat.

Campsite was beautiful, great location and views, we came in at around 10 pm but jan was still available and and graciously showed us up to the site. Will definitely come again!

The Shack
We loved the place, our puppy had a blast running in the open field!
An amazing setting and well built little cabin! Jan was generous about letting my younger son and his friend camp out in the feild while the adults stayed in the comfortable cabin. If you plan on cooking with more than one pan, (pasta, rice, etc) maybe bring your own stuff. Jan was very nice to bring us an extra pot for cooking since there was only one supplied. Better yet, just plan on grilling on the Blackstone grill which we’d never had the good fortune of doing before this, but it’s a perfect accompaniment to the well appointed cabin. The land is incredibly beautiful and quiet and we’re only sorry we didn’t get a chance to see more of it while we were there. Next time we want to check out the farm and the livestock! Thanks for such a great family weekend!
We really enjoyed our one night stay at Jan’s property, despite the rain! She took us to the campsite and made us feel right at home. The campsite is awesome, big open sunny field all to ourselves. Beautiful mountain views and a sky full of stars. We will definitely be coming back!

This was a very special place and was exactly as described. Spectacular view and very quiet. Great trip.
Awesome place with an amazing view. Cabin in the small size but the view makes it.all worth it.
The scenery beautiful and the shack is cozy with pretty much all the necessary appliances and refrigerator. The outhouse was very clean and there was free wood to use. Jan was very welcoming and kind. I would go there again and recommend the place to anyone getting away from a busy life.
What a special place. The shack sits right on the edge of some woods at the top of a hill overlooking a huge field and rolling hills. Jan came and greeted us in the morning and we shared some great conversation. It was so peaceful, quiet, full of solitude there, and the shack was perfect for two to feel cozy and spread out a bit. Thank you!
This is a wonderful shack with even better views. We loved letting the girls run in the hay field. Having the Blackstone really allows you to take advantage of cooking all of your food at the same time. Jan and Dennis were very welcoming in giving my girls a tour of the livestock and allowing us to get fresh cows milk right out of the bulk tank. 10/10 would recommend this experience.

This was our second time at the Shack, we really enjoyed this little cabin, the views are wonderful and the vibe of the place is awesome. This cabin has all what you need to getaway for a weekend.

The Shack
The Shack is settled overlooking a green, well maintained valley. With the loft mattress and futon, 4 of us were able to sleep comfortably. Stocked with dishes, cookware, simple fridge, and the propane flat grill, all you need to bring is your own food to cook. Up the hill just a short walk further, some produce was even sold for a steal so bring a few dollars to leave in the cash box to enjoy. Jan and her husband Dennis were kind and welcoming. We really appreciated how they took time out of their day to let us tour their barns, see the two day old calf, and share in storytelling and knowledge of their family owned dairy farm.
Looking for a peaceful escape, you’ll be sure to find kindness and calmness at the Shack.
The Shack was a perfect getaway. My dog loved the lawn, the kitchen was well appointed and the bed was comfortable. Jan was easy to communicate and was very kind. Hope to return!

The Shack
What a slice of heaven! The view, sunset, and the stars were breath taking! This shack had a bunch of little amenities you needed for cooking! Microwave, mini fridge/freezer, keurig, and toaster. Also, hot water and shower! Our three dogs loved parading the fields. The black stone grill is a BONUS! We will be back again... if you are thinking about booking- DO IT!
