A great spot to come and camp high up on a hill. Pitch a tent and enjoy the solitude of camping in the middle of a hay field, under a huge oak tree. In the middle of farm country. From time to time you may smell a little cow smell or hear/see a tractor drive past. However, there is nothing greater than the smell of fresh cut hay in the summer breeze. Deer graze in the fields surrounding the house.

The Shack

The Shack is settled overlooking a green, well maintained valley. With the loft mattress and futon, 4 of us were able to sleep comfortably. Stocked with dishes, cookware, simple fridge, and the propane flat grill, all you need to bring is your own food to cook. Up the hill just a short walk further, some produce was even sold for a steal so bring a few dollars to leave in the cash box to enjoy. Jan and her husband Dennis were kind and welcoming. We really appreciated how they took time out of their day to let us tour their barns, see the two day old calf, and share in storytelling and knowledge of their family owned dairy farm. Looking for a peaceful escape, you’ll be sure to find kindness and calmness at the Shack.

Midweek Escape

The Shack was a perfect getaway. My dog loved the lawn, the kitchen was well appointed and the bed was comfortable. Jan was easy to communicate and was very kind. Hope to return!

It is a beautiful shack with all the amenities needed for a wonderful peaceful weekend. If you want to relax this is the spot you want to be at. I highly recommend it.

The Shack

What a slice of heaven! The view, sunset, and the stars were breath taking! This shack had a bunch of little amenities you needed for cooking! Microwave, mini fridge/freezer, keurig, and toaster. Also, hot water and shower! Our three dogs loved parading the fields. The black stone grill is a BONUS! We will be back again... if you are thinking about booking- DO IT!

Try the shack for a great time

The cabin was clean and had everything I needed for a peaceful weekend away, The location was beautiful, and Jan was very pleasant. I definitely recommend the Shack!

The Shack

Nice place, shack is a good description! It's very isolated and has an amazing view. My wife and I slept well and had a very relaxing stay!
