**Please confirm you have read our property description and rules before booking** Our slice of paradise consists of 225 acres of forested land nestled in the foothills of the Catskills near Albany. We are a homestead and small campground devoted to the principles of organic farming and self-reliance. Modern agriculture and big business are unsustainable, destroying farmland at an accelerating pace. It is important for us to teach the next generation, there is an alternative. We produce much of our own food. We have friendly goats, chickens, ducks, peacocks, donkeys and horses the guests can pet and feed. There are no swimming holes on our property, but many waterfalls and swimming spots within a short drive (see list below). A quick 5 minute drive will get you to one of the best disc golf courses in the north east. For the truly adventurous, Clarksville Cave is a short drive away. Visit their website for list of proper gear and rules. We do rent some of the equipment needed. Site 2 - Magic Forest Farm Camp
I loved tent camping at the farm! The views were gorgeous. There was enough space between the campsite next to us. The animals were the cherry on top! I cannot wait to come back again.

Site 4 Magic Forest Far Forget-Me-Not Spot
BYO water, but prepare for views
Ultimately we had a lot of fun. The views were great, the farm setup was cool, and the bathrooms (though not enough of them) were decently clean. The listing says there is potable water available, but when there wasn't I got a lot of attitude from the host, asking if I thought it was a commercial campground (like no, it said there was potable water in the listing -- therefore I expected it?). She ended up allowing us to fill up with them though, because I showed her the listing. Had a really nice time though anyway.

Site 3 - Magic Forest Farm Camp
Camping in a tent at the farm
We camped in a tent at this location which had access to nice hiking trails. There were other spots on the property for people to be at including a tipi, yurt, house and tent sites. We had a plenty of privacy. porta johns were close by and an outdoor shower a quick walk to. The animals are fun for the kids to see especially peacocks! The dog was super friendly and joined us on our hike! Make sure you go to the "stage " to see the beautiful view.

Magic Forest Farm Yurt
Great time at the Yurt
It was our first experience camping at the Yurt - very nice and safe, quiet (not many people around) and nice hikes around the property. Watching farm animals, including singing peacocks, is definitely quite exciting.
