Had a great time at the site 1 location. Secluded private and in-between the trees. This site I'd say would fit 2ish tents comfortable.

Easy self check in. Mostly level grass area to park on. Matt was helpful in delivering us firewood. This is a great spot if Kaaterskill is on your trip as you are within a half mile. It’s a quiet place with lots of wilderness surrounding including all the coyotes and black bears that go along with the area so make sure you don’t leave any garbage out. I would definitely stay again.

The site was spacious, private and well maintaned camp site. Site #5 is the best amongst the lot. . It's really close to the Katerskill hiking and downtown tannersville

Quiet and Private and Easy Access

The sites were clean and spacious. Lack of water is my only complaint for $40, but we knew that going in. This was my first trip to the Catskills (for a cycling trip) and I found this location to be excellent for solitude yet very good access to Tannersville, North South Lake and great riding. I would stay here again.

Matthew was great at communicating especially since we were a day of reservation! The camp area was great. Very quiet and secluded with lots of roam for the dogs to walk around. Will definitely stay again if we find ourselves back in this area!

Lovely picturesque spot in the woods, very tranquil. I’d advise getting there before dusk as it was a little hard to see the site numbers after dark. Pitch is on grass.

Haines Falls Mountain RV Camping

Top camping site for a camper van in the area. Very private, very quiet, and our dog loves the space. Very close to the small towns in the area and the hiking/nature in Catskills. We’ve stayed at this campsite many times and love it!

Loved this property! Sites were mostly private and easy to find even arriving at night. Matthew’s place is super close to the parking areas for Kaaterskill Falls and a short drive to the towns of Tannersville and Hunter. We will be back!

We enjoyed camping on Matthew’s land! It’s an easy drive after our hike in the kaaterskill falls. We ran out of wood at night and Matthew was so kind to deliver us some within really short notice. We really appreciate that!

Ridgeback Retreat-Site 3

The site was unfortunately not up to expectations. There was not proper signage anywhere and felt like we were camping in someone’s backyard. On our site there was an empty RV? We were up til 3 am because people were screaming. Would not go again

Mostly surrounded by trees besides the narrow entryway. Also felt safe because my car took up nearly the entire width of the entry, so you’re pretty much totally closed off. Awesome spot

Easy in/ easy out- really beautiful area, nice and quiet. The only noise was a neighbors generator, however that will obviously change with who reserves. Definitely recommend!

We really liked how tucked away we felt. It was quiet and secluded, just what we wanted. Matthew gave detailed instructions for our arrival and answered questions in a timely manner. We had very few neighbors, if any. Occasionally we could hear a large truck passing down the road, but it wasn't enough to be a nuisance.

Nice and secluded, but there was misinformation on the listing about what was going to be expected at the site. When we got there, there was a different camper on site from what we originally saw on the listing. He told us that he switched the camper to a bigger one bc there were 7 of us & meant to ask if we were going to have tents (but wasn't communicated to us till the day of and we booked months in advance), and unfortunately there were issues we weren't prepared for: - the fresh water tank was nearly empty. He came and gave us with 4 buckets of water total, then had to buy our own even though it says there will be potable water in form of water bottles/jugs provided. He told us to leave empty buckets of water in the rain so we could use it as a water source. The grey and black tank was more than half way full (never emptied) so we couldn't even continue using water if we wanted to. - the first generator given to us flooded and didn't work, 2nd generator given ran out of gas & never refueled. So we didn't have power 85% of our stay even though we paid to have a working generator. - host rarely answered phone calls/texts. At one point he said he was going somewhere where he's going to have no cell service so he won't be reachable. Also had concerns morning of check out, and he texted us that night when we got home saying he accidentally left his phone at home?? - ended up booking a motel the 2nd night due to no water and no power in camper and host unavailable

Unfortunately this was not a campsite that met our needs. We ended up lighting a fire, cooking a few smores, put it out, and drove over to Phonecia to get a camp site elsewhere last minute. So really we only used this site for an hour and it's very unfortunate. I didn't think the pictures really depicted the site accurately. It is certainly secluded but site one is basically a moved circle in the middle of a bunch of tall prairie plants in the woods. Probably only big enough for a 4 person tent and some chairs plus one car., there was a lot of trash and food remains from prior campers near and in the metal fire pit which was concerning given black bears are all over the area and we felt we would have a hard time sleeping and would be swarmed by flies mosquitoes and ticks. Definitely a lack of instructions to campers about storing food and smelly items and bear country made me concerned. It's very quiet and secluded so if you are solo camping and want complete quiet and privacy from strangers you will get this. But it's literally in the middle of a mowed patch of weeds/prairie in the woods. There also is no water available so bring your own. This is not the type of campsite you want to bring your city friends to that are driving up for an overnight. It is very close to kaaterskill falls tannersville and north south lake but I do think that is the biggest perk of this site. We were willing to take a 40 loss to go elsewhere

Really great secluded campsite. We stayed here two nights in site 4/5 and would highly recommend. Very quiet and feels very remote. Also had good cellular service in the area.
