This is a great space to relax, be creative, get away from your phone and just be a human. Masen created a clever space with separate areas, including the main cabin (which also has the outdoor kitchen, hot tub and shower adjacent), the field (which has the outdoor pool table under a super cool pavilion which is just begging to host live music) and the sauna. None of these 3 spaces can be easily seen from another, giving a real sense of privacy, yet they are all close by. Everything was just special enough to make you want to touch it and use it, but not precious enough that you would be afraid to.
It was over 100 degrees the day we arrived and it was super dry, so the stream was not apparent and we gratefully used the hot tub as a cold plunge. We didn’t expect to use the sauna, but the rain did come and cool things off enough that we decided to and I’m so glad we did.
The main cabin is comfortable and solar powered. We really enjoyed the records as well. With no phones or tv, we gave in to listening to things we probably never would have otherwise and I’m pretty sure that’s exactly what Masen wanted folks to do.
Ultimately, I think this site is probably best suited to slightly cooler weather and I truly look forward to visiting again in the fall. Thank you, Masen!!!
