There have been some big changes at The Record Room! We have recently added a brand-new shower system and a new method for delivering water directly from the stream, so you'll never run out! We have also added two new speakers in the upstairs loft, improved the Hickory Ridge Suana, and many more improvements that you'll just have to see! This is the one. This is the experience that you'll remember for years to come. Welcome to The Record Room - Built directly from our hands and our hearts, The Record Room borders the fine line of camping and glamping, with a wood-fired cedar hot tub and outdoor shower that feeds off a small artesian creek, a sauna tucked within the trees, overlooking scenic ridge, and solar-powered vinyl that plays inside and out across a vast selection of vintage, classic, and current albums. Back to our small creek, there are plenty of quaint spots to dip your toes. The Monguap River is close enough to see and hear, and the Delaware River is just 2 miles up the road, with rafting, kayaking, and canoeing companies all along it. A queen Tempur-Pedic bed, as well as an overstuffed futon, will take care of you come nightfall. The outdoor kitchen is built for cooking some real food - a flat-top grill, a single burner, a stainless steel grate grill, cast-iron pans, and all utensils, all powered by propane. A wood stove inside will handle the chilly mornings and brisk nights. We have a pool table under a custom-built pavilion just for your enjoyment. And last but certainly not least, our outhouse, which is maintained by the women of our family. We also have a nearby waterfall, which is as close as a three-minute drive down the road. The Hawks Nest lookout is under 10 minutes away. We recommend downloading a trail finder app, as once you arrive here, there will be zero service or wifi. Since we only have one bed and one futon, only four individuals can sleep comfortably, but we also have a couple of spots for your friend circle to set up some tents. Our mission is to get people back into the life we feel so disconnected from nowadays, and we provide the space to be able to do so. Me and my 4 Girlfriends stayed two nights here! We had a wonderful camping experience! The land the cabin on is stunning and littered with the most beautiful jewel weeds, which attracts many pollinators like bees and hummingbirds. His record collection is AWESOME! All the classics plus some modern vibes! My personal favorite was the weezer album! If you stay, check out Shohola falls as it is a quick and beautiful hike. I wandered around the cabin and found the prettiest mushrooms I have ever found! Such a lovely place and I would stay again! 🗺️💚👯‍♀️⛰️

This was our second time here and as expected it was again a great experience. The property is wonderful and inviting. If you enjoy getting away and back to the beauty of nature this is perfect. Hummingbirds, butterflies, lightning bugs, bees, toads, frogs, etc... We plan to return again next year.

The cabin is cozy, the record collection is good, and the surrounding area is relaxing. Having no service or wifi was great. The place also has board games and a pool table off to the side. If you are going to want hot water make sure u start the fire well in advance.

The Record Room
This is a great space to relax, be creative, get away from your phone and just be a human. Masen created a clever space with separate areas, including the main cabin (which also has the outdoor kitchen, hot tub and shower adjacent), the field (which has the outdoor pool table under a super cool pavilion which is just begging to host live music) and the sauna. None of these 3 spaces can be easily seen from another, giving a real sense of privacy, yet they are all close by. Everything was just special enough to make you want to touch it and use it, but not precious enough that you would be afraid to. It was over 100 degrees the day we arrived and it was super dry, so the stream was not apparent and we gratefully used the hot tub as a cold plunge. We didn’t expect to use the sauna, but the rain did come and cool things off enough that we decided to and I’m so glad we did. The main cabin is comfortable and solar powered. We really enjoyed the records as well. With no phones or tv, we gave in to listening to things we probably never would have otherwise and I’m pretty sure that’s exactly what Masen wanted folks to do. Ultimately, I think this site is probably best suited to slightly cooler weather and I truly look forward to visiting again in the fall. Thank you, Masen!!!

We absolutely loved the Record Room! It was better than we expected. Loved that they made the whole set up with their own hands. We saw so much wildlife. Our 11 year old wanted to stay longer. Our two tiny dogs loved it. The hot tub and shower is a bonus!

We loved our time at the Record Room. It was an all around incredible experience despite several days of rainy weather. We had plenty to keep us busy, including the stellar record collection, cooking outside, a good collection of games, and the hot tub. The cabin and site are impeccably neat and intentionally designed, and have everything you could possibly need to enjoy the outdoors but be cozy. We so enjoyed traipsing through the mossy woods and exploring the surrounding area. We'll be back for sure!

My sweetheart and I had such an amazing time at The Record Room. We stayed for 3 nights and we wish we had one more! It was a cozy getaway that felt timeless. We loved setting the vibe with the records, dancing in the living room, and just enjoying some slow, peaceful days. It was cold when we went and one day was particularly rainy, but there is a lot to enjoy indoors and the fireplace kept us warm and cozy. One thing to note is that the wood provided is rather thin and burns fast. For this reason, heating the hot tub and keeping the indoor fireplace lit is a JOB! We had to add every 15 minutes or so. Our recommendation is to start early on the hot tub and bring some of your own logs as well - even better if they’re the big fire-starter ones. Overall it’s a special place. Masen and his family are great hosts and we hope to make it back again someday.

We stayed at the Record Room Cabin this past weekend and absolutely loved it! The hot tub with warm water and hot tub made for such a unique experience — truly unforgettable. The sense of privacy and peace was perfect, and the vinyl record collection was just incredible. There's even a magnificent pool table under a canopy with a view of the forest – a truly stunning sight. I agree with all the comments above. This is truly an amazing place! I really hope to come back again!

Masen was very friendly and helpful when we arrived. The Record Room was a cool place to stay and we really enjoyed it there. Yes, it takes some time to get the hot tub warm but just make a plan and make it happen cause it’s awesome! It was especially magical with a full supermoon lighting up the sky! A great little retreat with lots of hiking in the area, and pretty views. The property was fairly well equipped. The stream on the property was dried up from no rain, and though bummed, Mother Nature is in charge, so we readjusted our expectations. Just a little disappointing how quickly the power was gone from listening to records. We didn’t really need power but for that, with our constant campfire and our lanterns while we were on site, but we wanted wanted more music! Haha The collection is fun and diverse! Overall, the Record Room is a cool experience and I recommend it!

The Record Room
The Record Room is beyond cool! Think rustic but cozy! You get to sleep in a warm, cozy and comfortable bed while still being in the magic of the woods. There's an outdoor kitchen for fireside meals, a beautiful sauna just a short walk away, a hot tub run by natural spring water and more! You have books, games and a record player inside and a hammock outside. The cabin is run on solar so be sure to preserve your power! We discovered an amazing waterfall just a 3 minute drive away as well as got to see an amazing overlook just 5 minutes away! There's also a pool table on the property that you can use! Your phone will most likely be on SOS mode while staying at the cabin so be prepared with all that you need before arriving. Overall, Masen's HipCamp was such a cool experience and I would highly recommend to anyone wanting to get away and recharge your soul with the magic of this property!

My family had a great time at the record room! We enjoyed everything: the great outdoor kitchen set up, the record collection, adding on to the “fairy camp” in the woods, stargazing on the hammock etc etc. The cabin is so cozy and the loft bed was very comfortable. The pit toilet is well maintained. We really felt we had everything we needed! The hot tub wasn’t able to be used while we were there sadly but it looked very nice. Instead, we enjoyed the sauna which was incredible. It was like being at a nature spa! We would love to come back. Great experience for all (adults, kids and dogs)!

The record room is something truly magical that can only be explained by experiencing for yourself. It is the perfect spot to connect with nature without sacrificing our creature comforts. It was the perfect spot to camp with our two little girls, exploring the magical forest full of wonders, fairy houses and cool sculptures. The outdoor kitchen has everything you need to make delicious meals while watching the hummingbirds and butterflies sip from the surrounding wildflowers. I'd take it over a modern kitchen any day. We loved having dance parties in the cabin playing all the records and soaking in the hot cedar tub under the plentiful stars. Lots of great spots for fishing and hiking in the area. The cabin itself is super comfortable. We had one rainy day on our trip and honestly it was my favorite day. Listening to the raindrops on the tin roof with a fire going and a good book and a good record. The rain made the forest even more beautiful. Masen and his dad are great hosts, quick to answer any questions, Super friendly cool people who put a lot of thought into every little touch of this place. There was even a suprise pool table not on the listing! My only qualm is that we overpacked as they supply you with pretty much everything you would need, and that we had to leave. We cant wait to come back!

What an awesome space! The details around camp are so cool and we really appreciated the entire setup. The record theme is so much fun. We had a blast sorting through albums. The time flew as we took turns flipping records, heating the hot tub and stoking the fire pit. Wish we could have stayed longer and already hoping to return. Definitely take advantage of the unlimited wood addition!

Masen was a great host. Place was clean and very well kept. We enjoyed listing to the records , making fire and going in hot tub ! Kids loved every part. 5 minutes away you can find great water fall to hang at while hiking along the magaup river . Delaware River access point 5 mins away . We loved the privacy but also the proximity to so many activities. Masen was responsive and great. The land is beautiful and the cabin is well thought out and cute. We hope to be back again! Special things to note: the outdoor kitchen is great, make sure that the propane is full. If you want to use the wood fired hot tub, make sure it's filled to the brim as it leaks a bit. It takes a lot of wood and several hours to heat up to a nice temperature. Riverside Creamery in Port Jervis is delicious!
