3 nights at Locust Grove Waterfall

Locust Grove was such a magical place.. the sounds of the water and the numerous birds singing their songs with a few sounds of coyotes over the hill you couldn’t ask for a more serene getaway !! We definitely took advantage of the privacy !!! Felt like we were 16 again!!! Will definitely be coming back!!! ❤️❤️❤️

3 nights at Historic Riverside Farm

We loved staying at Riverside Farm the site was very private and very large. The river access was great, just a short walk on a wooded path led to a beautiful spot were we fished sat in tubes and just hung out in the water. The only thing I could say was a little inconvenient was the entrance to the site was a little tight for trailers to navigate around the dumpster through the opening to the path down to the site. But even with that we are definitely coming back.

3 nights at Wallkill River Camping

Highly recommend! We stayed in site 1 and set up our tent in the trees at the top of the hill. Beautiful site with view of the river and the hay field. Short walk to swimming spot by site 3 (muddy but worth it!). A gorgeous place to spend some time! We loved seeing the bats overhead at twilight, the stunning display from the fireflies, waking up to birdsong. Private and quiet. Clean outhouse. Good vibes, friendly host!

Weekend Trip to Forest Treasure Island

We had a great camping experience in the woods! The property is beautiful, with its own farm, garden, and cozy patios equipped with BBQ grills—perfect for relaxing and enjoying nature. Even though we were switched from the Cabbage Tent to a regular tent, our host Diana went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Her hospitality truly made the stay memorable. Highly recommend!

My cousin and I rent camped on Jan’s property and it was the highlight of our camping trip. They were lovely, welcoming, and we felt safe and slept well. The animals were fun to watch and play with. Thanks again!

Weekend Trip to Historic Riverside Farm

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Historic Riverside Farm Campsite 1 and I cannot rave enough about my experience! Nestled in a picturesque setting, this campsite offers breathtaking views of a sprawling farm, making it a perfect escape into nature. The rolling fields and vibrant greenery provide a stunning backdrop, especially during sunrise and sunset. One of the highlights of my stay was the easy access to the Walk Kill River. The soothing sound of the flowing water and the opportunity to explore the riverside was simply delightful. Whether I was fishing, or just lounging by the riverbank, it was a serene experience that I’ll cherish. The facilities were well-maintained, and the staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful, ensuring that my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. I recommend this campsite to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway amidst beautiful scenery. I can’t wait to return!

3 nights at Historic Riverside Farm

Our family had a fantastic time camping on the farm. Site 2 was ideal for letting our toddlers run freely through the chamomile fields all the way to the swings. The shade from the tree provided a lovely respite from the sun. Access to the river was just a short 15-step path away. While it’s not safe to leave little ones unattended by the river, there’s a nearby path leading to a shallow riverbank that’s perfect for toddlers to splash around safely. The campsites are spaced far enough to see, but not hear your neighbors . We’re glad we brought two large water containers, which were perfect for drinking and washing. The water from the pump tasted fresh and clean. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!

Weekend Trip to Wallkill River Camping

Another great stay at Wallkill river campsite. The foliage was in full bloom which made the site more secluded. Waking up listening to all the nearby birds is my favorite time of the day.

3 nights at Locust Grove Waterfall

We had a wonderful time staying at Locust Grove! The property is beautiful and well maintained, complete with whimsical trails leading to the camp sites. The camps are ideally situated on the bank of a lovely stream complete with swimming hole! The tents were spacious and clean, (we even had power!) and Monica was very responsive to any and all questions/ quieres. We will definitely be coming back!

A little slice of heaven. So relaxing, lots of space. I went to minnewaska park near by. Loved sitting on swing watching fireflies at night and listening to the water to fall asleep. Thank you for sharing your beautiful space with us.

1 night at Wallkill River Camping

Sarah’s land is an absolute gem!! We stayed on site 3 and it was absolutely magical - private, quite, shady, and close to the water. Great fire pit and easy to drive up to for setup. Feels rural but plenty of shops and stores nearby to grab food if needed. Favorite part was walking along the river with our pup in the mornings / evening. Would definitely return!

This is a great spot to camp! Quiet and peaceful, but easy access to a bunch of things nearby. The grounds are beautiful. I stayed in a tent site previously and this time around, I brought my camper. Having electricity for my camper was really helpful.

Fantastic secluded location. Highly recommend. A frame was very comfortable and easy way to enjoy the property. Would recommend backpacking mindset when packing or take the ride up (and back) if you want all your camping comforts.

Weekend Trip to Gunx Camping On A Horse Farm!

This place is genuinely so well thought out and extremely easy and absolutely worth it. As long as your children and animals are well behaved and you know how to read and follow rules, you’ll love it here. Also, for women with anxiety, the rules and instructions couldn’t have been more clear. Extremely spacious and the campsites are pretty far so we didn’t hear anyone else’s party. We will be back.

We loved Beaverwood Farm ! The hosts Paul & Marilyn are such warm wonderful people whom made us feel comfortable and welcome. The farm animals made us laugh and they are so sweet. We fed them some treats (veggies and corn) and they were our best friends. There were a lot of other people which was great because we did not feel alone. We are beginner campers so this is a great place to start. I highly recommend this place because we had a great time. It is very clean and well maintained. The G.O.A.T (Greatest Of All Time) of the goats :-)

We are in the mountains with great climbing, next to a state park. The campsite is on top of a massive boulder that looks out over the grounds with tons of wildlife surrounding. On a dead end road in the middle of the woods with no other houses within sight. ***PLEASE NOTE: BATHROOMS ARE THE SEASON. A little bit about us. This is a small campground. We do have one Glamping site as well as well as a super luxurious pool house available. We rent small retro RV's as well, see our other listings!! There are 40 acres here to explore with small streams, wetlands and forests. We have 4 modern brand new bathrooms with a hot showers in a beautiful new bathhouse with a charging station for phones and tablets. Its pretty amazing!!!!! We do have sulfur water, its great for your skin but smells! Each site usually has a 2 chairs, a table , a grill and a fire ring..... We also offer 3 vintage campers for a unique glamping experience. In our barn (now home to Gardiner Brewing Company) he had gravity fed water troughs for his cattle. Since then we have slowly switched from animals to tree fruit. You will enjoy rolling hills of fruit trees and fruit gardens along with beautiful views of the Shawangunk Mountain Ridge. We have 450+ acres so it in very private. As we are a working farm, you can see us driving pass with our tractors or maintaining the orchard around your campsite on occasion. You are welcome to ride your bikes, hike or jog where you will pass ponds and a working farm landscape. Please don’t pick our fruit. If you would like to enjoy the fruits of our labor please visit our farm store open year round on the premises where we sell cheeses, our fresh picked fruit and veggies, local meats, and our famous cider donuts along with other farm products. We also have a farm brewery open 3-7 in our old dairy barn for you to enjoy. Live music Saturdays and Sundays. Minnewaska State Park and Mohonk Reserve are only 10 minutes away. The rail trail is three minutes away. This trail gives you walking and biking access into New Paltz, where there is tons of restaurants and lots of shopping. Please be aware that during the months of September and October there may be a Pick-Your-Own customer or two walking around picking apples around the campsite area between the hours of 10:00-6:00. You are also welcome to come down to the farm market and purchase bags to pick your own apples in season.

Learn more about this land: A grassy meadow nestled between a forested ridge the Wallkill Valley Rail Trail, an open access walking and bike path. The Rosendale Rail Trail Cafe is just across the meadow from you and Rosendale trestle bridge is a short bike or walk away. We do have hot water showers and heated bathrooms in the Owlwood. Use our hand drawn map to find your way around the farm. Please drive extremely slowly while on the farm road, there and kids and critters everywhere and your car will thank you! Established through a collaboration in 2006 between the Mohonk Preserve, the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation, and Historic Preservation, the Palisades Interstate Park Commission, and the American Alpine Club, this site has transformed the climbing experience in the region. Completed in 2014, the campground features 50 campsites and 6 vehicle sites, all managed by the American Alpine Club and the Mohonk Preserve. This development marks a significant milestone for one of the country’s most beloved rock-climbing destinations, which has been attracting climbers for over 80 years. In addition to its proximity to world-class climbing routes, the campground is surrounded by stunning natural features, providing ample opportunities for outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, and exploring nearby swimming holes. At Mills Norrie State Park, there’s so much to do! Drive in, boat in, hike in, the choice is yours. Comprised of more that 1,000 acres in the Taconic Region of New York, you can shop, dine, barbeque, or camp out under the stars or reserve a cabin for a fancy affair. When you visit Mills Norrie State Park, there are many sites not to be missed. Take a hike (or snowshoe!) to view the Hudson River or kayak through its waters. In fact, come in summer and winter and do them both. We’ll see you there!

Small campground with tent sites fairly close to each other, or cabins. Try to get a platform tent site, which provide a little more room than the other sites. Plenty of hiking trails to explore or hike to the marina and take a kayak tour on the Hudson with the local outfitter. Amenities include showers, flush toilets, and running water.
