Forest Tent at Camp Cricket
The tent was well set up and very spacious inside. The provided mattress was also comfortable with ample bedding as well. I would recommend arriving before nightfall since it is hard to find the tents in the dark, but the campsite itself is great. One note, the firewood is not covered/protected, so if you visit a few days after rain, I would recommend purchasing your own firewood

Love the flat wooden plank for the tent but that is it . The bathroom isn’t great ! I know we can be minimalists but serious one of the worst experiences I have had with a bathroom the woods would have been better to be brutally honest. The shower is a camp shower great to rinse off . Again mixed feelings but close to allot of hiking and swimming

We had an amazing stay at Camp Cricket :) Directions to get there were clear and communication was easy with our host. The campsite was clean and organized, and the amenities were extremely convenient and made our stay super comfortable. To top it all off the stars were incredible. Would highly recommend!

Stargzing Campsite at Camp Cricket
Super cute lil spot to camp for the night or the weekend- Anna was super helpful and a great host! Beware you cannot car camp as there’s no vehicles allowed on the road (which is kinda nice cause you don’t have to worry about people disturbing the peace) and it’s a v short walk to the camp site (like 1-2 minutes max).

Great spot with some challenges
The location is great for exploring nearby towns, like Pheontia, Kingston, and Woodstock! The site itself is lovely, there are camp chairs, a fire pit (with plenty of wood!), a picnic table, and a large platform for your tent so you don't have to sleep on the ground. The shower is cold but works well, and the bathroom is as nice as an outhouse gets! Our biggest issues were ticks and poison ivy, which are all throughout the site (totally fine if you're careful though). There were LOTS of ticks—presumably because the area is surrounded by tall grass—which made the experience less enjoyable. Definitely thoroughly check your body and tent before going to sleep/going home from your trip (we both found one on ourselves when we got home). It's also a short walk to the car, which wasn't the best for some of our heavier stuff, so try to pack light.
