Weekend Trip to Ponderings at White Pond

Claudine is a very warm and helpful host. White bond is clean and great for swimming. We caught 4 fishs with lure. I hope we could stay more days there. The cabin is small but has everything you need.

3 nights at Leyden’s Regeneration Sanctuary

Outstandingly quiet, easy marked directions, and hidden forest treasures abound! Book this place and revel in your own canopy of stars! The 2wd low rider mini van went through unharmed and the back in site is wide enough to accommodate an extended truck. The other sites were even bigger. The communal firepit is HUGE, plenty of room for cooking, you can burn an entire xmas tree in there! Prompt meet up once I pulled in and I absolutely would love to book this again. :)

1 night at Glamping with the Wild Horses

Our family of five (kids ages 5, 9, 12) had a great time. This is a family-run operation. Mac Kenzie and her husband and in-laws were superb hosts who went above and beyond to meet all of our needs--extra fans, hats with bug nets, frozen water bottles, you name it. We were there on a very hot summer day. The dome was hot and stuffy during the day but cooled down to reasonable sleeping temperature at night. The outhouse was clean and not one bit smelly. The campsite had some extras we were not expecting--bug spray, spatula and tongs for the BBQ, towels. The two double beds in the Comfy Contrasts dome are lofted one over the other. The three domes are very close together, so had there been other guests, we would effectively have all been camping together. The hike with horses was extremely worthwhile and gave us a much better understanding of the work Wild Ride does. They took us on a comfortable, easy walk to accommodate our kids, so don't be intimidated by the description of the hike as steep and strenuous. We did a little other hiking on the property, but there wasn't a whole lot to do. or see. I would definitely recommend this spot if you have activities planned nearby (and Mac Kenzie and co were full of recommendations) but would not suggest relying on the property itself to provide all your entertainment. Thanks so much for everything!

1 night at Spacious Skies Minute Man Campground

Probably as perfect a campground stay as I could ask for. We were 20 minutes after the office closed but they had a late check-in process that made getting our site and instructions very easy. The site was nice, the facilities were updated and clean. Kids facilities were fun and enjoyable. The only drawback to our experience was that a camper down the way came out to smoke first thing in the morning and that would have been unpleasant for us at any campground that allows smoking (which is probably all of them?). A very nice campground.

A nice stretch of land in a peaceful lovely neighborhood. Rob was very warm and welcoming, he brought me a fire pit and a cupcake leftover from his daughter's grad party. Also, the cleanest portapotty I've ever seen.

I loved it! It was just convenient and a nice place to pitch a tent. If you take a trip to Boston and would rather camp, this site is great! Anything you may need is decently close to the site and downtown Boston is less than an hour away. Solid site.

Weekend Trip to Salamander Hollow Healing Habitat

We loved staying at this magical cabin on the Island! Everything was so perfect and inspiring! We had initially booked for one night and as soon as we checked in we decided to extend for a second night. This beautiful spot is perfect for swimming, fishing, bird watching and relaxing. Mary was extremely responsive and kind, gave us great local recommendations. We have already booked our next trip there and cannot wait to be back!

Weekend Trip to Glamping with the Wild Horses

We had the most amazing weekend with our 7 year old. The hosts were so warm and kind and we loved learning about how to train wild mustangs. We went on a hike with the mustangs and they all have such unique personalities. What a gift this place is for them. We also found it to be a gift! The domes were beautiful- comfortable beds and a small private space to change. The three of us were very comfortable in Serene dream but we will bring our other two children for the bunk beds next time! The bathroom (outhouse) was so nicely decorated you forget about the smell ;) The campfire was fantastic and there was wood ready for us. My husband and son played corn hole and we grilled for dinner. The grounds are fun to explore and all while seeing the beautiful mustangs roam! We will definitely be back.

It was exactly what we needed. Our dogs are a little reactive and this was secluded enough that they were able to relax and have a good time. It's pretty close to the road, but the road wasn't busy. It was very nice to be able to chill by the fireplace with the dogs and just be. Highly recommend!!

We had a great time camping at spacious skies campground. We went for my birthday and brought my two nieces who were first time campers. They allow pets so my two year old Labrador Retriever Bentley also had his first camping experience. Spacious skies was a great spot for the family. They had a pool, playground, and arcade. Friendly staff, happy campers, great atmosphere. We had a great time and we will definitely be back!

We had a few hiccups getting settled in; but the hosts were quick to rectify the inconveniences. I had guest coming in from 7 states and found the location from the Boston airport to be beneficial. 2 nights at Leyden’s Regeneration Sanctuary

Victoria is a delightful person. I just happened to be there at the same time as she was hosting a large gathering of a couple dozen friends. I was invited to join right in. She is intentionally trying to create a mostly wild space where nature is free to thrive on its own. (With a few small areas for cultivated plants, spaces for Hipcampers, and other amenities.) It's important to know that because cars, vans, and short buses can be accommodated quite easily. Large RVs, trailers, and tall box trucks must be prepared to navigate a short but fairly rough dirt road with a lot of low hanging branches. I was able to get in and out in my 32ft class A without breaking anything but if your rig is large and if the exterior cosmetics are precious to you, this is not a good place for you. And that's a shame because the seclusion is divine.

We currently have a one-room, wood stove warmed, cozy sleeping loft for one or two - with two benches below on either side of room - for two sleeping bags; plus, a separate 22 foot Sioux tipi with two cots. There are two chairs in the tipi, which if removed at night, make floor room for four other sleeping bags. 'Forest Bathing' for miles! If you're a larger group booking Salamander Hollow main camp with its Sleeping Library, Tipi & Slovenian Beehive House, you might consider renting this additional Tiny Cabin want to entertain all in glamping style, utilizing its amenities; as well, providing another bathroom/shower and guest bedroom for those who prefer being indoors while in the great outdoors. Note that Kula Bata Tiny Cabin abuts the wheelchair accessible larger bathroom/shower which is available to those at the Salamander Hollow main camp, yet you are secluded with your own private entry points and private bathroom. A ten minute drive takes you to the parking area to hike up Tully Mountain. There is a grill, wood fired pizza oven, two fire pits and a hygienic Incinolet electric toilet on the property for night convenience, with small camp sinks for washing & teeth brushing. Take a short hike off the property to organic Chase Hill Farm for milk, eggs, seasonal veggies, grass fed meat and other goodies. Say hello to their cows, chickens, pigs, goats, pups and kids. Nestled across the road from Salamander Hollow is Timber Haven Farm, where you can schedule your pickup of bacon and eggs, while loading up on delicious Owl Energy Bars for your adventurous excursions. For those interested in the glamping side of camping, you will enjoy a remote rustic experience with a few creature comforts to keep you well read, clean and fed. Please bring your own bedding - pillows, sleeping bags, comforter, teddy bears.There is a wall mounted blue tooth car radio/CD player in Sleeping Library, so bring your pre-digital favorites. Here is where we envision a great touch-point area for those leading groups to be for a base-camp by day or night, where eventually a multi-use tenting platform/performance stage will be constructed for outdoor entertainment, creating an authentic 'stadium style' seating on the hill.
