It all started when grandfather Charles B Wright first establish this farm in 1904. He purchased it for its natural springs. In our barn (now home to Gardiner Brewing Company) he had gravity fed water troughs for his cattle. Since then we have slowly switched from animals to tree fruit. You will enjoy rolling hills of fruit trees and fruit gardens along with beautiful views of the Shawangunk Mountain Ridge. We have 450+ acres so it in very private.
As we are a working farm, you can see us driving pass with our tractors or maintaining the orchard around your campsite on occasion. You are welcome to ride your bikes, hike or jog where you will pass ponds and a working farm landscape. Please don’t pick our fruit. If you would like to enjoy the fruits of our labor please visit our farm store open year round on the premises where we sell cheeses, our fresh picked fruit and veggies, local meats, and our famous cider donuts along with other farm products. We also have a farm brewery open 3-7 in our old dairy barn for you to enjoy. Live music Saturdays and Sundays. Minnewaska State Park and Mohonk Reserve are only 10 minutes away. The rail trail is three minutes away. This trail gives you walking and biking access into New Paltz, where there is tons of restaurants and lots of shopping.
Please be aware that during the months of September and October there may be a Pick-Your-Own customer or two walking around picking apples around the campsite area between the hours of 10:00-6:00. You are also welcome to come down to the farm market and purchase bags to pick your own apples in season.

If you want to sleep in a car, van, truck, or RV, you must contact us ahead of your arrival so we can tell you where to car camp. No cars are allowed in Red Fox Meadow! Our 75 acres is a wonderful, diverse mix of habitat, harmoniously integrated with our small farm. This land was the homestead of the very first non native settler of the area, John Wiley, in 1787. Before that, it was the land of the Mahican native Americans. They named it "valley of the butternut trees", or Wyomanock.
The Wyomanock Creek is the backbone of this little valley. Beaver have dammed the creek at several points to create ponds and other wetland features that support a diversity of wildlife including otter, moose and a myriad of birds, from osprey to herons. This sanctuary is host to many uncommon native plants and plant communities. We would love to share it with you!
Your host, Thom, invites you to property to explore 75 acres of meadows, woods and water. Choose one of several sites either in the woods or open areas. You are also free to use our outdoor solar shower or take a dip in the cold pond or artesian spring fed pool.
Our location is convenient to the Berkshire Mountains, state parks, hiking and other attractions, including Ramble Wild tree to tree adventures and Jiminy Peak. There are a few miles of rail trail access just down the road.

We are a homestead and small campground devoted to the principles of organic farming and self-reliance. Modern agriculture and big business are unsustainable, destroying farmland at an accelerating pace. It is important for us to teach the next generation, there is an alternative. We produce much of our own food. We have friendly goats, chickens, ducks, peacocks, donkeys and horses the guests can pet and feed. There are no swimming holes on our property, but many waterfalls and swimming spots within a short drive (see list below). A quick 5 minute drive will get you to one of the best disc golf courses in the north east. For the truly adventurous, Clarksville Cave is a short drive away. We have had our son develop an edible forest garden and a unique diversified small orchard so we can eat and share healthy organic fruits and vegetables while helping our environment and wildlife and educating others to do the same.

The land has been welcoming people for a long time, and we love to continue that tradition.
Potash Brook flows through the property and connects to the Westfield River. Follow it to discover swimming holes, peaceful dip spots, and The Cauldron — a waterfall with a cliff jump and a natural rock slide. Wander through old-growth forest, mossy stone, wildflowers, ghost pipe, and other natural treasures.
We currently offer one thoughtfully designed campsite, with just a few more to come, each with its own unique character and secluded nook along the brook. Always intimate and quietly communal — never a campground. Gather around the shared fire pit after dark.
This is a place to slow down, move at the pace of the water, sleep beneath truly dark skies, and wake to sun-drenched moss and the gentle sound of the flowing brook.

Please note that The Hallow is a private residence. We are a family of four in the main house and a couple resides in the smaller house on the property. Welcome to Hickory Hollow!
Located 7 minutes from the Town of Catskill, 25 minutes from Hudson, and just under the Catskill Mountains, Hickory Hollow is the perfect campsite to take full advantage of the Upper Hudson Valley.
There are two campsites you can chose from, both in clearings that make for great star gazing. Camp 1 is deeper into the forest taking about two minutes to walk to from the parking area. Camp site 2 is only a one minute walk but much closer to the farm. If you are coming with a dog, I would recommend staying at Camp site 1, as the farms dogs are very vocal when there are new friends in the area. Each campsite comes with a fire pit, a grate for cooking, and a picnic table.
There is parking provided and a composting outhouse. You will need to bring your own firewood, though there is plenty of available kindling.
The property is 9 acres and I encourage guests to hike down to the stream and take a walk if they feel comfortable. If not there are so many hiking/swimming options nearby and I am happy to point you in the right direction.
This property has a been a life long dream of mine, and is (in my opinion) the most beautiful place on earth. That being said there is a still a lot of work that I am doing since this is a very new endeavor. So please watch yourself if you do decide to stay. The Hollow is beautiful but also very steep, so please be careful while you walk the woods. Pets are welcome, but again, be safe. There is an abundance of wildlife in the Hollow (see if you can spot the porcupine) but that can be very distracting for dogs, so be cautious when letting them off lead.

Quiet place in the Catskills. Great place for wildlife viewing, Swimming and fishing in Green Lake and select locations and along the Kaaterskill Creek. Sites are located 15 minutes to Catskill Village, 20 minutes from City of Hudson, 25 minutes from Tannersville / Hunter and 30 minutes from Woodstock. There are short trails on our property for walking and miles of hiking trails in the Catskill Park. We have 3 sites. 2 for a tent and one site for a travel trailer less than 24' or a tent. Spaces not within view of each other. Full 7 Gallon water jug provided for washing up and rinsing dishes, no electric but I can top up your batteries for a small fee with my generator. Basically dry camping with fire ring and picnic table and 7 Gallon water jug. Please keep pets on a leash and pick up after them.

We had such a perfect weekend staying on James's land, visiting a nearby creek and taking a couple of James's suggestions for Greens Lake and ice cream by the water on Bridge St, which were great. The set up was wonderful with plenty of flat space for our tent, and the fire pit and picnic table within a beautiful wooded area of large trees. The sounds of crickets, frogs, cicadas, and owls was so amazing. The outhouse was clean and well taken care of. James was really welcoming and nice, and funny too! We didn't chat for too long but we would have enjoyed more conversation with him, especially to learn more about the trees and mushrooms on the property. Next time! Highly recommend this lovely spot.

We had an incredible experience at Historic Riverside Farm! I stayed at Campsite 1 with my son and a friend, and we had an amazing weekend.
We love fishing, and having the river right next to our campsite was perfect. We caught several smallmouth bass and some big catfish. 🎣 For anyone who loves fishing, nightcrawlers and small spoons worked really well for us!
The campsite is beautiful, peaceful, clean and well organized. Site 1 has plenty of shade, trees for hammocks, a picnic table, and a clean portable toilet nearby.
Melissa was an amazing host and very kind to us. She even brought firewood directly to our campsite, and we bought a couple dozen fresh eggs from the farm — highly recommended!
I also flew my drone over the property and noticed a huge peace symbol cut into the landscape, which was really cool.
This has definitely been my favorite camping trip this summer. Great fishing, beautiful surroundings and a wonderful host. We’ll definitely be back. Thank you, Melissa!

Riverside campsite is a really special place. It’s isolated yet accessible. The campgrounds and the entire property is very well maintained. My 4 year-old particularly loved going up the road to use the old-school water pump to get freshwater. The river itself is not very deep and doesn't flow fast so it’s not a dangerous high-alert situation with children. There are a lot of bugs, but thats camping. Unavoidable. Sam the host was kind and welcoming.

Trust your intuitive nudge with this absolute gem ✨ Brianna is an amazingly conscious host and the property’s description beckoned me in for some nourishing nature respite. I never could have imagined just how enchanting this brook is- I spent my whole stay in it, from morning coffee and writing, to dancing and dipping, there is a rock for that🌿⛲️🪨
If nestled in nature near healing waters that lull you to sleep at night is your speed, this is your spot. The site is quite literally waterfront, many great hammock trees, native plants and happy wildlife peppering the banks, lush grass in full sun nearby for yoga, and the perfect simple reprieve from the bustle.

We had a great stay at SoHi Campground! Staff was friendly and accommodating and we had a nice quiet site all to ourselves. Running a little late on Sunday and they were able to arrange for a late check out. Would recommend and we'll definitely be back!

Amazing location right off the river, I was at site 2. The tree over our site was like a perfect sunshade. Beautiful land would come again with the dogs, they had tons of fun running up and down the hill. Saw deer on property as well!

We stayed on site 1 with a group of 9 people - we loved exploring the property and especially enjoyed pumping fresh water from the well and swinging on the swings. The porta potty was clean. Everything went smoothly and we had a restful trip, highly recommend!

From the moment I made my reservation, I was getting messages from the host welcoming me and giving me options where to stay… honestly I would love to keep this place a secret. My site (#3) was on the water. It was very large for one family with a pit, place to put a big tent and private access to a beautiful river where I immediately jumped it. ( it s summer so it s shallow… but it constantly mi e and he super clean. I would imagine great place for fly fishing). Anyway my son and I walked to the swings up the hill and enjoyed that view too. There was no noise , it was so private, so easily accessible. The wood that was provided was plenty for the nite and dry ready to be burned. The grounds were immaculate and freshly cut. This was a true gift . Thank you

One thing that struck us was the diversity of plants, trees and wildlife.
The campsite was well tended but not overly manicured.
Sam & Melissa handled a delicate situation directly to our satisfaction and with a professional attitude.
Would highly recommend this hipcamp!
