This cabin was truly amazing! I hope to return and I would recommend it to anyone. Their property is beautiful and the cabin is very secluded. I was skeptical at first about their choice to not have curtains on the window, but now having stayed there I understand why this was actually a great design choice - the windows all face out into the woods with seemingly nobody for miles. The cabin is very warm and well insulated, and the wood stove heats the place up quick. All in all its just a very cozy, secluded, clean, bright, and beautiful experience. And those farm fresh eggs are delicious!

The Just Be cabin was absolutely incredible. Stacey helped us with the wood stove and my girlfriend and I had a wonderful time. If you enjoy the outdoors and want a getaway, I highly recommend staying at this cabin!

The only thing wrong with this spot is having to leave! The cabin is immaculate, quiet, and restful. I will continue to return as often as I can. This time I wandered a bit more in the garden and surrounding forest—a lovely way to spend an afternoon. There are good hiking opportunities nearby. Notchview, a Trustees of the Reservations property has a variety of trails of varying lengths and degrees of difficulty for hiking or skiing. Loved returning to cozy up with the wood stove after a beautiful, if chilly, day of hiking. Stacey always makes me feel completely welcome. Looking forward to coming again.

The best birthday gift to myself!
The cabin is absolutely magical. The wood stove was easy to use and really warmed the place up on the first cold evening of autumn. I brought a cooking pot and cast iron pan and dishes and utensils and a kettle for tea. Bring everything you need for cooking and eating. Canned beans can work well since there is no fridge, but dry goods like brown rice work great with some fresh veggies. The bedroom is the star of the show. Gorgeous windows, comfy bed. You might want to bring a book light to help read in bed. I wear contact lenses most days so I brought a little hand sanitizer and dish soap to get my hands squeaky clean before dealing with those. The toilet is really a cool antique machine and it was fresh and easy to use. The garden is beautiful and the cabin is very private and quiet. I can’t say enough good things!!!! I plan to return! Oh and the surrounding area is a dream come true too 🥰

Overall, the cabin was cute and the host was incredibly friendly. However, a few more amenities would have gone a long way. Possible the inclusion of cards or board games. Cabin is extremely close to hosts property and doesn’t allow for much seclusion. Beautiful river near by.

Peace and quiet in the woods
Another lovely and all too short stay at this sweet cabin. Glad it was still cold enough at night to justify using the wood stove. Lovely to see the garden beginning to stir to life. It’s clearly going to be beautiful this spring and summer.

Just Be Cabin
Our family loved the quiet, cozy getaway to Just Be Cabin. What a way to pass the afternoon (and a raging thunderstorm) and evening. The cabin was terrific, simple but with just enough amenities (going in we thought it didn’t have electricity for some reason- so a pleasant surprise that it did). The wood stove was awesome. Stacey was a terrific communicator and our little guy loved meeting the 2day old chic and all the older chickens. Thank you so much!

Myself and my partner absolutely loved our trip. Snowed for most of our weekend with the most fantastic view surrounding us. Stacey was extremely kind and fantastic at responding to us! The cabin itself is very clean, well kept, and simple which made for one of the best weekends I’ve had in a while. We brought a little projector and projected movies on the ceiling at night, prepped fresh veggies in marinades, and brought some wine. Couldn’t ask for anything better!

Leave your headphones at home!
Peaceful spot to watch woods on a blustery day. The acoustics in the cabin are superb! I enjoyed hearing nuances in favorite pieces that were as clear as live performances. As others note, the bed is quite comfortable and the cabin is clean and calm. Stacey was very kind when I was delayed arriving and kept the cabin warm with a fire in the wood stove. She pointed me toward a nice walk and even shared beautiful eggs from her flock. Looking forward to returning again!

We had a such a cozy fall weekend at Just Be cabin. The wood stove kept us warm, the hot plate was perfect for food prep, and the composting toilet is great. Waking up to such a peaceful view of the forest was such a treat. Stacey was a gracious host, giving us clear directions on how to find the cabin and use the roof stove, and even got a fire going in advance of our arrival. We are already trying to plan a return trip!

A beautiful space to relax. Big windows onto the forest, and a super comfortable bed. Loved hearing coyotes and owls as the moon rose. Nearby Chesterfield Gorge and DAR hikes made for a great balance of recreation and rest.

Rustic and Simple Perfection
What a great place! I really enjoyed my stay at the Just Be Cabin. Stacey was very welcoming when I pulled up to the house and gave me some good pointers on using the woodstove. Brian later gave me helpful directions to get to the Chesterfield Gorge State Reservation (esp. useful since I couldn't get cell service in the area). The property and part of MA that the cabin is located in are both perfect for exploring nature or, if you prefer, just relaxing in the woods at the cabin. A stop at the Old Creamery is a must for coffee, a sandwich, and some baked goods. The cabin was well-stocked with wood and water (although the pump-spigot is a little labor-intensive—I ended up using my own Poland Spring gallon jug). The earth toilet, as they say, "got the job done" in a surprisingly lo-fi and easy-to-use way. Above all, the views from the bedroom are to die for in the morning. Overall, if you're looking for a tidy, cozy, rustic, stay, I'd highly recommend a couple nights at the Just Be Cabin.

The cabin was cozy and very clean, and the bed was super comfortable and warmly layered with blankets and nice sheets. We arrived late so Stacey left the lights on in the cabin for us. Waking up to the view of the woods was a lovely surprise since we arrived in the dark! I’d definitely stay again!

Just Be Cabin
The Just Be Cabin was a wonderful retreat! Stacey was a kind and thoughtful host - there was a surprise snowstorm when we were supposed to arrive, but Stacey gave us updates on the snow and road conditions so we could be prepared. She also started the wood stove early so the cabin was warm and cozy by the time we arrived that night. The cabin was very clean and tidy, with many windows for looking out into the surrounding woods. Note there are no curtains on the windows, so the sun will wake you up in the morning! The nearby area has lots of nice walking and hiking options like Chesterfield Gorge, and we bought maple syrup straight from the source from a house down the road. Highly recommend and would stay again. Thanks, Stacey!

Rest, relax, antique hunt, Just Be
We are new to Hipcamp, and couldn't have had a better introduction than Just Be Cabin! The cabin was immaculate, with woodstove heat that really felt wonderful on a few chilly nights... Waking up to sit by the stove, sipping coffee, and enjoying the quiet sounds of the birds was a perfect cure for all the busy workdays. Even the bed was very comfortable and had plenty of pillows. The chickens are a great addition; I have always loved to toss food for chickens and listen to their chatter. We would definitely visit again, and would encourage you to get away to Just Be Cabin also!

We had such an amazing stay at Just Be Cabin! Despite the cold outside, the fire really heated up the cabin. We looked out through the large windows to beautiful trees and watched the snow fall, brought food to cook on the wood stove, and ate delicious sandwiches at the nearby co-op called The Creamery. it was a cozy and wonderful weekend and we can't wait to come back!

Absolutely incredible stay. We stayed after a fresh snowfall. Not only is the property beautiful and the cabin secluded and cozy, but Stacey even started the wood stove before our arrival so it was nice and toasty. We want to come back in the summer to see the garden in full action! Highly recommend!

This cabin was wonderful, beautiful, and calm! We cooked some wonderful meals on a portable gas stove we brought and on the wood stove, and had a nice time sitting on the meditation platform and relaxing in the woods. The earth closet is great as well! Thank you so much for a nice stay.

Pleasant Retreat
My husband and I fully enjoyed our two-night winter stay at Just Be Cabin. We visited during the COVID-19 outbreak and were impressed by the safety protocol Stacey and Brian follow. The walk from our parking spot was not as far as I had expected, taking only a minute on level ground. The cabin is simply a treat—cozy, warm and clean, with a spacious bedroom that has a table with two chairs and lots of windows for light and viewing out into the woods beyond. Local birds flitting around outside were a treat to watch. The woodstove enabled us to heat water for drinks and pasta and warming the chili we brought from home. A table near the stove enabled preparing of food. When we visit again (and we hope to!) we will bring a couple of gallons of water from home to save some time and effort. (Water from the supplied indoors 5-gallow jug had to be pumped up and out--- easy enough to fill a water bottle, but the slow flow took an effort to fill a pot). We took a pleasant walk (gradual downhill) down Mount Rd. that passed through orchard, woods, past a beautiful old house and a cool old cemetery, which proved to be a satisfying destination before returning back. Thanks, Stacey, for the really nice getaway!

Sweet retreat in the woods
I had such a lovely retreat here! The cabin is peaceful, clean, beautiful, and cozy, the perfect spot for reading, meditating, and enjoying the trees. The woodstove kept me nice and warm. I left once during my visit to go on a really pretty hike near Chesterfield Gorge and get some hot cider at the Creamery; otherwise I just lounged and enjoyed the peace and quiet.
