We're named one of the best Hipcamps to visit in 2024 and 2023! Over 40 acres of solitude tucked in the hilltowns of the western Massachusetts Berkshires -- boasting warm sunrises over the distant hills, lush forest for hiking and meandering river frontage on Bronson Brook and walking distance to the Westfield River to wade and soak in the cool mountain water or fish for native trout! The cabin and camping sites are located in beautiful trails that were created around the main home -- an architect designed masterpiece boasting a wonderful asian influence yet handcrafted from the very timberstock off the land on which it sits lending a refined rustic twist. 25 Min to Northampton and 10 min to the Berkshires! You can hike or bike to the best swimming holes around and camp within our beautiful forested hills of hemlock, birch, maple, and wildflower meadow. If you're into kayaking/canoeing/tubing/hiking/fishing, then this is the perfect space for you. Come escape and breathe in our cool clean mountain air :)

This camp is a 3 minute walk from the main house, and you will have complete privacy. We have 6 tent sites to choose from on our trails, so you can pick if you want to be close to the house or farther down the trails (between 1-5 minute walks). Each site has its own tent platform and there is a shared outhouse with compost toilet. You're welcome to bring your own camping stove, but have to set it up in the communal picnic area and not inside the woods for wildfire safety.

Over 40 acres of magnificent views of the beautiful green hills of the Berkshire hilltowns, our tiny secluded cabin has heat on both floors, electricity, lights, wifi, and an upstairs loft with a full-sized futon mattress for you to sleep in. The upstairs windows have screens if you want to prop them open. Just outside the cabin is where the table/chairs, outdoor shower (propane heated), outdoor sink and water area (safe to drink well water), and outhouse with compost toilet are for you to use (shower and sink are shared with two of our hipcamp tent sites in summer months). Located on over 40 acres of land, we can show you the trails that we've made and also show you where two swimming holes are (one just a short walk off the property and the second a bike ride away to the Chesterfield Gorge). Enjoy meals at the Chesterfield General Store or take a drive to Mass MoCA, the Berkshires, nearby lakes, Northampton and the Pioneer Valley. NOTE: if you're over 6ft tall or a larger framed body, we recommend checking out our glamping site instead of the cabin since the cabin is very small and you might feel a bit too squeezed. But if you like tiny homes, then this is the perfect spot for you. Message us if you have questions.

We're named one of the best Hipcamps to visit in 2024 and 2023! Enjoy glamping within the Hilltowns of the Berkshires in western MA. A new canvas bell tent that sleeps two people comfortably. It has two twin size futons on Japanese tatami mats. Linens, towels, pillows, blankets included. Enjoy our outdoor shower (heated!) that's nestled in the woods with a beautiful mossy boulder as your wall. There’s a new outhouse with a compost toilet in the woods and we have an outdoor sink area for you to use too. We're have a well and water is safe to drink. You'll have a portable off-grid battery to plug in any electronics you have and we have wifi that you can use while you're here unless you want to unplug :) You can park right near your campsite for easy loading in. Swimming holes galore around here, we'll show you our favorite spots that you can walk or bike to. Some lakes that you can drive to as well. Great spot for cyclists and many bike up to Chesterfield General Store thurs-sun to enjoy treats, pizza, sandwiches made in a wood fire oven. There's a nearby brewery in Worthington as well as a great bbq food truck and ice cream spot in Williamsburg.

Hilltop Cabin (heated)
The cabin is incredibly cute and comfortable, on beautiful land. It is well stocked - including nice touches like a hooded cotton robe, comfy bedding, a tiny coffee maker, a headlamp, and a tarot deck :) I could imagine that the loft could be difficult for some people to maneuver in and out of if they have any mobility issues, but I found it super cozy. My favorite thing was the outdoor shower. Wow, so lovely. And the outhouse is even pretty and tastefully decorated! A lounge chair near the cabin would have been really sweet, but overall the stay was absolutely wonderful. The hosts were welcoming, helpful, and kind. I highly recommend AtLand and hope to return!

Glamping Tent
I have to admit I went in with high expectations. Those expectations were shattered almost immediately. The spot the tent is in provides the best view of the sunrise on the property. If there is an award for the nicest privy in all of campdom it's THIS PRIVY! Not a thing out of place. Not a detail overlooked. The outdoor shower was a revelation combining everything great the local flora and fauna has to provide. This is a special place run by very special folks. We'll be back.

Beautiful tiny cabin. They’ve done big things with a small space. The little touches were clearly thought out including a heater and fan, ear plugs, and plenty of utensils/kitchen ware to eat and make coffee. They also have a new outdoor bathroom! Rustic but cozy, functional, and clean experience. Would do again.

What a sweet space to commune with nature! My son and I needed a spot to explore this beautiful area of western mass and we are so happy we picked this little hideout. We giggled at little it was. We giggled at the sneaky fridge hiding in a tool chest. We giggled at how everything was considered in miniature form. We giggled at an outdoor shower right out there in a hidden pocket of the forest. This place is a little gem!

We loved staying in the tiny home at Ashland. The property was super peaceful and tucked away, but still close enough to get into town and explore easily. The host was extremely easy to communicate with, which made everything smooth. That said, the shower connection kept slipping off, which was a little awkward when you’re out in the woods mid-rinse. Also, the picnic table is located right next to the tiny cabin, so just be aware that other campers may be hanging out and eating there. Overall, it was a cozy, unique stay with a lot of charm!

Such a nice spot, I was amazed by everything around the camp also the camp itself, the owner is very kind answer very fast so any question you can just send a message straight to her, awesome hot outdoor shower and the tent is in a awesome spot you have a good view of the main house but you can keep your privacy, have some stores around or in cities nearby to get some food and there is swimming spots everywhere around, my favorite was the Ashfield lake. Such a pleasure to stay on this blessed camp!

I stayed here one night during a bikepacking trip and it was perfect. The rent site is remote enough to feel secluded but with the convenience of a much needed shower, electricity to recharge my electronics, and a basin to wash dishes. Tori was incredibly helpful and provided excellent tips.

It was a very neat and tidy spot! The mini cabin was lovely and there were many thoughtful additions. The open air shower was also nice, and we adjusted well to the wood-chip compost toilet. Don't expect too much privacy though. Overall very nice!

Beautiful property. Quiet and peaceful. We stayed two nights in the tent, which was comfortable and all set up for us with clean bedding and flashlights. We enjoyed the hot outdoor shower, the very cold and drinkable water at the sink area. The best part (since we stayed during a heatwave) was the river at the end of their driveway which was so cool and peaceful. We enjoyed visiting Williamsburg and Northampton, which were not far. We loved staying here and love supporting their space for artists.
