Come see Lake Shaftsbury State Park! This 200 year old farm is at the top of a dead end road on 150 acres. It sits in a region of Bennington County formerly called Healing Springs Vermont. The springs that flow off of West Mountain come down through the farm and across Route 7 where they feed the picturesque state park!
Arrive at our 150 acre property at the top of this dead-end road.. (Please stay left all the way up to the top...the road becomes our driveway).. Step out onto this 200-year-old farm at your own private site all of which are several acres each minimum.. Walk to streams ponds and Lake Shaftsbury State Park.
FYI to those booking the stone wall site, the whole thing is on a bit of a slope, so it’s not ideal for babies/toddlers!
Signage could have been better.
Firewood is “provided” but costs extra.
Mike was very nice and responsive, however, and the view is gorgeous!

Spectacular Campsite
Absolutely amazing! One of the most beautiful campsites we’ve ever been to (and we’ve been camping for many years). Already looking forward to going back! The views, the wildflowers, the stars…loved the swing and shower too (like a cold water plunge, very refreshing :-)

Healing Springs Vermont
We stayed on the site right under the huge pine tree, a beautiful spot with soft green grass, a firepit and picnic table. At first it seemed odd that we were so close to the house, but we quickly forgot about it and had a great, restful night. Limited interaction with Mike but he was friendly and a great host. The farm is right across the street from a state park and close to hiking , restaurants and coffee shops. Highly recommended!

Healing Springs Vermont
Absolutely peaceful property and amazing host! We got to camp under the big line out front with a picnic table and fire ring next to a trail with a private pond and chairs. We played cards fireside until late into the night and loved every minute of our stay!!! We hope to return to Shaftesbury while looking for property to purchase.

Pine tree
I stayed under the Pine Tree with my 23ft travel trailer with one pullout. The GPS took me right to the street from the main road and it is very easy to get to. Mike was an exceptional host. I was greeted by the chickens and the dog brought me his toy when I pulled up. Mike came out a few minutes later. He asked if we needed anything and made sure we were comfortable. Even though the house and barn are there it felt like the place was all ours. Plenty of space to spread out and walk around. The view of the mountain and the stars at night were stunning. I would go there again and again anytime I am in the area.
