Our 8' by 30' home sits on a 2 acre field surrounded by Vermont forest...a great place to get away from the grind. Easily accessible from the road but the tree coverage blocks all views to neighbors. It's a great place to sit by the firepit, see the stars and hike the forest. A quick drive to state parks, lake Champlain, and many river holes. We are located 14 miles from Smugglers Notch Ski area, 20 miles to Burlington, and 65 miles to Montreal, if you're looking for more nightlife.

The campsite is east facing. You can enjoy the morning sunshine on the deck while listening to the loons on nearby Lake Iroquois. You can stroll through the meadow paths, venture on a woodland hike, walk, run, or bike on/off the property. The site also boasts a wide open green space if you are interested in lawn games or inviting friends to join you. The 14X16 wall tent comfortably sleeps 4 with a double bed, twin daybed, and twin pull-out mattress. Please bring your own bedding and pillows. Kitchen supplies are provided for cooking, dining and cleaning. Gas grill with side burner and fire pit are provided for cooking. This area is so diverse in its offering. Lake Iroquois is 200 yards from the site with access to the beach and boat launch one mile down the road. Lake Champlain is 15 miles to the west from us with varied access to swimming, boating, and water sports. Bikers can enjoy dirt road rides, flow trails, single track, and endless paved roads in Hinesburg and near-by towns. Hikers can hit the hills nearby or further away. Camels Hump State Park and access to the Long Trail is just 15 miles away. Need a city fix? Burlington is also 15 miles away and offers shopping, dining, a lively waterfront, music, the arts and more. Don't want to go far away? Hinesburg village offers 6 restaurants, a brewery, music on the green, and a well stocked grocery store. We are excited to share this beautiful property with visitors. Dan found this special place back in 1996. We didn’t move on site until 1999 and still haven’t build our dream home. The years were full of raising our four daughters on this beautiful property. The girls had horses, enjoyed snowmobiles, four wheeling, ice skating, kayaking, sliding parties, camping, picking wild berries and playing in the woods. We had a Christmas tree farm and enjoyed sharing the property and horses with our customers. We now enjoy all this with our two grandsons. It seems only right to share what we have been so blessed to enjoy all these years with others. Learn more about this land: Park your RV or pitch your tent and take some time to relax. Take a walk through the woods, take your kayak out on Otter Creek starting at the base of our driveway or relax with a campfire. Visit Blazer or ring the humongous bell, and check out the wildlife. The Center Farm

This land is a very special place. The energy is calming and you will feel at peace with yourself after just a short time walking through the woods. This property was first purchased by my great grandfather in 1919. I was fortunate to be able to purchase it from my father in 2007. Much work was done to bring it back from being neglected and overgrown. The original buildings burned to the ground in 1948 and the property has been rebuilt over the last dozen years. It is a work in progress but also a labor of love. Enjoy a stay in this small rustic cabin. Experience peace and solitude while enjoying magnificent views atop forested hills offering stunning southeast views that overlook Vermont's central mountain ranges. The site is secluded and private and is ideally situated to view wildlife, allowing one to experience the outdoors away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. WiFi is available at the barn should there be the need to reconnect with the world at large. Two guests sleep comfortably in the cabin; four would be a little tight but manageable - there is ample room for tents if need be. The 8' x 8' cabin has one set of twin bunkbeds (bedding is not provided) and an 8' x 4' covered porch. In the colder seasons there is a propane Buddy Heater available to keep the cabin cozy. The outhouse with a composting toilet is situated close to the cabin. There is a fire ring on the stone patio with a cooking grate available for grilling. Pre-purchased firewood will be at the cabin, ready for your arrival. Additional wood is available for purchase on the way up to the cabin. Recently added is a portable kitchen, set up outside for an easier cooking experience as well as a wash bin for dishes. The property is a mix of mature Hemlock, Pine, and Maple trees overlooking a large clean seasonal pond and meadow. Gravel cyclists and mountain bikers alike will find world class cycling right from the front door. The Deane/Osborne Preserve, less than mile away, offers superior hiking with panoramic views of the Adirondacks. Just a short walk away, Lake St. Catherine is a classic Vermont glacial lake offering excellent swimming, fishing, and boating. I Recommend parking in lower lot and hiking to the top to camp. The road is a off road/logging road to the top. Hipcamp and myself does not cover any damage to your vehicle . Read reviews before booking. It is a hike to the top that takes about 10-15 minute. Wear proper footwear . Must be a camper, outdoorsy or in decent shape to book this campsite . Green Mountain Getaway

A former farm now a 150 acre forested retreat. Mt Ascutney, a 3500' monadnock is to the north and view in excess of 60 miles to the south. The beautiful Weathersfield meeting house is our neighbor as you Spring is here and summer is right around the corner. Bookings are already rolling in so book early. Along with warmer weather will be the disgusting ticks. Please take necessary precautions. The road has gotten quite rough with all the wet weather. 4wd with ground clearance is recommended. Total trip from our house is 320yd if your car is not up to the trip in. Curl up in front of the fire and relax. Marsh Billings farm museum in Woodstock has lots of Vermont Country store is close and Woodstock has unique shopping. Spacious one room camp, bunk bed, dinning table, and chairs. Sweeping view to the South. Swimming pond 5 minute walk. LP burner and some cooking utensils. Wood stove for those chilly nights. No electricity but LED battery lighting. l. Note that we do not charge a cleaning fee like some sites. We appreciate our guest leaving the camp as found. So far so good! Camp has the following: LP 2 burner cook top, pots and pans, dishes, flat ware, some spices and such. Fresh clean water will be at the camp when you arrive. The furnished jugs have been cleaned. If you still wish to bring your own drinking water please do so in reusable jugs. We are trying to limit plastic use. NOTE: Using GPS, Google map, or other device our address may come up as Perkinsville, Ascutney, or even Springfield even though the town is Weathersfield. Check the map and just confirm that Center Grove Rd is shown or called out as off of Weathersfield Center Rd. We DO NOT furnish wood for the outside fire pit. There is plenty of wood to scavenge on site. There is a small buck saw in the cubby. However if it has rained or raining you may want to bring kindling wood. We now have slab wood for sale if you do not want to rummage for wood in the forest PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN KINDLING WOOD FOR THE STOVE. Chunk wood is furnished for the inside stove. There is a splitting maul, snow shovel, and hatchet Check in and out times are flexible if no one is booked on either side. And last but not least if wedding bells are in your future your host is a Justice of the Peace and can perform wedding services!

With the main house built in 1860 this property has seen many uses such as a farm, retail Christmas store, church, rental cabins, and a gravel quarry among other things. I now try to keep the back acreage by the brook and pond as natural as possible for habitat, as well as you the campers! Learn more about this land: Most will have cell service at the site or there is a free public Wi-Fi in Wilmington center. Private yet convenient to Downtown Wilmington, VT. Located between the Harriman reservoir and Lake Raponda, both great for boating, fishing and swimming. As well as the Deerfield River across the street, which runs through town. There is a public hiking trail that goes through the property. It goes from the Fairview ave. boat launch in Wilmington, all the way up to West Dover. You can access this at the back of the site. The site is only a minutes drive from downtown Wilmington, or you can hike/bike there on the trail (approx 15 min). In Wilmington there is plenty of shopping, gifts, coffee, restaurants, gas, liquor store. I also have dry, split firewood available as an extra for $5. Please don't bring your own unless it is prepackaged from shaws or bought from one of the local sellers right around me. Transportation of out of state firewood can bring invasive beetles to our forests...

Hartshorn Hideaway

This cabin has been in my family for over 20 years. When my sister purchased this cabin it was in rough shape, with a tar paper roof and a single bunk that was falling down. With help from our father's sawmill, and helping hands of friends and family, we were able to rebuild from the ground up. Ever since then, this cabin has been making memories for our family and friends. We hope whoever gets to experience our little piece of VT will also make great memories here. This cozy family owned cabin located in the town of Sunderland, Vermont. Surrounded by hundreds of acres of national forest, campers can enjoy the sounds of a swift stream flowing nearby, birds chirping in trees, and the rustling of leaves and branches in the breeze. This mountainous area has a rich array of wildlife, meadows, trails, and only a few miles away from the Battenkill River, a tributary of the Hudson River of New York. Once inside you’ll find a small kitchen and dining area complete with a wood burning stove for those cool Vermont nights. The sleeping area offers four generously-sized bunks, a loft area, and a queen futon. Enjoy the peace of nature with a cup of coffee on the porch, but don’t forget to cap off the night with smores around the fire pit! Access to Vermont’s Long Trail System is nearby, with its 272 mile footpath and 166miles of side trails. This offers endless hiking opportunities for the day-hiker, weekend overnighter and extended backpacker. The Long Trail follows the main ridge of the Green Mountains from the Massachusetts-Vermont state line to the Canadian border, crossing Vermont’s highest peaks. As for the daily adventures, take a drive to surrounding ski resorts, including Bromley Mountain being just 15 miles from the property, where you can enjoy various activities year-round. Take a 10 minute drive to visit Mount Equinox Skyline drive where you’ll take in incredible views. Just past Mount Equinox is The Village of Manchester, which is home to the famed Equinox Resort and Spa. In Manchester, guests can enjoy everything from shopping & dining to outdoor classes for ATV driving and fly fishing!
