Welcome to Kindred Creative Residence + Agro-Forest, a unique haven nestled on 66 acres of enchanting forest, fields, and meandering streams. Our space is more than just a retreat; it's a vibrant ecosystem with a small organic farm transitioning into an agro-forest food system. We are located 5 miles off a class 3 road. Conditions will vary depending on the season. A 4WD vehicle is recommended as we are a remote and mountainous location. Cell service is spotty and there is currently no wifi available. Be prepared to take a tech break while you are here. As proud members of the Woodlots program, we serve as a vital natural corridor for migrating animals and birds, contributing to the richness of biodiversity. The harmony of nature is not only preserved but celebrated within our grounds. At Kindred Creative Residence, we are not only stewards of the land but also artists and educators. Throughout the seasons, we curate a selection of classes and workshops that allow you to connect with nature, art, and sustainable living. Our location is at the bottom of a steep downward sloping driveway. You will pass the main house and grey barn on your right and see a cleared area to park your vehicle. You can pitch your tent in the clearing downhill along the path from the parking area. You will see a level site to your right. It is a short walk from the barn where there is an outdoor shower for your convenience.

The Yurt accommodates four individuals comfortably and has its own outhouse. It is nestled in a forest clearing surrounded by trees, vegetation, and sits next to a seasonal brook. There is a wood stove for three/four season camping. Hot showers are available up at the barn near the main house. Our campsites are a short, 3-5 minute, walk from the main parking area over steep sloping terrain.

The two bedroom, one bath, cabin sits at the top of the property with beautiful views of the mountains from the large south facing front window. A short drive to smugglers notch, this is a perfect winter getaway or summer retreat for families and small groups. There is a working wood stove and propane heater to keep keep the space warm and cozy. Enjoy snowshoeing, cross country skiing, or hiking on the land depending on the season.

Brookside Yurt
The Brookside Yurt at Kindred Creative Residence is a spacious and charming retreat nestled deep in the woods. The yurt is beautifully decorated and features a cozy wood-burning stove that keeps it warm and inviting, even during cooler seasons. The peaceful sound of the nearby babbling brook creates the perfect ambiance for a restful night’s sleep. With an outhouse and a large fire pit, the yurt offers a rustic yet comfortable stay. Set far back from the main house, the yurt provides plenty of privacy, and the many forest paths make it an ideal spot for nature walks and exploring the serene surroundings. A perfect place to unplug and reconnect with nature.

Clearing in the Forest #1
Lovely site. Hosts were wonderful and super helpful. The site was clean and very comfortable. Hosts provided extra firewood when I asked. Stayed out of our hair most of the time and gave us plenty of privacy. They even upgraded us to a better spot when our original spot was snowed out. Will probably return back here if given the chance!
