Maple Cabin
Trip of a lifetime
I and 19 friends rented Oak and Maple cabin to watch the 2024 eclipse. The cabins were clean and wood was available. Ranger Eric was very communicative and helpful. We had the most wonderful time and will cherish the memory forever

Mad River Village
Mount Norris Boy Scout Camp is a beautiful spot, quiet and peaceful on a pretty lake, and Mad River was a lovely collection of cabins, with comfortable benches to gather around our campfire, cook, eat and be together for the magic of the total eclipse. We felt very lucky to have found this spot to have this special experience. Ranger Eric was incredibly helpful and warm, delivering our wood, and preparing our site so soon after a foot and a half snow, plowing to make it easy for us to drive up and park, find our fire pit, and stay warm in our cabins.

Comfortable stay!
It was a lovely stay, warm enough for winter camping with the right gear - warm sleeping bag and wool clothes. The Ranger was a great host and went out of his way to answer all our questions and thoroughly plowed all the roadways on the site. I look forward to staying here in the future.

Great facility that's private and well maintained. Ranger Eric was an excellent, very hospitable host who was very helpful during our stay. We'll definitely be back.
